Sustainability,beauty,and power are notions that hit our contemporary perception every ***,they have been an integral part of architecture and urban planning in various forms since the *** paper presents their fundamental descriptions,followed by an assessment of their mutual relations and impact on architecture through a triangular architectural relation model developed by the authors of the *** the theoretical thought experiment,it highlights eight boundary models along with their main characteristics,in particular,the implosion,explosion,shared-control,utilitarian,no-control,supremacy,inside-forced,and outside-forced architectural related *** models can help predict future events,explain past events,make decisions,and plan strategies,or reveal problems and propose new *** applications include determination of the causes of certain results or finding out the responsibility and mechanisms that led to *** authors are of the opinion that the mutual denominator of sustainability,beauty,and power represents ethics that should be forced in architectural education and practice.

This review paper explores approaches to sustaining the enduring connection between communities and heritage places in conservation *** global overtourism,the gradual outmigration and sudden displacement of local communities from heritage places disrupt not only physical ties between people and places but also shared traditions,memories and emotional *** intangible qualities constitute the social dimension of heritage and are pivotal to its cultural ***,existing conservation approaches to safeguarding this social dimension often rely on the continued presence of local communities,which may yield limited effectiveness in restoring people–place bonds amidst challenges posed by overtourism and *** review unpacks the term‘social value’within the framework of value-based assessment and progresses towards a dynamic conception of‘sense of place’.In response to the changing social composition of‘local communities’at heritage places,this review examines approaches for conserving the social dimension of heritage,aiming to sustain the enduring continuity of people–place *** proposes a broader definition of‘sense of place’that transcends the preconceived notion of stakeholder groups as a geographically defined community and suggests leveraging digital social platforms to re-establish these *** review concludes by advocating for the‘glocal community’approach,acknowledging the personal emotional connections that individuals form with a heritage place regardless of their places of *** approach has the potential to complement existing methods,such as value-based assessment and the living heritage approach,which are commonly practised in contemporary conservation efforts.

Ceramic relief mural is a contemporary landscape art that is carefully designed based on human nature,culture,and architectural wall space,combined with social customs,visual sensibility,and *** may also become the main axis of ceramic art in the *** public ceramic relief murals(PCRM)are most distinctive with the PCRM pioneered by Pan-Hsiung Chu of Meinong Kiln in *** addition to breaking through the limitations of traditional public ceramic murals,Chu leveraged local culture and *** theme of art gives PCRM its unique style and innovative value throughout the Taiwan *** study mainly analyzes and understands the design image of public ceramic murals,taking Taiwan PCRM’s design and creation as the scope,and applies STEEP analysis,that is,the social,technological,economic,ecological,and political-legal environments are analyzed as core factors;eight main important factors in the artistic design image of ceramic murals are ***,interpretive structural modeling(ISM)is used to establish five levels,analyze the four main problems in the main core factor area and the four main target results in the affected factor area;and analyze the problem points and target points as well as their causal *** is expected to sort out the relationship between these factors,obtain the hierarchical relationship of each factor,and provide a reference basis and research methods.

Developing the new quality productive forces is an inherent requirement and an important focus for promoting high-quality development. However, it is not enough to understand the whole picture merely from a domestic perspective. The concept of new quality productive forces was put forward due to the changes in the international environment, including the emergence of anti-globalization trends and the economic policies of some major economies that are less open than before. With the changes in the global economic concept, China's economic development needs its innovative theory. As the world's second-largest economy, China is committed to the development of new quality productive forces and will make significant contributions to global development. In theory, it shows direction for the development of new quality productive forces on a global scale. In practice, it provides experiences for other economies to develop new quality productive forces. It also helps address the common challenges facing global development. The competition between major countries in traditional fields will continue, but in the case of the development of new quality productive forces, it will show some new characteristics. It will be more reflected in the field of strategic emerging industries, the confrontation risk in major country rivalry will be reduced, and strategic planning and design will become more important.

Classical Chinese characters,presented through calligraphy,seal engraving,or painting,can exhibit different aesthetics and essences of Chinese characters,making them the most important asset of the Chinese *** and seal engraving,as two closely related systems in traditional Chinese art,have developed through the *** to changes in lifestyle and advancements in modern technology,their original functions of daily writing and verification have gradually ***,they have increasingly played a significant role in commercial *** study utilizes the Evaluation Grid Method(EGM)and the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to research the key preference factors in the application of calligraphy and seal engraving *** from the traditional 5-point equal interval semantic questionnaire,this study employs a non-equal interval semantic questionnaire with a golden ratio scale,distinguishing the importance ratio of adjacent semantic meanings and highlighting the weighted emphasis on visual ***,the study uses Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA)and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)to obtain the key preference sequence of calligraphy and seal engraving ***,the Choquet integral comprehensive evaluation is used as a reference for IPA *** is hoped that this study can provide cultural imagery references and research methods,injecting further creativity into industrial design.

Historical sites(HSs)are akin to living entities,and their existence is perpetuated through the erection of new buildings or *** HSs need sustainable development and new construction,as existing monuments fail to meet contemporary user *** the urgent demand,many new buildings within HSs have been constructed without considering the influencing factors on contextual value,built,and natural *** oversight has led to irreversible damage to their historical *** studies have independently explored interventions,construction,and development within ***,there is a conspicuous absence of comprehensive research that concurrently addresses these issues while preserving the intrinsic value of the *** study aims to identify the variables and factors contributing to the successful design and construction of new buildings within HSs,satisfying user needs,conserving contextual values,and achieving sustainability with the natural and built *** research employs a mixed-method approach,gathering raw data through literature reviews,case studies,and expert *** study population comprised 97 experts in architectural heritage conservation and sustainable *** factor analysis was utilized for data analysis,leading to the identification of influential *** study highlights the significance of the location,function,scale,form,material,skyline,viewpoint,accessibility,reversibility,topography,sustainability,technology,structural system,lifespan,and interior design in constructing new buildings within a ***,the design of new additions should adhere to five guiding principles:integrated design,volume design,green design,compatible design,and modern *** this context,the new structures will fulfill user needs,preserve or enhance contextual values,and harmonize with the built and natural environment.

Milling of the thin-walled workpiece in the aerospace industry is a critical process due to the high flexibility of the workpiece. In this paper, a flexible fixture based on the magnetorheological (MR) fluids is designed to investigate the regenerative chatter suppression during the machining. Based on the analysis of typical structural components in the aerospace industry, a general complex thin-walled workpiece with fixture and damping constraint can be equivalent as a rectangular cantilever beam. On the basis of the equivalent models, natural frequency and mode shape function of the thin-walled workpiece is obtained according to the Euler-Bernoulli beam assumptions. Then, the displacement response function of the bending vibration of the beam is represented by the product of all the mode shape function and the generalized coordinate. Furthermore, a dynamic equation of the workpiece-fixture system considering the external damping factor is proposed using the Lagrangian method in terms of all the mode shape function and the generalized coordinate, and the response of system under the dynamic cutting force is calculated to evaluate the stability of the milling process under damping control. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach are validated by the impact hammer experiments and several machining tests.
