A Multi-Condition Sequential network Ensemble for Industrial Energy Storage Prediction Considering the Condition Switching Characteristics

As a crucial storage and buffering apparatus for balancing the production and consumption of byproduct gases in industrial processes, accurate prediction of gas tank levels is essential for optimizing energy system scheduling. Considering that the continuous switching of the pressure and valve status(mechanism knowledge) would bring about multiple working conditions of the equipment, a multi-condition time sequential network ensembled method is proposed. In order to especially consider the time dependence of different conditions, a centralwise condition sequential network is developed, where the network branches are specially designed based on the condition switching sequences. A branch combination transfer learning strategy is developed to tackle the sample imbalance problem of different condition data. Since the condition or status data are real-time information that cannot be recognized during the prediction process, a pre-trained and ensemble learning approach is further proposed to fuse the outputs of the multi-condition networks and realize a transient-state involved prediction. The performance of the proposed method is validated on practical energy data coming from a domestic steel plant, comparing with the state-of-the-art algorithms. The results show that the proposed method can maintain a high prediction accuracy under different condition switching cases, which would provide effective guidance for the optimal scheduling of the industrial energy systems.

Underwater target detection is extensively applied in domains such as underwater search and rescue,environmental monitoring,and marine resource *** is crucial in enabling autonomous underwater robot operations and promoting ocean ***,low imaging quality,harsh underwater environments,and obscured objects considerably increase the difficulty of detecting underwater targets,making it difficult for current detection methods to achieve optimal *** order to enhance underwater object perception and improve target detection precision,we propose a lightweight underwater target detection method using You Only Look Once(YOLO)v8 with multi-scale cross-channel attention(MSCCA),named *** the proposed multiscale cross-channel attention module,multi-scale attention(MSA)augments the variety of attentional perception by extracting information from innately diverse sensory *** cross-channel strategy utilizes RepVGGbased channel shuffling(RCS)and one-shot aggregation(OSA)to rearrange feature map channels according to specific *** aggregates all features only once in the final feature mapping,resulting in the extraction of more comprehensive and valuable feature *** experimental results show that the proposed YOLOv8-UOD achieves a mAP50 of 95.67%and FLOPs of 23.8 G on the Underwater Robot Picking Contest 2017(URPC2017)dataset,outperforming other methods in terms of detection precision and computational cost-efficiency.

This paper investigates the resource allocation for rate-splitting multiple access(RSMA)enabled multibeam satellite communication ***,we minimize the total unmet user rate,which denotes the difference between the users’rate requirement and the practical achievable rate,as well as the total transmit power of the satellite by optimizing the precoding,power allocation,and rate allocation,under the per-feed power and rate *** solve the non-convex optimization problem,a twostage scheme is *** particular,in the first stage,we present a precoding scheme by maximizing the signal-to-leakage-plus-noise ratio of each beam to eliminate the inter-beam *** the second stage,we introduce auxiliary variables to obtain an upper bound on the objective function under the given precoding matrix and transform the rate constraints of the original problem into second-order cones(SOC)and linear matrix inequations(LMI).Then,the successive convex approximation(SCA)technique is used to obtain suboptimal power and rate allocation ***,the initial feasible solution for power allocation is provided by using the standard interior point ***,numerical results verify the superiority of our proposed solution compared to the benchmark methods in terms of objective function values.

Steel Surface Defect Recognition in Smart Manufacturing Using Deep Ensemble Transfer Learning-Based Techniques

Smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 are transforming traditional manufacturing processes by utilizing innovative technologies such as the artificial intelligence(AI)and internet of things(IoT)to enhance efficiency,reduce costs,and ensure product *** light of the recent advancement of Industry 4.0,identifying defects has become important for ensuring the quality of products during the manufacturing *** this research,we present an ensemble methodology for accurately classifying hot rolled steel surface defects by combining the strengths of four pre-trained convolutional neural network(CNN)architectures:VGG16,VGG19,Xception,and Mobile-Net V2,compensating for their individual *** evaluated our methodology on the Xsteel surface defect dataset(XSDD),which comprises seven different *** ensemble methodology integrated the predictions of individual models through two methods:model averaging and weighted *** evaluation showed that the model averaging ensemble achieved an accuracy of 98.89%,a recall of 98.92%,a precision of 99.05%,and an F1-score of 98.97%,while the weighted averaging ensemble reached an accuracy of 99.72%,a recall of 99.74%,a precision of 99.67%,and an F1-score of 99.70%.The proposed weighted averaging ensemble model outperformed the model averaging method and the individual models in detecting defects in terms of accuracy,recall,precision,and *** analysis with recent studies also showed the superior performance of our methodology.

This paper presents a design method to implement an antenna array characterized by ultra-wide beam coverage,low profile,and low Sidelobe Level(SLL)for the application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)air-to-ground *** array consists of ten broadside-radiating,ultrawide-beamwidth elements that are cascaded by a central-symmetry series-fed network with tapered currents following Dolph-Chebyshev distribution to provide low ***,an innovative design of end-fire Huygens source antenna that is compatible with metal ground is presented.A low-profile,half-mode Microstrip Patch Antenna(MPA)is utilized to serve as the magnetic dipole and a monopole is utilized to serves as the electric dipole,constructing the compact,end-fire,grounded Huygens source ***,two opposite-oriented end-fire Huygens source antennas are seamlessly integrated into a single antenna element in the form of monopole-loaded MPA to accomplish the ultrawide,broadside-radiating *** consideration has been applied into the design of series-fed network as well as antenna element to compensate the adverse coupling effects between elements on the radiation *** indicates an ultrawide Half-Power Beamwidth(HPBW)of 161°and a low SLL of-25 dB with a high gain of 12 d Bi under a single-layer *** concurrent ultrawide beamwidth and low SLL make it particularly attractive for applications of UAV air-to-ground communication.
