Green hydrogen from water splitting has emerged as a critical energy vector with the potential to spearhead the global transition to a fossil fuel-independent *** field of catalysis has been revolutionized by single-atom catalysts(SACs),which exhibit unique and intricate interactions between atomically dispersed metal atoms and their ***,bimetallic SACs(bimSACs)have garnered significant attention for leveraging the synergistic functions of two metal ions coordinated on appropriately designed *** offer an avenue for rich metal–metal and metal–support cooperativity,potentially addressing current limitations of SACs in effectively furnishing transformations which involve synchronous proton–electron exchanges,substrate activation with reversible redox cycles,simultaneous multi-electron transfer,regulation of spin states,tuning of electronic properties,and cyclic transition states with low activation *** review aims to encapsulate the growing advancements in bimSACs,with an emphasis on their pivotal role in hydrogen generation via water *** subsequently delve into advanced experimental methodologies for the elaborate characterization of SACs,elucidate their electronic properties,and discuss their local coordination ***,we present comprehensive discussion on the deployment of bimSACs in both hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction,the two half-reactions of the water electrolysis process.

Syntheses and Crystal Structures of Two New Ag(Ⅰ) Complexes with Betaine Derivative: Structure Changes via Metal-to-ligand Ratio

Two new Ag（I） complexes {Ag2（L）（NO3）（H2O）}n（1） and {Ag（L）}n·nH2O（2） have been synthesized via the reaction of silver nitrate and betaine derivative 1-carboxymethylpyridinium-3-carboxylate（L） by only changing the metal-to-ligand ratio. The results of X-ray crystallographic analysis indicate that complexes 1 and 2 both crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a = 5.0809（14）, b = 17.390（5）, c = 13.399（4）, β = 91.677（5）o, V = 1183.4（6）3, Z = 4, Mr = 475.90, Dc = 2.671 g/cm3, F（000） = 912, μ = 3.352 mm-1, S = 1.259, the final R = 0.0320 and wR = 0.0831 for 2036 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I） for 1 and a = 12.180（2）, b = 5.0283（10）, c = 14.396（3）, β = 94.87（3）o, V = 878.5（3）3, Z = 4, Mr = 306.02, Dc = 2.314 g/cm3, F（000） = 600, μ = 2.294 mm-1, S = 1.053, the final R = 0.0283 and wR = 0.0684 for 2011 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I） for 2. Complexes 1 and 2 both feature a unique 2D structure. For 1, the 2D undulated network consists of 1D infinite helical chains running parallel to the b axis, while for 2, the 2D network is made up of 1D tubes along the b axis. Moreover, the Ag…Ag interactions in complexes 1 and 2 are also discussed.

Sustainability Assessment and Ranking of Run of the River(RoR) Hydropower projects Using Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP):A Study from Western Himalayan Region of India

In the present scenario,tapping the unutilised hydropower potential is one of the highest priorities in developing countries of the *** emphasis is being imparted to run of the river(RoR)mode of power ***,the governments are now facing the dilemma whether to promote small hydropower projects(SHPs) or encourage large hydropower projects(LHPs).RoR large hydropower projects result into large scale cutting of mountains for constructing tunnels and access roads,generation of huge quantity of muck and large scale impact on flora and fauna due to diversion of rivers/*** the other hand,though SHPs are claimed to be greener and more sustainable by a section of researchers and energy planners but,they will be required to be set up in large number to generate equivalent amount of *** aim of this study is to rank the most sustainable installed capacity range of RoR hydropower *** achieve this aim,the study proposes the use of quite popular multi-criteria decision making(MCDM)method of Operation Research named Analytical Hierarchy Process.A case study has been presented from Himachal Pradesh,a hydro rich state located in the western Himalayan *** per sustainability assessment carried out in this study,hydropower projects in the capacity range 1 to 5 MW have been ranked to be the most sustainable.

Structure and Fluorescence Property of a 2D Macrometallacycle Supramolecular Network [Zn_2(2-mBIM)_2(SUC)_2]_n

A zinc（Ⅱ） coordination polymer [Zn2（2-mBIM）2（SUC）2]n （1, 2-mBIM = bis（2-methylimidazo-1-yl） methane, SUC = succinate anion） has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 9.4871（8）, b = 12.9789（5）, c = 14.0230（5）, α = 90.474（1）, β = 90.3560（10）, γ = 109.691（1）°, V = 1529.94（15）3 , Z = 2, Dc = 1.553 mg/m3 , μ = 1.63 mm-1 , F（000） = 736, the final R = 0.0645 and wR = 0.0951 for 4067 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. Each Zn atom was coordinated by two individual 2-mBIM ligands in a cis-conformation and two monodentate coordinated succinate anions in a gauche conformation, resulting in the formation of a two-dimensional supramolecular network containing a cationic 16-membered macrometallacycle and a 28-membered macrometallacycle. The result also indicates that the conformation of the ligands has a strong influence on the structure of the supramolecular network.

Porous Fe-Mn-O nanocomposites:Synthesis and supercapacitor electrode application

Transition metal oxide micro-/nanostructures demonstrate high potential applications in energy storage devices. Here, we report a facile synthesis of highly homogeneous oxide composites with porous structure via a coordination polymer precursor, which was prepared with the assistance of tartaric *** typical product, Fe-Mn-O composite was demonstrated here. The obtained Fe-Mn-O product was systemically characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, elemental mapping analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was demonstrated that the Fe-Mn-O nanocomposite shows interconnected porous structure, in which iron,manganese, and oxygen are uniformly distributed. In addition, the Fe-Mn-O nanocomposite was then fabricated as capacitor electrodes. Operating in an aqueous neutral solution, the Fe-Mn-O composite electrodes showed an wide working potential window from 0.2 to 1.0 V(vs. SCE), and a specific capacitance of 86.7 Fg-1or 0.4 Fcm-2at a constant current density of 1 Ag-1with good cycle life. This study offers a new precursor approach to prepare porous metal oxide composites, which would be applied in energy-storage/conversion devices, catalysts, sensors, and so on.

Eurasian Winter Cooling: Intercomparison of Reanalyses and CMIP5 Data Sets

A cooling trend in wintertime surface air temperature over continental Eurasia has been identified in reanalysis and the Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project phase 5(CMIP5)‘historical’simulations over the period 1989–*** the authors have shown that this cooling trend is related to changes in Arctic sea-ice around the Barents-Kara *** study illustrates a consistent spatial and temporal structure of the wintertime temperature variability centered over Asia using state-of-the-art reanalyses and global climate model *** findings indicate that there is a physical basis for seasonal predictions of near-surface temperatures over continental Asia based on changes to the ice-cover in the Barents-Kara seas.

A new hexanuclear silver（I） compound containing thiosemicarbazones with groups of 1-naphthalene was synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis and fluorescence spectrum. The title compound crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 16.101（4）, b = 24.855（7）, c = 14.492（4） A, β = 109.730（5）, V = 5459（3） A3, C90H102Ag6N2406S6, Mr= 2455.54, Dc= 1.494 g/cm3,μ（MoKa） = 1.228 mm^-1, F（000） = 2472, Z = 2, the final R = 0.0761 and wR = 0.1507 for 5258 observed reflections （I〉 2α（I））. In the structure, the S atom of ligand L serves as a triply bridged chelator to connect the six silver atoms into a Ag6L6 cluster. Luminescence investigation reveals that the compound exhibits two ligand-independent cluster-centered electron transfer bands and one ligand-dependent charge transfer band.

Synthesis,Structure and Physical Properties of Mn and Cd Complexes with 1,1,2,2-Tetracarboxyl-ethylene Acid

Complex [Mn（tce） 0.5（H2O） 4]（1） was obtained from Mn（OAc） 2 and tce,where tce is 1,1,2,2-tetracarboxyl-ethane. The structure of 1 is a single molecule,in which Mn（II） is a distorted octahedron coordinated to six oxygen atoms. Complex [Cd（tce） 0.5（H2O） 3]（H2O）（2） fea-tures a pillared layer architecture. The Cd（II） atom is in an octahedral environment coordinated by six oxygen donors from water molecules and tce ligands. Cd（II） atoms are interlinked by the tce ligand to generate a 2-D wavelike layer. The layers are strutted by the intermolecular O-H···O hydrogen bonds to form a 3-D open framework. Luminescence property of complex 2 was investigated. Magnetic property of complex 1 was also studied. 1 belongs to triclinic,space group P1 with a = 6.2901（12） ,b = 8.0212（15） ,c = 8.0769（15） A,α = 108.522（3） ,β = 95.068（3） ,γ = 97.086（3） °,V = 379.92（12）A^3,Mr = 456.08,Dc = 1.993 g/cm^3,F（000） = 232,μ = 1.748 mm^-1,Z = 1,the final R = 0.0297 and wR = 0.0731 for 1575 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I） . 2 is of monoclinic system,space group P21/c with a = 6.4367（14） ,b = 9.495（2） ,c = 13.907（3）A,β = 117.405（8） °,V = 754.6（3） A^3,Mr = 285.51,Dc = 2.513 g/cm^3,F（000） = 556,μ = 2.905 mm^-1,Z = 4,the final R = 0.0375 and wR = 0.0737 for 1521 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）.
