As a cornerstone of the national economy,the iron and steel industry generates a significant amount of sintering dust containing both valuable lead resources and deleterious *** is a promising technique for lead recovery from sintering dust,but efficient separation from Fe_(2)O_(3) is still *** study investigated the cooperative effect of sodium lauryl sulfate(SLS,C_(12)H_(25)SO_(4)Na)and sodium pyrophosphate(SPP,Na_(4)P_(2)O_(7))on the selective flotation of lead oxide minerals(PbOHCl and PbSO_(4))from hematite(Fe_(2)O_(3)).Optimal flotation conditions were first identified,resulting in high recovery of lead oxide minerals while inhibiting Fe_(2)O_(3) *** potential measurements,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)analysis,adsorption capacity analysis,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)studies offer insights into the adsorption behaviors of the reagents on mineral surfaces,revealing strong adsorption of SLS on PbOHCl and PbSO_(4) surfaces and remarkable adsorption of SPP on Fe_(2)O_(3).The proposed model of reagent adsorption on mineral surfaces illustrates the selective adsorption behavior,highlighting the pivotal role of reagent adsorption in the separation *** findings contribute to the efficient and environmentally friendly utilization of iron ore sintering dust for lead recovery,paving the way for sustainable resource management in the iron and steel industry.

Carbon neutralization has been introduced as a long-term policy to control global warming and climate *** plant photosynthesis produces the most abundant lignocellulosic biomass on Earth,its conversion to biofuels and bioproducts is considered a promising solution for reducing the net carbon ***,natural lignocellulose recalcitrance crucially results in a costly biomass process along with secondary waste *** updating recent advances in plant biotechnology,biomass engineering,and carbon nanotechnology,this study proposes a novel strategy that integrates the genetic engineering of bioenergy crops with green-like biomass processing for cost-effective biofuel conversion and high-value *** selecting key genes and appropriate genetic manipulation approaches for precise lignocellulose modification,this study highlights the desirable genetic site mutants and transgenic lines that are raised in amorphous regions and inner broken chains account for high-density/length-reduced cellulose nanofiber assembly in *** the amorphous regions and inner-broken chains of lignocellulose substrates are defined as the initial breakpoints for enhancing biochemical,chemical,and thermochemical conversions,desirable cellulose nanofibers can be employed to achieve nearcomplete biomass enzymatic saccharification for maximizing biofuels or high-quality biomaterials,even under cost-effective and green-like biomass processes in *** study emphasizes the optimal thermal conversion for generating high-performance nanocarbons by combining appropriate nanomaterials generated from diverse lignocellulose ***,this study provides a perspective on the potential of green carbon productivity as a part of the fourth industrial revolution.

Inter-comparisons of VOC oxidation mechanisms based on box model:A focus on OH reactivity

Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)oxidation processes play a very important role in atmospheric chemistry,and the chemical reactions are expressed in various manners in chemical *** gain an improved understanding of VOCs evolution during oxidation processes and evaluate the discrepancies of VOCs oxidation schemes among different mechanisms,we used the total VOC reactivity as a diagnostic and evaluated tool to explore the differences for six widely used chemical *** compared the total VOC reactivity evolution under high-NO_(x)xconditions for several sets of precursors,including n-pentane,toluene,ethene,isoprene and a mixture of 57 Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Stations(PAMS)species in a 0-D photochemical box ***-comparison of total VOC reactivity of individual precursor simulations showed discrepancies to different extent of the oxidation schemes among the studied mechanisms,which are mainly attributed to the different lumping approaches for organic *** PAMS simulation showed smaller discrepancy than individual precursor cases in terms of total VOC ***07 and RACM2 performances are found to better match the MCM for simulation of total VOC *** suggest that the performance in simulating secondary organic products,OH concentrations and NO_(x)concentrations are related to the OH reactivity discrepancies among various chemical *** in this study can be used in selection of chemical mechanisms to better model OH reactivity in different *** results in this study also provide directions to further improve the ability in modelling total VOC reactivity with the chemical mechanisms.

Mapping and Functional Analysis of LE Gene in a Lethal Etiolated Rice Mutant at Seedling Stage

An EMS(ethy methanesulfonate)-induced lethal etiolated(le)mutant obtained from the rice variety Zhongjian 100 was characterized by lethal etiolated phenotypes,with significantly reduced levels of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,total chlorophyll,and ***,the mutant displayed a significantly decreased number of chloroplast grana,along with irregular and less-stacked grana *** le mutant showed markedly diminished root length,root surface area,and root volume compared with the wild *** also exhibited significantly lower catalase activity and total protein content,while peroxidase activity was significantly *** the map-based cloning method,we successfully mapped the LE gene to a 48-kb interval between markers RM16107 and RM16110 on rice chromosome 3.A mutation(from T to C)was identified at nucleotide position 692 bp of LOC_Os03g59640(ChlD),resulting in a change from leucine to *** crossing HM133(a pale green mutant with a single-base substitution of A for G in exon 10 of ChlD subunit)with a heterozygous line of le(LEle),we obtained two plant lines heterozygous at both the LE and HM133 *** 15 transgenic plants,3 complementation lines displayed normal leaf color with significantly higher total chlorophyll,chlorophyll a,and chlorophyll b *** mutation in le led to a lethal etiolated phenotype,which has not been observed in other ChlD *** mutation in the AAA+domain of ChlD disrupted the interaction of ChlDle with ChlI as demonstrated by a yeast two-hybrid assay,leading to the loss of ChlD function and hindering chlorophyll synthesis and chloroplast ***,this disruption is responsible for the lethal etiolated phenotype in the mutant.

C_(Ar)-Br bond cleavage via cooperative EnT/NHC catalysis: mild access to indolines

The cooperative visible-light mediated and NHC-catalyzed dearomative arylation-acylation of N-(2-bromobenzoyl)indoles with aldehydes was developed, affording the corresponding highly functionalized polycyclic indolines in moderate to good yields with exclusive diastereoselectivities. Mechanism investigations support the activation of CAr-Br bond via visible-light mediated energy transfer(EnT) and the following single-electron-transfer(SET) with Breslow intermediate under NHC catalysis to give key aryl radical and ketyl radical. This protocol demonstrates the cleavage of CAr-Br bond under mild cooperative EnT/NHC catalysis.

Hydrodechlorination of trifluoro-trichloroethane to chlorotrifluoroethylene:Revealing the deactivation mechanism and regeneration strategy of Pd-Cu/AC catalyst

Chlorotrifluoroethylene(CTFE)is a vital fluorinated olefinic monomer produced through the catalytic hydrodechlorination of trichlorotrifluoroethane(CFC-113),an eco-friendly ***,hydrodechlorination catalysts for olefin production often suffer from poor *** Pd/AC catalyst and Pd-Cu/AC catalyst prepared by co-impregnation method exhibited poor stability,Pd-Cu/AC catalyst with CFC-113 conversion dropping to around 37%after 50 h of hydrodechlorination ***-Emmett-Teller,transmission electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and X-ray diffraction of fresh and deactivated Pd/AC catalysts indicate that the deactivation of Pd/AC catalysts is due to high-temperature agglomeration of *** analysis of fresh and deactivated Pd-Cu/AC catalysts using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller,transmission electron microscopy,and thermogravimetric analysis techniques revealed decreased dispersion of active sites,reduced surface area,catalyst aggregation deactivation,and a significant decrease in Cu ***,the results of NH3-TPD revealed that the acid sites of the catalyst increased significantly.X-ray diffraction spectra indicated the formation of new species,basic copper chloride(Cu_(2)(OH)_(3)Cl),during the *** the reaction progressed,these new species agglomerated,leading to a gradual loss of catalyst ***,the deactivated catalyst was successfully reactivated using a simple alkaline washing method.

Novel single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes with high toughness and high resistance against lithium dendrites

Solid-state polymer electrolytes are considered as an alternative to classic liquid electrolytes,particularly for application in highenergy lithium metal *** respect to common dual-ion conductors,single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes(SICPEs)are less affected by lithium dendrites growth and thus are particularly interesting for application in lithium metal *** this work,novel SIC-PEs are developed,based on an ionomer having poly(ethylene-alt-maleimide)backbone and lithium phenylsulfonyl(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide pendant moieties,further blended with poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)and poly(ethylene glycol)dimethyl ether(PEGDME).These SIC-PEs exhibit ionic conductivity around~7×10^(−6)S·cm^(−1) at 70℃,lithium transference number close to unity,and excellent mechanical properties,with fracture toughness over 30 J·cm^(−3).Additionally,the electrolytes show very high resistance against lithium dendrites growth,by cycling for more than 1200 h in Li°symmetric cells at a current density of 0.1 mA·cm^(−2).LiFePO4||Li°cells with these SIC-PEs were cycled at 70℃ and C/10,showing initial capacity of almost 160 mAh·g^(−1)and residual capacity of 45%after 100 *** work shows that single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes based on poly(ethylene-alt-maleimide)backbone are promising materials for application as electrolytes or catholytes in lithium metal polymer batteries.

Preparation and Properties of Spray Polyurea Elastomer for Aquaculture Foam Floating Balls

[Objectives] This study was conducted to develop a polyurea elastomer which can be sprayed on the surface of expanded polystyrene (EPS) floating balls, so as to improve the surface strength and service life of the floating balls. [Methods] The effects of the types and amounts of isocyanate, chain extenders and polyether polyols on the gelation rate, adhesion and wear resistance of polyurea elastomer were investigated, and it was finally determined the preparation process of polyurea elastomer using liquid isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and amino-terminated polyether (D2000) as the main raw materials, dimethylthiotoluene diamine (E300) as the chain extender and silica as the wear resistance modifier through two-step solution polymerization of prepolymerization and chain extension. [Results] The physical properties and chemical resistance tests of spray polyurea elastomer showed that it had good physical properties and acid and alkali resistance, and could meet the requirements of spraying and protection of EPS floating ball surface in marine environment. [Conclusions] Polyurea elastomer coating can improve the aging resistance, wear resistance and acid and alkali resistance of EPS floating balls, and prevent them from being fragile and floating randomly to form marine floating garbage which results in "white pollution".

Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 alpha(HNF1A),hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 alpha(HNF4A),and forkhead box protein A2(FOXA2) are key transcription factors that regulate a complex gene network in the liver,creating a regulatory transcriptional *** Encode and ChIP-Atlas databases identify the recognition sites of these transcription factors in many glycosyltransferase *** in silico analysis of HNF1A,HNF4A,and FOXA2 binding to the ten candidate glyco-genes studied in this work confirms a significant enrichment of these transcription factors specifically in the *** previous studies identified HNF1A as a master regulator of fucosylation,glycan branching,and galactosylation of plasma ***,we aimed to functionally validate the role of the three transcription factors on downstream glyco-gene transcriptional expression and the possible effect on glycan *** used the state-of-the-art clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/dead Cas9(CRISPR/dCas9) molecular tool for the downregulation of the HNF1A,HNF4A,and FOXA2 genes in HepG2 cells-a human liver cancer cell *** results show that the downregulation of all three genes individually and in pairs affects the transcriptional activity of many gly co-genes,although downregulation of glyco-genes was not always followed by an unambiguous change in the corresponding glycan *** effect is better seen as an overall change in the total HepG2 N-glycome,primarily due to the extension of biantenna ry *** propose an alternative way to evaluate the N-glycome composition via estimating the overall complexity of the glycome by quantifying the number of monomers in each glycan *** also propose a model showing feedback loops with the mutual activation of HNF1A-FOXA2 and HNF4A-FOXA2 affecting glyco-genes and protein glycosylation in HepG2 cells.
