Introduction:Hepatitis B is a major public health threat in *** subtyping of acute hepatitis B(AHB)has been reported to China’s National Notifiable disease Reporting System(NNDRS)since *** divided the years since NNDRS reporting started into three stages:a“primary stage”(2005−2008),a“catch-up stage”(2009−2012),and an“AHB surveillance pilot stage”(2013−2019).We evaluated characteristics of AHB and progress towards AHB control in these three ***:We obtained data on cases reported to NNDRS between January 1,2005 and December 31,2019 and compared the annual incidence of reported AHB in each of the three stages by region,age,and ***:The incidence of reported AHB declined from 7.52 per 100,000 in 2005 to 3.21 per 100,000 in 2019—a decrease of 57.31%.The annual incidences of AHB in the primary stage,the catch-up stage,and the AHB surveillance pilot stage were 7.45 per 100,000,5.78 per 100,000,and 4.26 per 100,000,respectively;7 provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)had an annual incidence of more than 10 per 100,000 in the primary stage,5 PLADs in the catch-up stage,and 1 in the AHB surveillance pilot *** group aged 20−29 years old had the highest annual rate of reported AHB in the primary stage(14.35 per 100,000)and in the catch-up stage(10.42 per 100,000),and the group aged 30−39 years old had the highest annual rate in the surveillance pilot stage(5.89 per 100,000).AHB affected males and females in all age *** and Implications for Public Health Practice:The incidence of AHB had decreased significantly since the start of the NNDRS reporting in 2005,but additional action is needed to eliminate AHB in *** B vaccine(HepB)coverage in adults should be increased to reduce new AHB cases among people over 20 years old,epidemiological investigations of AHB cases should be conducted to identify risk factors for infection,and prevention of mother-to-child transmission needs to be strengthened.

AIM To measure the willingness to pay for colorectal cancer screening in Guangzhou, and to identify those factors associated with it. METHODS A face-to-face questionnaire survey for pre-screening population from free and non-free colonoscopy districts was used to collect information on demographic characteristics, health behaviours, the intention of the cancer screenings and willingness to pay for colorectal cancer screening. A total of 1243 participants who took part in the pre-screening for colorectal cancer in Guangzhou were collected in the study. Categorical data were compared using the χ~2 test to analyse significant differences. Non-conditional logistic regression and multi-class logistic regression were also performed for multivariate analysis and to estimate the odds *** The percentage of participants willing to pay for colorectal cancer screening was 91.7%. "Unnecessary" was the dominant reason that participants gave for their unwillingness, accounting for 63.1%. Of those who were willing to pay, 29.2%, 20.7%, 14.8%, 13.0% and 22.4% of participants were willing to pay less than $100, $100-$199, $200-299, $300-$399 and more than $400, respectively. Non-logistic regression analysis showed that respondents who were male, had a high level of education, were from the family with more children/older to raise, and accepted colorectal cancer screening were willing to pay for this screening. Multi-class logistic regression analysis showed that respondents with higher annual household income per capita, from government and private enterprises, government agency/institution and peasants, and less family medical expenditure were willing to pay *** Willingness to pay for colorectal cancer screening in Guangzhou is high, but the amount of willing to pay is not much.

AIM:To develop a real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) method to detect and quantify Campylobacter jejuni(***) from stool ***:Primers and a probe for real-time PCR were designed based on the specific DNA sequence of the hipO gene in *** specificity of the primers and probe were tested against a set of Campylobacter *** other enteric *** optimal PCR conditions were determined by testing a series of conditions with standard a *** *** detection limits were obtained using purified DNA from bacterial culture and extracted DNA from the stool *** hundred and forty-two specimens were analyzed for the presence of *** by direct bacterial culture and real-time ***:The optimal PCR system was determined using reference DNA templates,1 × uracil-DNA glycosylase,3.5 mmol/L MgCl 2,1.25 U platinum Taq polymerase,0.4 mmol/L PCR nucleotide mix,0.48 μmol/L of each primer,0.2 μmol/L of probe and 2 μL of DNA template in a final volume of 25 μ*** PCR reaction was carried as follows:95 ℃ for 4 min,followed by 45 cycles of 10 s at 95 ℃ and 30 s at 59 ℃.The detection limit was 4.3 CFU/mL using purified DNA from bacterial culture and 10 3 CFU/g using DNA from stool ***(8.3%,20/242) *** strains were isolated from bacterial culture,while 41(16.9%,41/242) samples were found to be positive by realtime *** sequencing of the PCR product indicated the presence of *** in the *** mixed infection of *** and Salmonella was detected in one specimen and the PCR test for this specimen was ***:The sensitivity of detection of *** from stool specimens was much higher using this PCR assay than using the direct culture method.
