The relationship between oxidative degradation and ammonia emission of carbon capture amines based on their chemical structures

This work investigates the effect of chemical structural positioning of different functional groups in 29 amines covering primary,secondary and tertiary alkanolamines as well as multi-alkylamines and cyclic amines on both amine degradation and ammonia(NH_(3))emissions during post-combustion amine-based carbon dioxide *** results helped to elucidate possible relation-ships between degradation and emissions as related to the chemical structure of the *** results showed that longer alkyl chain lengths in multi-alkylamines caused a more drastic decrease in both degradation and NH_(3) emissions followed by secondary *** decrease in those activities for primary and tertiary alkanolamines as well as cyclic amines was low and more so for NH_(3) *** contrast,the increase in hydroxyl groups in secondary alkanolamines caused a drastic increase in degrad-ation and NH_(3) *** the other hand,having more hydroxyl groups in sterically hindered primary and tertiary alkanolamines caused a more drastic decrease in degradation and a smaller decrease in NH_(3) emissions due to the steric hindrance within their *** increase in the number of amino groups in an amine caused an increase in both degradation and NH_(3) emission rates because these provided the reactive sites for the formation of free *** effect was not as large in alkyl-cyclic amines as in multi-alkylamines due to the ability of the former to resist oxidative ***,branched alkyl groups between amino and hydroxyl groups more drastically increased both the degradation and NH_(3) emission activities than branched alkyl groups located at the nitrogen atom.

Wind power prediction interval(WPPI)models in the literature have predominantly been developed for and tested on specific case ***,wind behavior and characteristics can vary significantly across ***,a prediction model that performs well in one case might underperform in *** address this shortcoming,this paper proposes an ensemble WPPI framework that integrates multiple WPPI models with distinct characteristics to improve *** important and often overlooked factor is the role of probabilistic wind power prediction(WPP)in quantifying wind power uncertainty,which should be handled by operating *** reserve in WPPI frameworks enhances the efficacy of *** this regard,the proposed framework employs a novel bi-layer optimization approach that takes both WPPI quality and reserve requirements into *** analysis with different real-world datasets and various benchmark models validates the quality of the obtained WPPIs while resulting in more optimal reserve requirements.

Hierarchical Control strategy for Load Regulation Based on stackelberg Game Theory Considering Randomness

Demand response has been recognized as a valuable functionality of power systems for mitigating power *** paper proposes a hierarchical control strategy among the distribution system operator(DsO),load aggregators(LAs),and thermostatically controlled loads(TCLs);the strategy includes a scheduling layer and an executive layer to provide load *** the scheduling layer,the DsO(leader)offers compensation price(CP)strategies,and the LAs(followers)respond to CP strategies with available regulation power(ARP)*** of the DsO and LAs are modeled according to their behaviors during the load regulation *** game is adopted to capture interactions among the players and leader and to obtain the optimal strategy for each participant to achieve ***,considering inevitable random factors in practice,e.g.,renewable generation and behavior of users,two different stochastic models based on sample average approximation(sAA)and parameter modification are formulated with improved scheduling *** the executive layer,distributed TCLs are triggered based on strategies determined in the scheduling layer.A self-triggering method that does not violate user privacy is presented,where TCLs receive external signals from the LA and independently determine whether to alter their operation *** simulations are performed on the modified IEEE-24 bus system to verify effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

Predicting the performance of steam assisted gravity drainage (sAGD) method utilizing artificial neural network (ANN)

As the price of oil decreases,it is becoming increasingly important for oil companies to operate in the most costeffective *** problem is especially apparent in Western canada,where most oil production is dependent on costly enhanced oil recovery(EOR)techniques such as steam-assisted gravity drainage(sAGD).Therefore,the goal of this study is to create an artificial neural network(ANN)that is capable of accurately predicting the ultimate recovery factor of oil reservoirs by steam-assisted gravity drainage(sAGD).The developed ANN model featured over 250 unique entries for oil viscosity,steam injection rate,horizontal permeability,permeability ratio,porosity,reservoir thickness,and steam injection pressure collected from *** collected data set was entered through a feed-forward back-propagation neural network to train,validate,and test the model to predict the recovery factor of sAGD method as accurate as *** from this study revealed that the neural network was able to accurately predict recovery factors of selected projects with less than 10%*** the neural network was exposed to a new simulation data set of 64 points,the predictions were found to have an accuracy of 82%as measured by linear ***,the feasibility of ANN to predict the recovery performance of one of the most complicated enhanced heavy oil recovery techniques with reasonable accuracy was confirmed.

Three-way decision(T-WD)theory is about thinking,problem solving,and computing in *** decision making(BDM)focuses on effective,cognitive,and social processes employed by humans for choosing the optimal object,of which prospect theory and regret theory are two widely used *** hesitant fuzzy set(HFs)captures a series of uncertainties when it is difficult to specify precise fuzzy membership *** by the principles of three-way decisions as thinking in threes and integrating these three topics together,this paper reviews and examines advances in three-way behavioral decision making(TW-BDM)with hesitant fuzzy information systems(HFIs)from the perspective of the past,present,and ***,we provide a brief historical account of the three topics and present basic ***,we summarize the latest development trends and examine a number of basic issues,such as one-sidedness of reference points and subjective randomness for result values,and then report the results of a comparative analysis of existing ***,we point out key challenges and future research directions.

Introduction The application of large language models such as generative pre-trained transformers(GPTs)has been promising in medical education,and its performance has been tested for different medical *** study aims to assess the performance of GPTs in responding to a set of sample questions of short-answer management problems(sAMPs)from the certification exam of the College of Family Physicians of canada(CFPC).Method Between August 8th and 25th,2023,we used GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 in five rounds to answer a sample of 77 sAMPs questions from the CFPC *** independent certified family physician reviewers scored AI-generated responses twice:first,according to the CFPC answer key(ie,CFPC score),and second,based on their knowledge and other references(ie,Reviews’score).An ordinal logistic generalised estimating equations(GEE)model was applied to analyse repeated measures across the five *** According to the CFPC answer key,607(73.6%)lines of answers by GPT-3.5 and 691(81%)by GPT-4 were deemed ***’s scoring suggested that about 84%of the lines of answers provided by GPT-3.5 and 93%of GPT-4 were *** GEE analysis confirmed that over five rounds,the likelihood of achieving a higher CFPC score Percentage for GPT-4 was 2.31 times more than GPT-3.5(OR:2.31;95%CI:1.53 to 3.47;psimilarly,the Reviewers’score percentage for responses provided by GPT-4 over 5 rounds were 2.23 times more likely to exceed those of GPT-3.5(OR:2.23;95%CI:1.22 to 4.06;p=0.009).Running the GPTs after a one week interval,regeneration of the prompt or using or not using the prompt did not significantly change the CFPC score *** In our study,we used GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 to answer complex,open-ended sample questions of the CFPC exam and showed that more than 70%of the answers were accurate,and GPT-4 outperformed GPT-3.5 in responding to the *** language models such as GPTs seem promising for assisting candidates of the CFPC exam by pr

The remobilization,migration,precipitation,and enrichment of ore-forming elements are closely related to ***,detailed regional and ore-field structural analyses are critical for determining the genesis of a mineral *** Jiangnan Orogenic Belt(JOB)is an important gold polymetallic metallogenic belt in south China,which is characterized by multiple periods of gold mineralization in the Paleozoic and ***,the genesis of these gold polymetallic deposits is still not well understood due to a lack of systematic research on the regional geology,ore-controlling structures and metallogenic *** this study,a detailed structural survey at the surface and in the subsurface tunnels was conducted on the Woxi Au-sb-W deposit,the genesis of which is relatively controversial among the gold polymetallic deposits in the JOB due to poor structural *** addition,a wolframite U-Pb dating was carried out to further constrain the relationship between structures and *** on the results of these studies,together with those from previous studies,it is proposed that the Woxi deposit and surrounding areas likely underwent six periods of regional deformation,which are constrained in time and geodynamic ***,we present a systematic discussion on the roles of ore-controlling structures in the transportation,distribution,and deposition of ore-forming elements and localization of *** to the wolframite dating results,structural analyses,and previous data,we propose that the Woxi Au-sb-W deposit was formed in two stages during the Yanshanian:a W(wolframite)-Au mineralization stage at ca.140 Ma and an Au-sb-W(scheelite)mineralization stage ats are interpreted to have a tight relationship with tectonic reactivation,and the ore-forming fluids were derived from deep sources,including those of magmatic or metamorphic *** Woxi deposit can therefore be classified as an“
