Zika virus(ZIKV)is the causative agent of a viral infection that causes neurological complications in newborns and adults *** wide transmission route and alarming spread rates are of great concern to the scientific *** trials have been conducted to develop treatment options for ZIKV *** review highlights the latest developments in the fields of vaccinology and pharmaceuticals developments for ZIKV infection.A systematic and comprehensive approach was used to gather relevant and up-to-date data so that inferences could be made about the gaps in therapeutic *** results indicate that several therapeutic interventions are being tested against ZIKV infection,such as DNA vaccines,subunit vaccines,live-attenuated vaccines,virus-vector-based vaccines,inactivated vaccines,virus-like particles,and mRNA-based *** addition,approved anti-ZIKV drugs that can reduce the global burden are *** many vaccine candidates for ZIKV are at different stages of development,none of them have received Food and Drug Authority approval for use up to *** issue of side effects associated with these drugs in vulnerable newborns and pregnant women is a major obstacle in the therapeutic pathway.

Cholera toxin A1 residues single alanine substitutional mutation and effect on activity with stimulatory G protein

Cholera is a well-known gastrointestinal *** cholera toxin is an important pathological substance in pathogenesis of cholera *** toxin is composed of catalytic A1 subunit,an A2 linker,and a homopentameric cell-binding B *** enterocyte,cholera toxin will attach to GM1 ganglioside receptors on the apical membrane and causes retrograde vesicular trafficking to endoplasmic *** endoplasmic reticulum,cholera toxin A1 is released from the rest of the toxin into *** cholera toxin A1 interacts will catalyze ADP ribosylation of subunits of stimulatory G protein resulting a persistent activation of adenylate cyclase and an elevation of intracellular c AMP which further result in *** single alanine substitutional mutation can result in the reduction of the interaction activity between cholera toxin A1 and stimulatory G *** this study,the four well-known mutations,H55,R67,L71,S78,or D109,of cholera toxin A1 is *** author hereby calculates for the reaction energy for the reaction between cholera toxin A1 and stimulatory G protein in na¨?ve case and mutated *** calculate,the standard bonding energy calculation technique in mutation analysis was *** can be seen that aberrant in reaction energy in each studied mutation is different and can imply the different effect on activity with stimulatory G protein.

Anisakiasis is an important worm infestation. It is seen in some non-tropical countries and becomes an important issue in coastal medicine. However, in the few recent years, there are some reports on occurrence of anisakiasis in tropical countries. In this specific short article,the authors review and present the situation of anisakiasis in Southeast Asia. It can be said that anisakiasis becomes a new focused interest in tropical coastal medicine at present.

Zika virus infection is a new emerging viral disease that becomes the present public health threat. At present, this infection can be seen in several countries. The clinical presentation of this infection is a dengue-like illness. Nevertheless, the new information shows that the disease can be sexually transmitted and transplacentally transmitted. In addition, the recent evidence from the recent epidemic in South America shows that the infection in pregnancy can cause neonatal neurological defect. In this short review, the author summarizes and presents interesting data on clinical features of this new emerging infection.

Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreve rsible blindness wo rldwide,and previous studies have shown that,in addition to affecting the eyes,it also causes abnormalities in the ***,it is not yet clear how the primary visual cortex(V1)is altered in *** study used DBA/2J mice as a model for spontaneous secondary *** aim of the study was to compare the electrophysiological and histomorphological chara cteristics of neurons in the V1between 9-month-old DBA/2J mice and age-matched C57BL/6J *** conducted single-unit recordings in the V1 of light-anesthetized mice to measure the visually induced responses,including single-unit spiking and gamma band *** morphology of layerⅡ/Ⅲneurons was determined by neuronal nuclear antigen staining and Nissl staining of brain tissue ***-seven neurons from eight DBA/2J mice and eighty-one neurons from eight C57BL/6J mice were *** with the C57BL/6J group,V1 neurons in the DBA/2J group exhibited weaker visual tuning and impaired spatial *** r,fewer neuro ns were observed in the V1 of DBA/2J mice compared with C57BL/6J *** findings suggest that DBA/2J mice have fewer neurons in the VI compared with C57BL/6J mice,and that these neurons have impaired visual *** findings provide a better understanding of the pathological changes that occur in V1 neuron function and morphology in the DBA/2J mouse *** study might offer some innovative perspectives regarding the treatment of glaucoma.

Zika virus infection becomes the important global problem in the present day. The worldwide distribution of the infection can be seen. The genetic epidemiology study shows that the infection has subgroups of outbreaks. The Asian lineage is an interesting group that can be seen in a wide area. In this short article, the authors reappraises on the phylogenetic data of Asian lineage. The study on period, distance and phylogenetic parameter differences among isolated from several countries in the Asia lineage group is done. Based on the present study, the time and place dimnensional analysis can show that the disease distribution should be mainly induced by the international traveling.
