Based on the first-principles all-electron full-potential augmented-plane-wave plus local orbital method, an equation of state （EOS） at OK for copper up to 10000 GPa （10^8 bar） is presented. Our recommended EOS is in good agreement with the available experimental data. Furthermore, the agreement between theoretical EOS of hcp and fcc lattices at extremely compressed condition sets the foundation of spherical atom models for high density and high temperate plasmas.

The global positioning system (GPS) ray-shooting method is a self-sufficient observation operator in GPS/MET (meteorology) data variational assimilation linking up the GPS observation data and the atmosphere state variables . But it cannot be applied to data assimilation and operational prediction so far because of huge computations. In order to reduce the amount of computation, a 2-order time-saving symplectic scheme is used to solve the equations of the GPS ray trajectory, due to its separable Hamiltonian nature, and good results are achieved. Not only does it save 75% of CPU time taken by the old GPS ray-shooting model with 4th-order Runge-Kutta method , but also it improves the simulation accuracy to some extent.

The oxalate co-precipitation method was used to synthesize the La3+substituted Ni-Cu-Zn(La-NCZ)nanoferrites having chemical composition Ni_(0.7)Cu_(0.1)Zn_(0.2)LaxFe_(2-x)O_(4)(x=0.015,0.025 and 0.035).DC resistivity study of nanoferrites shows both the conducting and semiconducting *** room temperature DC electrical resistivity of Ni-Cu-Zn(NCZ)nanoferrites decreases,whereas Curie temperature increases with increasing La^(3+)*** the temperature range of 30-170℃nanoferrites show p-type semiconducting behavior except x=0.015;thereafter,they show n-type *** frequency dispersive initial permeability(μi)associated with its real and imaginary(μ’andμ")parts are attributed to the domain wall movement and magnetic spin ***μi,u’andμ"of La-NCZ nanoferrites are higher than those of pure NCZ *** constant(ε’),dielectric loss(ε")and AC resistivity(ρAC)of La-NCZ nanoferrites show normal dielectric *** is found thatε’of NCZ nanoferrites decreases with the increasing content of La3+*** bandgap energy of La-NCZ nanoferrites is achieved in the range 1.36-1.70 eV confirming the semiconducting nature of materials.

We numerically study the thermodynamic properties of a hard ellipsoid fluid by mainly focusing on its phase transition from an isotropic phase into a nematic phase （i.e. isotropie-nematic phase transition）. To improve the accuracy, precision, and efficiency of our computations, we attempt to employ the Wang-Landau NPT Monte Carlo algorithm in our simulations to calculate the function p（V） that gives the probability of arriving at the threshold density of the isotropic-nematic transition. Our results directly reveal that the nematic fluid phase, which is characterized by an ordered direction rather than an ordered configuration, appears and coexists with the isotropic phase when the aspect ratio a of the ellipsoid is located in a relatively narrow range of α = 2.0-2.25, and it becomes dominant and is fully established when α≥αcut = 2.25. We find that our estimated αcut is significantly lower than previously reported values of around 2.75. This prediction is further confirmed by the calculations of both the fluid reduced density and pressure of coexistence which show that the pressure grows up as the density increases and the probability function p（V） exhibits double peaks when the pressure enters the coexistence region. Based on these consistent results we are able to conclude that when α≥2.25 an ellipsoid fluid can fully display the nematic behavior. This study will place a useful and tight theoretical constraint on investigations of the isotropic-nematic phase transition in the future.

Copper nitride thin film was deposited on glass substrates by reactive DC （direct current） magnetron sputtering at a 0.5 Pa N2 partial pressure and different substrate temperatures. The as-prepared film, characterized with X-Ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements, showed a composed structure of Cu3N crystallites with anti-ReO3 structure and a slight oxidation of the resulted *** crystal structure and growth rate of Cu3N films were affected strongly by substrate temperature. The preferred crystalline orientation of Cu3N films were （111） and （200） at RT, 100℃. These peaks decayed at 200℃ and 300℃ only Cu （111） peak was noticed. Growth of Cu3N films at 100℃ is the optimum substrate temperature for producing high-quality （111） Cu3N films. The deposition rate of Cu3N films estimated to be in range of 18-30 nm/min increased while the resistivity and the microhardness of Cu3N films decreased when the temperature of glass substrate increased.

Electron temperature and electron number density are important parameters in the characterization of plasma. In this paper the electron temperature and electron number density of soil plasma generated by laser ablation combined with nanosecond discharge spark at different discharge voltages have been studied. Saha-Boltzmann plot and Stark broadening are used to determine the temper- ature and electron number density. It is proved that local thermal equilibrium is fulfilled in the nanosecond spark enhanced plasma. The enhanced optical emission, signal to noise ratio and the stability in term of the relative standard deviation of signal intensity at different spark voltages were investigated in detail. A relative stable discharge process was observed with use of a 10 kV discharge voltage under the carried experimental configuration.

The phase transition of spiral waves in networks of Hodgkin-Huxley neurons induced by channel noise is investigated in *** neurons in the networks are coupled with small-world connections,and the results are compared with the case for regular networks,in which all neurons are completely coupled with nearest-neighbor connections.A statistical variable is defined to study the collective behavior and phase transition of the spiral wave due to the channel noise and topology of the *** effect of small-world connection networks is described by local regular networks and long-range connection with certain probability *** numerical results confirm that (1) a stable rotating spiral wave can be developed and maintain robust with low p,where the breakup of the spiral wave and turbulence result from increasing the probability p to a certain threshold;(2) appropriate intensity of the optimized channel noise can develop a spiral wave among turbulent states in small-world connection networks of H-H neurons;and (3) regular connection networks are more robust to channel noise than small-world connection networks.A spiral wave in a small-world network encounters instability more easily as the membrane temperature is increased to a certain high threshold.

The measurement of decay parameters is one of the important goals of particle physics experiments, and the measurement serves as a probe to search for evidence of CP violation in baryonic decays. The experimental results will aid in advancing existing theoretical research and establishing new experimental objectives. In this study,we formulate the asymmetric parameters that characterize parity violation, and then derive formulas for the measurement of CP violation. The formulae for the joint angular distribution of the full decay chain as well as the polarization observable of ■ are also provided for experiments. Lastly, we evaluated the sensitivity of two asymmetric parameters ■ (abbreviated as ■) and ■(abbreviated as ■) for future experimental measurements.
