The cytochrome P450 proteins(CYP450s)have been implicated in catalyzing numerous important biological reactions and contribute to a variety of ***26A1,a member of the CYP450 family,carries out the oxidative metabolism of retinoic acid(RA),the active metabolite of vitamin *** we report that CYP26A1 was dramatically upregulated in the spinal cord after spinal nerve ligation(SNL).CYP26A1 was mainly expressed in spinal neurons and *** analysis displayed that the content of all-trans-RA(at-RA),the substrate of CYP26A1,was reduced in the spinal cord on day 7 after *** of CYP26A1 by siRNA or inhibition of CYP26A1-mediated at-RA catabolism by talarozole relieved the SNL-induced mechanical allodynia during the maintenance phase of neuropathic *** also reduced SNL-induced glial activation and proinflammatory cytokine production but increased anti-inflammatory cytokine(IL-10)*** RA receptors RARα,RXRβ,and RXRγwere expressed in spinal neurons and glial *** promoter of Il-10 has several binding sites for RA receptors,and at-RA directly increased Il-10 mRNA expression in ***,intrathecal IL-10 attenuated SNL-induced neuropathic pain and reduced the activation of astrocytes and ***,the inhibition of CYP26A1-mediated at-RA catabolism alleviates SNL-induced neuropathic pain by promoting the expression of IL-10 and suppressing glial ***26A1 may be a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of neuropathic pain.

Background: Complex Regional pain Syndrome (CRPS), previously known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy and causalgia, is a neuropathic pain condition that usually develops after an injury to an extremity. CRPS can be a debilitating condition with high levels of pain and reduced function. Aim: This case report aims to discuss the multimodal approach in the management of a patient who presented with ongoing poorly controlled pain secondary to CRPS from an injury that happened years prior. Case Presentation: A 45-year-old female was involved in a motor vehicle accident where her right leg was injured. She underwent several surgeries and developed CRPS that significantly reduced her mobility and quality of life. She presented to the pain clinic years after her initial injury and a multimodal regimen was started for her resulting in significantly improved function. Conclusion: CRPS can be a severely debilitating condition. While early diagnosis and management are important, ongoing management in the outpatient chronic pain setting is important in maintaining a good level of function.

The concentration of PM_(2.5)has considerably reduced in recent years,but remains relatively high in *** particular,the increasing contribution of organic compounds to PM_(2.5)generates popular pressure for further reductions,resulting in an urgent need to study organic aerosol(OA).To investigate the molecular composition and source contribution of OA in the rural area of the Guanzhong Plain,Northwest China,PM_(2.5)samples were collected during 3–23 August 2016 and 5–20 January 2017 and studied for more than 100 organic tracer *** mean concentration of total measured organic compounds is 662±296 ng/m^(3)in summer and 3258±1925 ng/m^(3)in *** is the most abundant single compound found throughout the sampling period,which is a crucial tracer for biomass burning emissions,preliminary suggesting that biomass burning is an essential source of *** summer,organic compounds such as lipid compounds,sugar compounds,and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),more come from higher plants,wood burning,vehicle exhausts,plastic waste,and other direct emission *** PAHs(OPAHs),nitrophenols,and phthalic acids more come from the atmosphere through the oxidation reaction of aromatic precursors,especially photochemical ***,in winter,most of the increases in concentrations of organic compounds are attributed to biomass *** analysis of a haze event(14–19 January 2017)during the winter sampling period shows that the increases in the concentration of organic compounds are unaccompanied by strong secondary formation under lower relative humidity(49.1%±13.5%).The main reason for the growth of OA in this haze event is the accumulation of primary OA(POA).The source apportionment by the positive matrix factorization(PMF)model shows that biomass burning(37.1%)is the primary source of OA in the rural regions of the Guanzhong Plain,especially in winter(40.6%).The contribution of secondary formation decreases from 26.0%in summer t

To enhance the fire safety and wear resistance of epoxy,phosphorus-containing nickel phyllosilicate whiskers(FP-NiPS)were synthesized using a facile hydrothermal technology,with 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene as the organic *** impacts of FP-NiPS on the thermal stability,flame retardancy,and mechanical and tribological properties of EP composites were *** findings demonstrated that 5 wt%FP-NiPS elevated the limiting oxygen index of the EP composite from 23.8%to 28.4%,achieving a V-0 rating during vertical burning ***-NiPS could enhance the thermal stability of epoxy resin(EP)and facilitate the development of a dense and continuous carbon layer,thereby significantly improving the fire safety of the EP *** FP-NiPS led to an 8.2%increase in the tensile strength and a 38.8%increase in the elastic modulus of the EP composite,showing outstanding mechanical ***,FP-NiPS showed remarkable potential in enhancing the wear resistance of *** wear rate of 1 wt%FP-NiPS is 2.34×10^(−5) mm^(3)·N^(−1)·m^(−1),a decrease of 66.7%compared to *** work provides a novel promising modification method to enhance the fire safety,mechanical and wear resistance properties of EP.

OBJECTIVE: To establish a standardized framework encompassing the precise locations, manipulations,functions and indications of specific acupoints in the field of paediatric Tuina. METHODS: The development of consensus involved three distinct stages. Initially, a list of paediatric Tuina specific acupoints was compiled based on an extensive literature review, which was subsequently supplemented through expert interviews. In the second stage, the Delphi method was employed to assess the significance of acupoint locations, manipulations, functions, and indications. In situations where the questionnaire survey failed to yield agreement or when the experts held reservations, the nominal group approach was utilized during the expert consensus meeting. The final version of the technical standardized material was ultimately determined during an expert consensus conference. After undergoing external peer review and evaluation, the completed draft was prepared for public dissemination RESULTS: The comprehensive list identified a total of 66 specific acupoints. The location and manipulation questionnaire consisted of 156 items based on the literature database, while the function and indication questionnaire contained 116 items. Two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted for the location and manipulation category, and another two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted for the function and indication category. During the experts consensus meeting The panel of experts conducted in-depth discussions on 61 questions, resulting in the formulation of technical guidelines for the locations, manipulations, functions, and indications of 64 paediatric Tuina acupoints. Subsequently, the research team compiled and edited the draft of the technical guidelines for acupoints of paediatric Tuina, which was finalized after external review and feedback. Background: Deep gluteal syndrome is a common cause of posterior hip pain. It results from peripheral nerves, such as the sciatic or superior gluteal nerve, being compressed in the deep gluteal space. Hydrodissection is a novel technique for the treatment of nerve pain due to entrapment. The use of hydrodissection for the treatment of deep gluteal syndrome has not been reported. Methods: A case report involved a 42-year-old female presenting with deep gluteal syndrome. Case report: We report, with patient consent, an ultrasound-guided superior gluteal nerve hydrodissection method used for treating the deep gluteal syndrome. A previously healthy 42-year-old female patient sought medical attention due to persistent left gluteal pain. Trials of joint injections, physiotherapy, and epidural blocks were unsuccessful. Hydrodissection under ultrasound-guidance allowed separation of the fascial plane in areas with significant neural innervation. We targeted the superior gluteal nerve with hydrodissection offering the patient immediate and persistent relief from her symptoms. Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided hydrodissection of the superior gluteal nerve offers an effective and novel diagnostic and treatment option for deep gluteal syndrome.
