The cooperative visible-light mediated and NHC-catalyzed dearomative arylation-acylation of N-(2-bromobenzoyl)indoles with aldehydes was developed, affording the corresponding highly functionalized polycyclic indolines in moderate to good yields with exclusive diastereoselectivities. Mechanism investigations support the activation of CAr-Br bond via visible-light mediated energy transfer(EnT) and the following single-electron-transfer(SET) with Breslow intermediate under NHC catalysis to give key aryl radical and ketyl radical. This protocol demonstrates the cleavage of CAr-Br bond under mild cooperative EnT/NHC catalysis.

Precipitous Arctic sea-ice decline and the corresponding increase in Arctic open-water areas in summer months give more space for sea-ice growth in the subsequent cold seasons. Compared to the decline of the entire Arctic multiyear sea ice,changes in newly formed sea ice indicate more thermodynamic and dynamic information on Arctic atmosphere–ocean–ice interaction and northern mid–high latitude atmospheric teleconnections. Here, we use a large multimodel ensemble from phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6) to investigate future changes in wintertime newly formed Arctic sea ice. The commonly used model-democracy approach that gives equal weight to each model essentially assumes that all models are independent and equally plausible, which contradicts with the fact that there are large interdependencies in the ensemble and discrepancies in models' performances in reproducing observations. Therefore, instead of using the arithmetic mean of well-performing models or all available models for projections like in previous studies, we employ a newly developed model weighting scheme that weights all models in the ensemble with consideration of their performance and independence to provide more reliable projections. Model democracy leads to evident bias and large intermodel spread in CMIP6 projections of newly formed Arctic sea ice. However, we show that both the bias and the intermodel spread can be effectively reduced by the weighting scheme. Projections from the weighted models indicate that wintertime newly formed Arctic sea ice is likely to increase dramatically until the middle of this century regardless of the emissions ***, it may decrease(or remain stable) if the Arctic warming crosses a threshold(or is extensively constrained).

Nitro-aromatic compounds(NACs)are among the major components of brown carbon(BrC)in the atmosphere,causing negative impacts on regional climate,air quality,and ecological *** to the extensive origins,it is still a challenge to figure out the contributions and originating regions for different sources of atmospheric ***,field observations on fine particulate NACs were conducted at a coastal rural area in Qingdao,China in the winter of 2018 and *** mean total concentrations of fine particulate nitro-aromatic compounds were 125.0±89.5 and 27.7±21.1 ng/m^(3)in the winter of 2018 and 2019,*** the measured eleven NACs,nitrophenols and nitrocatechols were the most abundant *** characteristics and correlation analysis showed that humidity and anthropogenic primary emissions had significant influences on the NAC *** this study,two tracing methods of the improved spatial concentration weighted trajectory(SCWT)model and the receptor model of positive matrix factorization(PMF)were combined to comprehensively understand the origins of NACs in fine particles at coastal *** major sources were identified,including coal combustion,biomass burning,vehicle exhaust,and secondary ***,coal combustion was responsible for about half of the observed nitro-aromatic compounds,followed by biomass burning(~30%).The results by SCWT demonstrated that the coal combustion dominated NACs mainly originated from the Shandong peninsula and the areas to the north and southwest,while those dominated by biomass burning primarily came from local Qingdao and the areas to the west.

In this paper,the recursive filtering problem is considered for stochastic systems over filter-and-forward successive relay(FFSR)*** FFSR is located between the sensor and the remote filter to forward the *** the successive relay,two cooperative relay nodes are adopted to forward the signals alternatively,thereby existing switching characteristics and inter-relay interferences(IRI).Since the filter-and-forward scheme is employed,the signal received by the relay is retransmitted after it passes through a linear *** objective of the paper is to concurrently design optimal recursive filters for FFSR and stochastic systems against switching characteristics and IRI of ***,a uniform measurement model is proposed by analyzing the transmission mechanism of ***,novel filter structures with switching parameters are constructed for both FFSR and stochastic *** the help of the inductive method,filtering error covariances are presented in the form of coupled difference ***,the desired filter gain matrices are further obtained by minimizing the trace of filtering error ***,the stability performance of the filtering algorithm is analyzed where the uniform bound is guaranteed on the filtering error ***,the effectiveness of the proposed filtering method over FFSR is verified by a three-order resistance-inductance-capacitance circuit system.

Estimation of evapotranspiration(ET_(a))change on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is essential to address the water requirement of billions of people surrounding the *** studies have shown that ET_(a)estimations on the TP have a very large *** this article,we discuss how to more accurately quantify ET_(a)amount and explain its change on the ***_(a)change on the TP can be quantified and explained based on an ensemble mean product from climate model simulations,reanalysis,as well as ground-based and satellite ***_(a)on the TP experienced a significant increasing trend of around 8.4±2.2 mm(10 a)^(-1)(mean±one standard deviation)during 1982–2018,approximately twice the rate of the global land ET_(a)(4.3±2.1 mm(10 a)^(-1)).Numerical attribution analysis revealed that a 53.8%TP area with the increased ET_(a)was caused by increased temperature and 23.1%part was due to soil moisture rising,because of the warming,melting cryosphere,and increased *** projected future increase in ET_(a)is expected to cause a continued acceleration of the water cycle until 2100.

Previous studies through targeted mutagenesis of K-D-K-E motif have demonstrated that 2′-O-MTase activity is essential for efficient viral replication and immune ***,the K-D-K-E catalytic motif of 2′-O-MTase is highly conserved across numerous viruses,including flaviviruses,vaccinia viruses,coronaviruses,and extends even to ***,we observed a stronger 2′-O-MTase activity in SARS-CoV-2 compared to SARS-CoV,despite the presence of a consistently active catalytic *** further identified critical residues(Leu-36,Asn-138 and Ile-153)which served as determinants of discrepancy in 2′-O-MTase activity between SARS-CoV-2 and *** residues significantly enhanced the RNA binding affinity of 2′-O-MTase and boosted its versatility toward RNA *** interest,a triple substitution(Leu^(36)→Ile^(36),Asn^(138)→His^(138),Ile^(153)→Leu^(153),from SARS-CoV-2 to SARS-CoV)within nsp16 resulted in a proportional reduction in viral 2′-O-methylation and impaired viral ***,it led to a significant upregulation of type I interferon(IFN-I)and proinflammatory cytokines both in vitro and vivo,relying on the cooperative sensing of melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5(MDA5)and laboratory of genetics and physiology 2(LGP2).In conclusion,our findings demonstrated that alterations in residues other than K-D-K-E of 2′-O-MTase may affect viral replication and subsequently influence *** changes in nsp16 residues is crucial as it may aid in identifying and assessing future alteration in viral pathogenicity resulting from natural mutations occurring in nsp16.

cooperative utilization of multidimensional resources including cache, power and spectrum in satellite-terrestrial integrated networks(STINs) can provide a feasible approach for massive streaming media content delivery over the seamless global coverage area. However, the on-board supportable resources of a single satellite are extremely limited and lack of interaction with others. In this paper, we design a network model with two-layered cache deployment, i.e., satellite layer and ground base station layer, and two types of sharing links, i.e., terrestrial-satellite sharing(TSS) links and inter-satellite sharing(ISS) links, to enhance the capability of cooperative delivery over STINs. Thus, we use rateless codes for the content divided-packet transmission, and derive the total energy efficiency(EE) in the whole transmission procedure, which is defined as the ratio of traffic offloading and energy consumption. We formulate two optimization problems about maximizing EE in different sharing scenarios(only TSS and TSS-ISS),and propose two optimized algorithms to obtain the optimal content placement matrixes, *** results demonstrate that, enabling sharing links with optimized cache placement have more than 2 times improvement of EE performance than other traditional placement schemes. Particularly, TSS-ISS schemes have the higher EE performance than only TSS schemes under the conditions of enough number of satellites and smaller inter-satellite distances.
