Time and Space Efficient Multi-Model Convolution Vision Transformer for Tomato Disease Detection from Leaf Images with Varied Backgrounds

A Comparison of Airborne Formaldehyde Field Measurements Collected in an Anatomic Pathology Laboratory

Environmental monitoring of airborne formaldehyde (FA) using sensitive methodologies is fundamental to prevent health risks. The objective of this study was to compare three different FA monitoring methods during the daily activities of an anatomic pathology laboratory. Daily eight-hour measurements deriving from Radiello® passive diffusive samplers (PDS), NEMo XT continuous optical sensor (COS), and multi-gas 1512 photoacoustic monitor (MPM) were simultaneously compared over a period of 14 working days. Given the different daily distributions of the measurements performed by the three devices, all measurements were time-aligned for comparison purposes. The 95% limit of agreement (LOA) method was applied to estimate the degree of concordance of each device with respect to the others. Formaldehyde arithmetic mean measured using PDS was 32.6 ± 10.4 ppb (range: 19.8 - 62.7). The simultaneous measures performed by COS and MPM were respectively 42.4 ± 44.8 ppb (range: 7.0 - 175.0) and 189.0 ± 163.7 ppb (range: 40.0 - 2895.4). The MPM geometric mean (171.3 ppb) was approximately five times higher than those derived from COS (32.3 ppb) and PDS (31.4 ppb). The results of the LOA method applied to log-transformed FA data showed the same systematic discrepancies between MPM and the other two devices. A good agreement between PDS and COS could lead to a tailored approach according to the individual specificity of these techniques. This tool may be useful for accurately assessing the risk of FA exposure among healthcare workers. However, the limited specificity of the MPM does not support its use as a monitoring method for FA in the workplace.

Multi-agent systems are usually equipped with open communication infrastructures to improve interactions efficiency,reliability and *** technologically costeffective,this makes them vulnerable to cyber-attacks with potentially catastrophic *** this end,we present a novel control architecture capable to deal with the distributed constrained regulation problem in the presence of time-delay attacks on the agents’communication *** basic idea consists of orchestrating the interconnected cyber-physical system as a leader-follower configuration so that adequate control actions are computed to isolate the attacked unit before it compromises the system *** on a multi-area power system confirm that the proposed control scheme can reconfigure the leader-follower structure in response to denial ofservice(DoS)attacks.

Evaluating Group Formation in Virtual Communities

In this paper, we are interested in answering the following research question: "Is it possible to form effective groups in virtual communities by exploiting trust information without significant overhead, similarly to real user communities?"In order to answer this question, instead of adopting the largely used approach of exploiting the opinions provided by all the users of the community(called global reputation), we propose to use a particular form of reputation, called local reputation. We also propose an algorithm for group formation able to implement the proposed procedure to form effective groups in virtual communities. Another interesting question is how to measure the effectiveness of groups in virtual communities. To this aim we introduce the index in a measure of the effectiveness of the group formation. We tested our algorithm by realizing some experimental trials on real data from the real world EPINIONS and CIAO communities, showing the significant advantages of our procedure w.r.t. another prominent approach based on traditional global reputation.

BACKGROUND Pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma (PACC) is a rare type of malignant pancreatic cancer that represents approximately 1%of all pancreatic *** to its very low incidence,only a few retrospective studies are *** surgery is the first choice for treatment,most patients experience recurrence(mainly in the liver) and there are no clear recommendations for patients with advanced *** SUMMARY We report two patients with PACC treated with sturgery who experienced tumour recurrence in the *** 1 carried a germline mutation in the APC *** patients were treated with gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin and gemcitabine plus capecitabine as first-and second-line therapies,*** a favoturable response to chemotherapy,the patients underwent radiofrequency ablation of the remaining liver *** patient 1,we documented a relapse in the liver after a disease-free period of 9 mo,and treatment with gemcitabine plus capecitabine was *** patient achieved a complete response,and he remains alive without evidence of disease recurrence after six *** radiofrequency ablation,patient 2 experienced disease-free survival for 21 mo,when peritoneal relapse was diagnosed and treated with *** patient achieved a stable disease state for nearly two years;nevertheless,further progressive disease was documented,and he died seven years after the first *** PACC presents different biological behaviours than pancreatic *** treatment involving local ablative therapies may be considered for PACC.
