A mesoscale model based on Monte-Carlo method for concrete fracture behavior study

An aggregate generation and packing algorithm based on Monte-Carlo method is developed to express the aggregate random distribution in cement concrete. A mesoscale model is proposed on the basis of the algorithm. In this model, the concrete con- sists of three parts, namely coarse aggregate, cement matrix and the interracial transition zone （ITZ） between them. To verify the proposed model, a three-point bending beam test was performed and a series of two-dimensional mesoscale concrete mod- els were generated for crack behavior investigation. The results indicate that the numerical model proposed in this study is helpful in modeling crack behavior of concrete, and that treating concrete as heterogeneous material is very important in frac- ture modeling.

The Result Integration Algorithm Based on Matching Strategy

The following paper provides a new algorithm： a result integration algorithm based on matching strategy. The algorithm extracts the title and the abstract of Web pages, calculates the relevance between the query string and the Web pages, decides the Web pages accepted, rejected and sorts them out in user interfaces. The experiment results in dieate obviously that the new algorithms improve the precision of meta-search engine. This technique is very useful to metasearch engine.

According to the requirements of design and construction rules for mechanical components of pressurized water reactor nuclear islands, the primary hydrostatic test must be carried out before and after the operation of nuclear power plant. The overpressure protection system is used to prevent the accidental overpressure of the primary circuit during the hydrostatic test, and to alleviate the serious consequences of overpressure on the involved test equipment. The system design and equipment selection for the primary circuit of the third generation nuclear power plants are much different from that of the second generation ones. In addition, the construction of the third generation nuclear power plants is too late to have the reference experience. Based on the control characteristics of the primary process system in European pressurized water reactor and the deficiency of the overpressure protection system in china pressurized water reactor, the research work is conducted from the hereafter aspects, the pressure control strategy of the primary hydrostatic test, scheme design of the overpressure protection system, commissioning and site application. And it is also applied in the primary hydrostatic test of a nuclear power plant. The practical results show that the implementation principle of the overpressure protection system is correct, the analysis of risks and various countermeasures is appropriate, and the implementation scheme is feasible. The research work and practice can provide some reference for the subsequent project construction.

Application and Innovation of Equipment Reliability management at nuclear power Stations

To achieve excellent production capability and maintain high security for nuclear power stations, equipment reliability is studied as a key issue. As the main branch, equipment reliability management is considered as an effective approach to make plant management strategy and organize routine work. Some achievements on research and application of equipment reliability management at daya bay nuclear power Station are introduced in this paper. By studying and implementing 1NPO （Institute of nuclear power operations） AP-913 equipment reliability process, reliability-centered maintenance （RCM）, critical component management （CCM）, and many other similar methods, equipment reliability management system has been established at daya bay. And by continuous effort on improving application effect of these technologies, some innovation has also been made. Some innovative products, such as iSOM Intelligent Expert System, reliability and technique centered maintenance （RtCM）, predictive maintenance system （PdM）, and so on, have been developed. Based on these achievements, daya bay nuclear power Station has achieved excellent operation performance and won several prizes in WANO （World Association of nuclear Operators） competition every year.
