Does Primary and secondary school Students'On-Campus Out-of-school-Hours Tutoring Reduce Private Tutoring Participation?—Based on China Family Panel Studies

This study analyzed the effect of primary and secondary school students'on-campus out-of-school-hours(OSH)tutoring participation on private tutoring participation using the two-level Bernoulli model based on the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data in *** results revealed that students'on-campus OSH tutoring participation did not decrease the likelihood of their private tutoring participation,while low-achieving students or students from disadvantaged family socioeconomic status(SES)were more likely to continue to participate in private tutoring after receiving OSH *** may be due to the following:Firstly,on-campus OSH tutoring was less targeted and personalized before the implementation of the"double reduction"policy;secondly,private tutoring institutions conducted misleading marketing and offered private tutoring in the time for on-campus OSH tutoring;and thirdly,students with disadvantaged family SES had fewer opportunities to receive high-quality OSH ***,it is suggested that concerted efforts be made to provide more targeted and personalized on-campus OSH tutoring and prohibit academic private tutoring institutions from entering ***,it is necessary to enrich the supply of OsH service resources for interest and quality development,optimize the allocation of on-campus OsH tutoring resources,and facilitate the balanced,quality-oriented development of OSH tutoring among different schoolsandregions.

A new kind of non-Gaussian quantum catalyzed state is proposed via multiphoton measurements and two-mode squeezing as an input of thermal *** characteristics of the generated multiphoton catalysis output state depends on the thermal parameter,catalyzed photon number and squeezing *** then analyze the nonclassical properties by examining the photon number distribution,photocount distribution and partial negativity of the Wigner *** findings indicate that nonclassicality can be achieved through the implementation of multiphoton catalysis operations and modulated by the thermal parameter,catalyzed photon number and squeezing parameter.

Ferroptosis inhibitors reduce celastrol toxicity and preserve its insulin sensitizing effects in insulin resistant HepG2 cells

Objective:Research has shown that celastrol can effectively treat a variety of diseases,yet when passing a certain dosage threshold,celastrol becomes toxic,causing complications such as liver and kidney damage and erythrocytopenia,among *** this dichotomy in mind,it is extremely important to find ways to preserve celastrol’s efficacy while reducing or preventing its ***:In this study,insulin-resistant Hep G2(IR-Hep G2)cells were prepared using palmitic acid and used for in vitro ***-Hep G2 cells were treated with celastrol alone or in combination with Nacetylcysteine(NAC)or ferrostatin-1(Fer-1)for 12,24 or 48 h,at a range of *** counting kit-8assay,Western blotting,quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction,glucose consumption assessment,and flow cytometry were performed to measure celastrol’s cytotoxicity and whether the cell death was linked to ***:Celastrol treatment increased lipid oxidation and decreased expression of anti-ferroptosis proteins in IR-Hep G2 *** downregulated glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)m *** docking models predicted that solute carrier family 7 member 11(SLC7A11)and GPX4 were covalently bound by ***,we found for the first time that the application of ferroptosis inhibitors(especially NAC)was able to reduce celastrol’s toxicity while preserving its ability to improve insulin sensitivity in IR-Hep G2 ***:One potential mechanism of celastrol’s cytotoxicity is the induction of ferroptosis,which can be alleviated by treatment with ferroptosis *** findings provide a new strategy to block celastrol’s toxicity while preserving its therapeutic effects.

Atomically-dispersed iron-based electrocatalysts are promising substitutes for noble metal electrocatalysts because of excellent performance in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Rationally modulating the local coordination environment of the Fe site and optimizing the binding energy of oxygen reduction intermediates are effective strategies to optimize ORR ***,we report a new method in which Ni is introduced to construct NiFe dual single atoms and iron nanoclusters loaded on the nitrogen-doped carbon with a highly porous *** design plays a synergistic role of dual single atoms and clusters,optimizes the 3d orbital and Fermi level of Fe,breaks the symmetrical structure of Fe-N_(4),and effectively improves the adsorption/desorption behavior of the oxygen-containing *** tests show FeNCs/NiFeSAs-NC has an excellent intrinsic *** calculations show the oxygen-containing species on the Ni active site will move to the middle of NiFe(bridge site connection)after optimization and that the key step is OH desorption,with a reaction energy of 0.27 *** electron exchange between NiFe-N6 and Fe-cluster is very strong,further indicating the introduction of Ni species and Fe clusters has a regulatory effect on the electronic structure of Fe-N_(4).

Investigating the interaction between umami peptides and umami receptor T1R1/T1R3-VFT: a computational approach

The study of ligand-receptor interactions is of great significance in food flavor perception. In this study， a computer simulation method was used to investigate the mechanism of interaction between umami peptides and T1R1/T1R3-VFT receptor. The binding site， conformational changes， and binding free energy between umami peptides and T1R1/T1R3-VFT were analyzed through molecular modeling， molecular docking， and molecular dynamics simulations. The receptor model constructed using AlphaFold2 has the best rationality. The molecular docking results showed that umami peptides primarily bound to T1R1-VFT through hydrogen bonding， with key binding residues such as 149THR， 151ARG， and 108ASP. The binding of umami peptides led to a more stable complex system， and the positively charged amino acids contributed positively to the overall binding free energy. This study provides theoretical support for the development of a better understanding of the interaction between umami substances and the umami receptor.

Enhanced Sensitivity and Stability in Gelatin-Based Fricke gel Dosimeters:Impact of Benzoic Acid on Low-Dose Radiation Measurements

Fricke gel dosimetry is a critical technique for accurate radiation dose measurement,leveraging the radiation-induced oxidation of ferrous to ferric ions within a hydrogel *** study aimed to advance the field by preparing and evaluating seventy-one Fricke gel dosimeter (FGD) samples with varying chemical compositions,focusing on the incorporation of benzoic *** gelatin-based samples demonstrated superior sensitivity,particularly for low-dose *** findings indicated that the sample without benzoic acid exhibited a 1.75 times higher sensitivity compared to the sample containing benzoic acid,with lower limits of detection at 0.04 Gy and 0.1 Gy,*** tests revealed temperature-dependent responses,with better performance observed under refrigerated *** was confirmed through consistent calibration curves across multiple ***,the dosimeters'responses varied with different radiation types,underscoring the need for specific *** study concludes that while benzoic acid slightly reduces sensitivity,it provides consistent responses across various radiation energies,suggesting its potential as a beneficial additive in diverse clinical *** research contributes to the ongoing optimization of FGDs for precise radiation dose assessment.

Electromagnetic field produced in high-energy small collision systems within charge density models of nucleons

Recent experiments show that Δy,an observable designed to detect the chiral magnetic effect(CME),in small collision systems(p+A) is similar to that in heavy ion collisions(A+A).This introduces a challenge to the existence of the CME because it is believed that no azimuthal correlation exists between the orientation of the magnetic field(Φ_(B)) and participant plane(Φ_(2)) in small collision *** this work,we introduce three charge density models to describe the inner charge distributions of protons and neutrons and calculate the electric and magnetic fields produced in small p+A collisions at both RHIC and LHC *** results show that the contribution of the single projectile proton is the main contributor to the magnetic field after averaging over all *** azimuthal correlation between Φ_(B) and Φ_(2) is small but not ***,owing to the large fluctuation in field strength,the magnetic-field contribution to Δγ may be large.
