Gradient‑Layered MXene/Hollow Lignin Nanospheres Architecture Design for Flexible and Stretchable Supercapacitors

With the rapid development of flexible wearable electronics,the demand for stretchable energy storage devices has *** this work,a novel gradient-layered architecture was design based on single-pore hollow lignin nanospheres(HLNPs)-intercalated two-dimensional transition metal carbide(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene)for fabricating highly stretchable and durable *** depositing and inserting HLNPs in the MXene layers with a bottom-up decreasing gradient,a multilayered porous MXene structure with smooth ion channels was constructed by reducing the overstacking of MXene ***,the micro-chamber architecture of thin-walled lignin nanospheres effectively extended the contact area between lignin and MXene to improve ion and electron accessibility,thus better utilizing the pseudocapacitive property of *** these strategies effectively enhanced the capacitive performance of the *** addition,HLNPs,which acted as a protective phase for MXene layer,enhanced mechanical properties of the wrinkled stretchable electrodes by releasing stress through slip and deformation during the stretch-release cycling and greatly improved the structural integrity and capacitive stability of the *** electrodes and symmetric flexible all-solid-state supercapacitors capable of enduring 600%uniaxial tensile strain were developed with high specific capacitances of 1273 mF cm^(−2)(241 F g^(−1))and 514 mF cm^(−2)(95 F g^(−1)),***,their capacitances were well preserved after 1000 times of 600%stretch-release *** study showcased new possibilities of incorporating biobased lignin nanospheres in energy storage devices to fabricate stretchable devices leveraging synergies among various two-dimensional nanomaterials.

CFD modeling using heterogeneous reaction kinetics for catalytic dehydrogenation syngas reactions in a fixed-bed reactor

A comprehensive 2D computational fluid dynamics （CFD） model was developed to simulate the flow behavior and catalytic dehydrogenation reaction of syngas in a heterogenous fixed-bed reactor （FBR）. The model combined the porous medium CFD model with a reaction kinetics model. To acquire an accu- rate reaction kinetics model, a comprehensive reaction mechanism was studied for the heterogeneous catalytic dehydrogenation reaction ofsyngas over a supported metal catalyst. Based on the reaction mech- anism and a statistical test, a reliable kinetics model was proposed. The CFD model combined with the above kinetics model was validated with one set of experimental data. The CFD model was also used to predict key reaction variable distributions such as the temperature and the component concentrations in the reactor.

Measurement and correlation of solid–liquid phase equilibria for binary and ternary systems consisting of N-vinylpyrrolidone, 2-pyrrolidone and water

The solid–liquid equilibria(SLE)for binary and ternary systems consisting of N-Vinylpyrrolidone(NVP),2-Pyrrolidone(2-P)and water are *** phase diagrams of NVP(1)+2-P(2),NVP(1)+water(2),NVP(1)+2-P(2)+1 wt%water(3)and NVP(1)+2-P(2)+2 wt%water(3)are identified as simple eutectic type with the eutectic points at 263.75 K(x_(1E)=0.5427),251.65 K(x_(1E)=0.3722),260.25 K(x_(1E)=0.5031)and256.55 K(x_(1E)=0.4684),*** phase diagram of 2-P(1)+water(2)has two eutectic points(x_(1E)=0.1236,T_E=259.15 K and x_(1E)=0.7831,T_E=286.15 K)and one congruent melting point(x_(1C)=0.4997,T_C=303.55 K)because of the generation of a congruently melting addition compound:2-P·H_*** ideal solubility and the UNIFAC models were applied to predict the SLE,while the Wilson and NRTL models were employed in correlating the experimental *** best correlation of the SLE data has been obtained by the Wilson model for the binary system of NVP+*** UNIFAC model gives more satisfactory predictions than the ideal solubility model.

Preparation and photocatalytic performance of ZnO/ZnGa_2O_4 composite microspheres

ZnO/ZnGa_2O_4 composite microspheres with heterojunction were successfully synthesized by one-pot hydrothermal *** samples were characterized by TG/DTA,XRD,TEM,HRTEM,UV-vis DRS,FL and BET *** results indicated the as-prepared samples showed better degree of crystalline and large specific surface *** photocatalytic activity was evaluated by degradation of methyl orange with the concentration of 50 mg/L under the irradiation of simulated *** effects of molar ratio of Zn to Ga and calcination temperature on the photocatalytic activity were investigated in *** results showed that the highest photocatalytic degradation efficiency was observed at the molar ratio of Zn to Ga of 1:0.5 in the starting materials and the calcination temperature of 400 °*** maximum photocatalytic degradation rate of MO was 97.1% within 60 min under the simulated sunlight irradiation,which is greatly higher than that of ZnO and ZnGa_2O_4.

N-[1-（2-Methyl-1-methylcarbamoyl-propylcarbamoyl）-2,3-diphenyl-cyclopropyl]-ben- zamide, C29H31N3O3, has been synthesized and characterized by IR, ^1H NMR, ^13C NMR and singlecrystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 11.0855（11）, b = 18.7756（19）, c = 24.434（2）A, V = 5085.5（9）A^3, Z = 8, Mr = 469.57, Dc = 1.227 g/cm^3, λ = 0.71070 A,μ（MoKα） = 0.080 mm^-1, F（000） = 2000, the final R = 0.0579 and wR = 0.1111 for 4569 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. The N-H and oxygen atom are involved in intermolecular hydrogen bonds which link the molecules into a one-dimensional chain.

Cerium-zinc redox flow battery: Positive half-cell electrolyte studies

Experimental work was performed to evaluate the Ce3＋/Ce4＋ redox couple in methane sulfonic acid （MSA） electrolyte for use in redox flow battery （RFB） technology. The electrochemical behaviour of the Ce3＋/Ce4＋ in MSA media was investigated using cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, chronoamperometry and rotating disc electrode. The standard rate constant of the Ce3＋/Ce4＋ redox reaction on graphite electrode in MSA was 4.06×10–4 cm/s. The diffusion coefficient of Ce3＋ in MSA was 5.87–6.15×10？6 cm2/s, and was 2.56–2.68×10？6 cm2/s for Ce4＋. The energy efficiency of a cerium-zinc test cell was 74.8%. The high stability of cerium salts in MSA media and relatively fast redox kinetics of the Ce3＋/Ce4＋ redox reaction at graphite ectrode indicated that the Ce3＋/Ce4＋ might be well suited for use in RFB technology.

Syntheses,Crystal Structures and Properties of Two New Compounds from a Flexible Bipodal Acid with Additional Amide Groups

Two novel compounds {[Cu（IBG）（4,4-bipy）（H2O）2]2·11H2O}n（1） and {[Co（IBG）-（μ-H2O）（H2O）2]·2H2O}n（2） based on isophthaloylbisglycine（H2IBG） have been synthesized and structurally characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 shows a 1D chain sine/cosine chain structure, and compound 2 can be characterized as a 4-connected sql tetragonal planar network with the point symbol of {44·62}. Compound 2 has been characterized by magnetic measurements. In addition, 1 and 2 display an interesting reversible crystal-to-amorphous transformation.

2-Thioxo-1,2-dihydrobenzo[d][1,3]thiazin-4-one:Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Its Photoinduced Proton Transfer Reaction

2-Thioxo-1,2-dihydrobenzo[d][1,3]thiazin-4-one （TDBTO）, a new thiazin-one derivative, was synthesized and investigated. The crystal structure of TDBTO （CsHsNOS2, Mr = 193.8） was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1 with a = 6.946（3）, b = 7.402（3）, c = 8.954（4）A, α = 66.931（7）°,β = 89.866（7）°, γ = 72.289（7）°, V = 399.8（3） A^3, Z = 2, Mr = 195.25, Dc = 1.622 g/cm^3,μ = 0.606 mm^-1, F（000） = 200, R = 0.0361 and wR = 0.1032. There exist intermolecular hydrogen bond of N（1）-H（1A）-..O（1） and weak C（6）-H（6A）...O（1） contact in the structure as well as face-to-face π-π stacking interactions between the benzene ring and the thiazin ring of an adjacent benzothiazin unit. The photoinduced proton transfer reaction, transforming the initial thione into thiol form, was found, and the latter form was characterized by UV absorption spectra, fluo-rescence spectra and infrared spectra.
