Revealing Spatial Spillover Effect in High-Tech Industry Agglomeration from a High-Skilled Labor Flow Network Perspective

Understanding the high-tech industrial agglomeration from a spatial-spillover perspective is essential for cities to gain economic and technological competitive *** with rapid urbanization and the development of fast transportation networks,socioeconomic interactions between cities have been ever-increasing,traditional spatial metrics are not enough to describe actual inter-city ***-skilled labor flow between cities strongly influences the high-tech industrial agglomeration,yet receives less *** exploiting unique large-scale datasets and tools from complex network and data mining,the authors construct an inter-city high-skilled labor flow network,which was integrated into spatial econometric *** regression results indicate that spatial-spillover effects exist in the development of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration ***,the spatial-spillover effects are stronger among cities with a higher volume of high-skilled labor flows than among cities with just stronger geographic ***,the authors investigate the channels for the spillover effects and discover that inadequate local government expenses on science and technology likely hamper the high-tech industrial agglomeration,so does the inadequate local educational *** increasing foreign direct investments in one city likely encourages the high-tech industrial agglomeration in other cities because of the policy inertia toward traditional industries.

High-quality Development of Public Health in Guizhou Province, China

People’s health is the basis for the progress of social civilization and an important symbol of national prosperity and national *** the entropy method,spatial autocorrelation,spatio-temporal geographic weighted regression and other methods,we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the high-quality development level of public health in Guizhou Province from 2011 to 2020 and an evolutionary analysis of the spatio-temporal *** results revealed four key aspects of the state of public health in Guizhou Province.(1)The overall level of public health is constantly improving,but structural imbalance is prominent.(2)From the spatial dimension,the spatial differences in the level of public health have gradually moved from significant to a state of *** northeastern cities were more strongly driven by the radiation of the peripheral cities,while this effect was weaker in the southwestern *** the time dimension,the spatial pattern shows a clear gradient,with a faster vertical growth rate.(3)The overall spatial correlation of the level of public health is weak,with more cold spots than hot spots,showing a distribution pattern of“strong in the northeast and weak in the southwest”.(4)The new rural cooperative medical care participation rate,(rural)per capita health expenditure,and the electronic health record creation rate have become the most important drivers affecting the high-quality development of public health in Guizhou Province.

Toxin variation among salamander populations:discussing potential causes and future directions

Amphibians produce defensive chemicals which provide protection against both predators and *** species,populations can differ considerably in the composition and amount of these chemical *** intraspecific variation in toxins and linking it to environmental variables may help us to identify the selective drivers of toxin evolution,such as predation pressure and infection ***,there has been a renewed interest in the unique toxins produced by salamanders from the genus Salamandra:the *** this attention,intraspecific variation has largely been ignored within *** aim of this study was to investigate whether geographic variation in profiles of samandarines exists,by sampling 4 populations of Salamandra atra over its range in the Dinaric *** addition,we preliminary explored whether potential variation could be explained by predation(counting the number of snake species)and infection risk(cultivation and genomic analyses of collected soil samples).Salamanders from the 4 populations differed in toxin composition and in the size of their poison glands,although not in overall toxin *** predation nor infection risk could explain this variation,as populations barely differed in these *** over a much broader geographic range,using better estimators for predation and infection risk,will contribute to an improved understanding of how environment may shape variation in chemical ***,as the 4 populations of *** did differ in their toxin profiles,we propose that this species provides an interesting opportunity for further ecological and evolutionary studies on amphibian toxins.

Realization Path to Pro-Poor-tourism Development of Dabie Mountains

Relying on rich tourism resources of the Dabie Mountains to accelerate industrialized poverty alleviation and development is the inevitable choice of promoting regional economic and social leapfrog development. The realistic basis of pro-poor tourism of the Dabie Mountains is already ready and continuously strengthened. This paper, based on domestic and foreign pro-poor tourism practices, put forward the development path to pro-poor-tourism of Dabie Mountains of "establishing tourism development platform with the government as the leading factor; establishing the benefit sharing mechanism of pro-poor tourism with community participation as the main line; improving the community residents' professionalism in engaging in tourism with local residents as the main body; enhancing the overall effectiveness of pro-poor tourism with tourism as the principal industry".

Exploring Agritourism Experience and Perceptions of Pork Production

The interest of consumers in farming activities is evident and agricultural producers have responded to this increasing interest in a number of ways, including inviting visitors to farm operations through tourism or farm visits. Livestock industries, in particular, are interacting with the public in numerous ways, including via marketing channels for their products, interacting with community leaders and community members in regard to location siting and regulations, and inviting people onto their operations via agritourism. An improved understanding of who visits agricultural locations (particularly livestock operations) and consumers’ perceptions about livestock agriculture is needed in order to begin to understand the possible relationships between on-farm experiences and consumers’ perceptions. Thus, it is important to gain a deeper understanding in consumers’ interests, including their levels of concern for production process attributes, such as animal welfare, relative to product attributes like price and taste. This analysis investigates the demographics of consumers who have (and have not) visited various agritourism operations, studies differences in preferences for (or perceptions of) animal welfare relative to other pork attributes between consumers who have or have not visited a livestock operation, as well as amongst consumers with varying levels of involvement in household food production. Indeed the relationships explored are between having visited a livestock operation and the perceptions. This study found that 69% of participants had visited a livestock operation (pig farm, dairy farm, and/or horse farm) at some point. The majority of respondents agreed that agriculture was an important industry, yet, those who had visited livestock operations were more likely to note concerns about the impact of livestock operations on water quality in their county.

Landscape heterogeneity in biodiversity conservation areas can be represented by the size of the geographic range of vegetation cover types and their species composition;and is reflected in historical and contemporary LULC(Land Use/Cover).This study assesses LULC changes in a predominantly vegetated Incalaue river basin in NSR(Niassa Special Reserve)for the years 2001,2009 and 2019 to recommend conservation *** was mapped using the best available Landsat imagery of the area which were L7 EMT+(Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper),L5 TM(Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper)and L8 OLI(Landsat 8 Operational Land Imagery).Image classification and remote sensing analysis were done using images of 30-meter resolution using the maximum likelihood supervised classification on ArcGIS ArcMap *** showed that there were gains in area coverfor taller vegetation classes with the major ones being MDW(Medium Density Woodland)which increased by 51.07%;MFS(Mountain Forests)by 36.41%;and HDW(High-Density Woodland)by 17.95%over the studied ***(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)maps show 2019 with wetter vegetation than 2001;and both wetter than *** spatially dominant vegetation-class was MDW(Medium Density Woodland)covering 27.29%of the basin area largely in the elevation band 410-430 m *** classes do not necessarily follow landform with rocky upstream section(440-510 m a.s.l)having MFS which also existed in lower altitude areas(370-430 m a.s.l);and woodland being randomly distributed across the basin while there was also WET(Wetland)in both upstream and *** are multiple vegetation species localized in distribution in the landscape which makes these to be hotspot areas for *** people in the human settlement areas of Ntimbo 1 and Lizongole recognize vulnerability of ecosystems,environmental change as well as human land use/cover and climate change as the main *** was a large increase in human settlement area(104

Implementation of the rural revitalization strategies is a specific mission promoted in the 19th CPC National Congress, and the core path of the 5 main ones for the implementation of rural revitalization strategies is rural talent revitalization, which is also the key for the revitalization of rural areas. This paper took the demands on talents in the integrated revitalization of culture and tourism in Xiadang Town, Shouning County, Fujian Province for example, proposed that cultural and tourism integrative development is an effective form of rural industrial revitalization, so that the regions such as Xiadang Town just getting rid of poverty could explore a characteristic road of rural revitalization through promoting rural talent revitalization effectively, implementing rural talent revitalization strategies according to the actual conditions, and urging the government to formulate policies for solving the talent structure conflicts during the overall revitalization.

Urban building energy analysis has attracted more attention as the population living in cities increases as does the associated energy consumption in urban *** paper proposes a systematic bottom-up method to conduct energy analysis and assess energy saving potentials by combining dynamic engineering-based energy models,machine learning models,and global sensitivity analysis within the GIS(geographic Information System)environment for large-scale urban *** method includes five steps:database construction of building parameters,automation of creating building models at the GIS environment,construction of machine learning models for building energy assessment,sensitivity analysis for choosing energy saving measures,and GIS visual evaluation of energy saving *** buildings in Tianjin(China)are used as a case study to demonstrate the application of the method proposed in this *** results indicate that the method proposed here can provide reliable and fast analysis to evaluate the energy performance of urban buildings and determine effective energy saving measures to reduce energy consumption of urban ***,the GIS-based analysis is very useful to both create energy models of buildings and display energy analysis results for urban buildings.
