Effect of Ca promoter on LPG synthesis from syngas over hybrid catalyst

Direct synthesis of liquefied petroleum gas （LPG） from syngas was carried out over hybrid catalyst consisting of methanol synthesis catalyst and modified Y zeolite with Pd and Ca by different methods. The decrease of CO conversion was mostly attributable to the sintering of Cu in methanol synthesis catalyst. On the other hand, coke deposition on Y zeolite was the reason for the decrease of LPG selectivity. The introduction of Ca decreased the strong acid sites of Y zeolite, suppressed coke formation, and thus improved the stability of hybrid catalyst.

The quasi-classical trajectory （QCT） method is used to calculate the stereo-dynamics of the exchange reaction Ha＋LiHb→LiHa＋Hb and its isotopic variants based on an accurate potential energy surface reported by Prudente et al. [Prudente F V, Marques J M C and Maniero A M 2009 Chem. Phys. Lett. 474 18]. The reactive probability of the title reaction is computed. The vector correlations and four polarization-dependent generalized differential cross sections （PDDCSs） at different collision energies are presented. The influences of the collision energy and the reagent rotation on the product polarization are studied in the present work. The results indicate that the product rotational angular momentum j′ is not only aligned, but also oriented along the direction perpendicular to the scattering plane. The product polarization distributions of the title reaction and its isotopic variants exhibit distinct differences which may arise from different mass combinations.

Unsymmetrical hybrid chiral phosphine-aminophosphine ligand derived from 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-l-naphthyl- amine has been found to be highly efficient in the Ir-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of various 3-aryl-2H-1,4-benzoxazines, providing good enantioselectivities （up to 95% ee） and high catalytic activity （S/C up to 5000）.

The coupling of model batteries and surface-sensitive techniques provides an indispensable platform for interrogating the vital surface/interface processes in battery ***,we report a sandwich-format nanopore-array model battery using an ultrathin graphite electrode and an anodized aluminum oxide(AAO)*** porous framework of AAO regulates the contact pattern of the electrolyte with the graphite electrode from the inner side,while minimizing contamination on the outer *** model battery facilitates repetitive charge-discharge processes,where the graphite electrode is reversibly intercalated and deintercalated,and also allows for the in-situ characterizations of ion intercalation in the graphite *** ion distribution profiles indicate that the intercalating Li ions accumulate in both the inner and outer surface regions of graphite,generating a high capacity of~455 mAh·g^(-1)(theory:372 mAh·g^(-1)).The surface enrichment presented herein provides new insights towards the mechanistic understanding of batteries and the rational design strategies.

A surface photocatalysis-TPD apparatus devoted to studying kinetics and mechanism of pho- tocatalytic processes with various signal crystal surfaces has been constructed. Extremely high vacuum （-0.2 nPa） in the ionization region is obtained by using multiple ultrahigh vacuum pumps. Compared with similar instruments built previously by others~ the H2, CH4 background in the ionization region can be reduced by about two orders of magnitude, and other residual gases in the ionization region can be reduced by about an order of magnitude. Therefore, the signal-to-noise ratio for the temperature programmed desorption （TPD） and time of flight （TOF） spectra is substantially enhanced, making experimental studies of pho- tocatalytic processes on surfaces much easier. In this work, we describe the new apparatus in detail and present some preliminary studies on the photo-induced oxygen vacancy defects on TiO2（110） at 266 nm by using the TPD and TOF methods. Preliminary results suggest that the apparatus is a powerful tool for studying kinetics and mechanism of photochemical processes.

In-depth understanding of the electrolyte-dependent intercalation chemistry in batteries through direct operando/in situ characterizations is crucial for the development of the high-performance ***,taking the Al/graphite battery as a model system,the effect of electrolyte coordination structure on the intercalation processes has been investigated over the batteries with either 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride(HMICl)-AlCl_(3) or 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride(EMICl)-AlCl_(3) ionic liquid electrolyte using operando X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and X-ray *** a weaker anion-cation interaction in HMI-based electrolyte,the XPS-derived atomic ratio between cointercalated N and intercalated Al is 0.9,which is lower than 1.6 for EMI-based *** to the additional de-solvation process,the batteries with the HMI-based electrolyte show a lower ionic diffusion rate,capacity,and cycling performance,which agree with the operando characterization *** findings highlight the critical role of the electrolyte coordination structure on the(co-)intercalation chemistry.

DC discharge characteristics of NF3/He have been investigated experimentally under different experimental conditions, for example, different electrode materials, separations, flow rates of the gas NF3 or He, and series resistances. The optimum discharge parameters and the fluorine atom yield from the DC discharge of NF3/He as function of load power are studied experimentally.

Microporous polyamide membrane (Nylon 6, PA) was modified by add hydrolysis and then coupled with hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) to amplify reactive groups and reduce nonspecific interaction with proteins. 1,6-Diaminohexane (DAH) as space arm and phenylalanine (Phe) as ligand were immobilized onto nylon membrane through the activation of s-triazine trichloride (CyCl3). The affinity membrane obtained can be used to adsorb γ-globulin specifically. The optimum conditions of preparing affinity membrane and adsorbing bovine γ-globulin were studied.

Molecular imprinting polymers (MIPs) against N-Cbz-L-Tyr were prepared utilizing different polymer systems and evaluated in HPLC mode. It was found that MIP utilizing cocktail functional monomers, acrylamide + 2-vinylpyridine showed better molecular recognition and better separation ability for the template molecule than those utilizing other functional monomers. MIP utilizing trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate as cross-linker showed higher load capacity and separation factor than those utilizing ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as cross-linker. Increasing the concentration of competing solvent, acetic acid weakened me ionic interaction and hydrogen bonding between the analyte and the functional monomers, 2-vinylpyridine and acrylamide, when me template enantiomer was separated by HPLC. Therefore increasing of the concentration of acetic acid leads to decreasing of capacity factor, separation factor and resolution.
