Tomographic particle image velocimetry measurement on three-dimensional swirling flow in dual-stage counter-rotating swirler

Three-Dimensional(3D)swirling flow structures,generated by a counter-rotating dualstage swirler in a confined chamber with a confinement ratio of 1.53,were experimentally investigated at Re=2.3×10^(5)using Tomographic Particle Image Velocimetry(Tomo-PIV)and planar Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV).Based on the analysis of the 3D time-averaged swirling flow structures and 3D Proper Orthogonal Decomposition(POD)of the Tomo-PIV data,typical coherent flow structures,including the Corner Recirculation Zone(CRZ),Central Recirculation Zone(CTRZ),and Lip Recirculation Zone(LRZ),were *** counter-rotating dual-stage swirler with a Venturi flare generates the independence process of vortex breakdown from the main stage and pilot stage,leading to the formation of an LRZ and a smaller CTRZ near the nozzle *** confinement squeezes the CRZ to the corner and causes a reverse rotation flow to limit the shape of the CTRZ.A large-scale flow structure caused by the main stage features an explosive breakup,flapping,and Precessing Vortex core(PVC).The explosive breakup mode dominates the swirling flow structures owing to the expansion and construction of the main jet,whereas the flapping mode is related to the wake *** limits the expansion of PVC and causes it to contract after the impacting area.

FPGA and computer-vision-based atom tracking technology for scanning probe microscopy

Atom tracking technology enhanced with innovative algorithms has been implemented in this study,utilizing a comprehensive suite of controllers and software independently developed *** an on-board field-programmable gate array(FPGA)with a core frequency of 100 MHz,our system facilitates reading and writing operations across 16 channels,performing discrete incremental proportional-integral-derivative(PID)calculations within 3.4 *** upon this foundation,gradient and extremum algorithms are further integrated,incorporating circular and spiral scanning modes with a horizontal movement accuracy of 0.38 *** integration enhances the real-time performance and significantly increases the accuracy of atom *** tracking achieves an equivalent precision of at least 142 pm on a highly oriented pyrolytic graphite(HOPG)surface under room temperature atmospheric *** applying computer vision and image processing algorithms,atom tracking can be used when scanning a large *** techniques primarily consist of two algorithms:the region of interest(ROI)-based feature matching algorithm,which achieves 97.92%accuracy,and the feature description-based matching algorithm,with an impressive 99.99%*** implementation approaches have been tested for scanner drift measurements,and these technologies are scalable and applicable in various domains of scanning probe microscopy with broad application prospects in the field of nanoengineering.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disease afflicting women of childbearing age. It is characterized by irregular menstruation， clinical or biochemical hyperandrogenemia， and polycystic ovary morphology. As a complex endocrine-metabolic syndrome， PCOS shares several endocrine-metabolic features with the metabolic syndrome (MS)， with insulin resistance at the core of their pathogenic mechanisms. PCOS and MS are interrelated and thus have similarities in treatment. Currently， the common treatment modalities for both are lifestyle intervention， medication， and surgery. More studies have shown that lifestyle intervention and regulation of intestinal flora are more effective and sustainable. However， progress towards treatment and cure is hampered by unclear etiology and mechanisms. This review aimed to summarize the relationship between PCOS and MS， the pathogenesis of metabolic disorders， and the current nutritional therapeutic strategies， especially lifestyle modifications and modulation of intestinal flora. Lifestyle interventions combined with the regulation of gut flora can be a new perspective for treatment. This perspective has a positive significance in the early diagnosis， adoption of personalized treatment plans， and prevention of complications in PCOS and MS. The need to prevent the occurrence of MS in patients with PCOS should be emphasized.

Systematic review and Meta-analysis of 26 randomized controlled clinical trials of Compound Danshen Dripping Pill for non-proliferating diabetic retinopathy

Objective:Diabetic retinopathy(DR) is the retinal consequence of chronic progressive diabetic microvascular leakage and ***-proliferating diabetic retinopathy(NPDR) is the early stage of *** eventually occurs to some degree in all patients with diabetes *** recent years,many clinical trials have shown that Compound Danshen Dripping Pill(CDDP) may be associated with the improvement of NPDR *** aim of this study was to quantitatively summarize the association between CDDP and the therapeutic effects of ***:It was conducted that a systematic literature search of Pub Med,Web of Science,CNKI,VIP and Wanfang Data updated in June 2020 with the following search terms:"diabetic retinopathy° or"retinopathy° or "DR° or "NPDR°,in combination with "Compound Danshen Dripping Pill° or "Salvia miltiorrhiza° or "Danshen°.Risk ratio(RR) and weighted mean difference(WMD) with their 95% confidence interval(CI) was calculated between treatment and control *** sensitivity analyses were undertaken by removing each individual study when high heterogeneity *** analysis,Metaregression,and publication bias analysis were also *** strength of evidence was evaluated with the Grading of Recommendation,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation(GRADE) ***:Twenty-six RCTs involving 2047 subjects were included to conduct a Meta-analysis after screening the studies,extracting the data,and assessing the study *** Stata15.0 software was utilized for ***-analysis indicated that curative effects of treatment group with CDDP was significantly better than control [RR = 0.54,95% CI(0.40,0.73);moderate-quality evidence].In addition,the results showed that CDDP was significantly associated with improving retinal hemorrhages[WMD =-0.62,95% CI(-0.78,-0.46);low-quality evidence],the vision [WMD = 0.14,and 95% CI(0.09,0.19),low-quality evidence],fundus fluorescence angiography [RR = 0.37 and 95% CI(0.23,0.60);low-qualit

Formation of large-and medium-sized Cretaceous volcanic reservoirs in the offshore Bohai Bay Basin,East China

Based on the geological and geophysical data of Mesozoic oil-gas exploration in the sea area of Bohai Bay Basin and the discovered high-yield volcanic oil and gas wells since 2019,this paper methodically summarizes the formation conditions of large-and medium-sized Cretaceous volcanic oil and gas reservoirs in the Bohai *** shows that the Mesozoic large intermediate-felsic lava and intermediate-felsic composite volcanic edifices in the Bohai Sea are the material basis for the formation of large-scale volcanic *** upper subfacies of effusive facies and cryptoexplosive breccia subfacies of volcanic conduit facies of volcanic vent-proximal facies belts are favorable for large-scale volcanic reservoir *** types of efficient reservoirs,characterized by high porosity and medium to low permeability,as well as medium porosity and medium to low permeability,are the core of the formation of large-and medium-sized volcanic *** reservoir with high porosity and medium to low permeability is formed by intermediate-felsic vesicular lava or the cryptoexplosive breccia superimposed by intensive *** reservoir with medium porosity and medium to low permeability is formed by intense tectonism superimposed by fluid *** and tectonic transformation are main formation mechanisms for large and medium-sized volcanic reservoirs in the study *** low-source“source-reservoir draping type”is the optimum source-reservoir configuration relationship for large-and medium-sized volcanic *** exists favorable volcanic facies,efficient reservoirs and source-reservoir draping configuration relationship on the periphery of Bozhong Sag,and the large intermediate-felsic lava and intermediate-felsic composite volcanic edifices close to strike-slip faults and their branch faults are the main directions of future exploration.

Numerical analysis on the transport properties and residence time distribution of ribbon biomass particles in a riser reactor based on CFD-DEM approach

Precore mutation enhances viral replication to facilitate persistent infection especially in HBeAg-negative patients
