We demonstrate for the first time to our knowledge the use of Fe3O4 nanoparticles for Q-switching a tunable midinfrared(Mid-IR)Dy^3+-doped ZBLAN fiber laser around 3μ*** Q-switcher was fabricated by depositing the prepared Fe3O4 nanoparticles solution onto an Au *** nonlinear optical response was characterized using a mode locked Ho^3+/Pr^3+-codoped ZBLAN fiber laser at 2.87μm,and showed a modulation depth of 11.9%as well as a saturation intensity of 1.44 MW/cm^*** the device into a tunable Dy^3+-doped ZBLAN fiber laser,stable Q-switched pulses within the tunable range of 2812.4-3031.6 nm were *** tuning the wavelength to 2931.2 nm,a maximum Q-switching output power of 111.0 mW was achieved with a repetition rate of 123.0 kHz and a pulse width of 1.25μ*** corresponding pulse energy was 0.90μ*** demonstration suggests that Fe3O4 nanoparticles are a promising broadband saturable absorption material for mid-infrared operation.

C60 field-effect transistor （OFET） with a mobility as high as 5.17 cm2/V.s is fabricated. In our experiment, an ultrathin pentacene passivation layer on poly-（methyl methacrylate）（PMMA） insulator and a bathophenanthroline （Bphen）/Ag bilayer electrode are prepared. The OFET shows a significant enhancement of electron mobility compared with the corresponding device with a single PMMA insultor and an Ag electrode. By analysing the C60 film with atomic force microscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques, it is shown that the pentacene passivation layer can contribute to C60 film growth with the large grain size and significantly improve crystallinity. Moreover, the Bphen buffer layer can reduce the electron contact barrier from Ag electrodes to C60 film efficiently.

Polycrystalline rare-earth hexaborides （NdxGdl-x）B6 （x = 0, 0.2, 0.6, 0.8, 1） were prepared by the reactive spark plasma sintering （SPS） method using mixed powder of GdH2, NdH2 and B. The effects of Nd doping on the crystal structure, the grain orientation, the thermionie emission and the magnetic properties of the hexaboride were investigated by X-ray diffraction, electron backscattered diffraction and magnetic measurements. It is found that all the samples sintered by the SPS method exhibit high densities （〉95%） and high values of Vickers hardness （2319 kg/mm2）. The values are much higher than those obtained in the traditional method. With the increase of Nd content,the thermionic emission current density increases from 11 to 16.30 A/cm2 and the magnetic phase transition temperature increases from 5.85 to 7.95 K. Thus, the SPS technique is a suitable method to synthesize the dense rare-earth hexaborides with excellent properties.

We analyse the capacity of a simultaneous quantum secure direct communication scheme between the central party and other M parties via M＋1-particle GHZ states and swapping quantum entanglement. It is shown that the encoding scheme should be secret if other M parties wants to transmit M ＋ 1 bit classical messages to the centre party secretly. However, when the encoding scheme is announced publicly, we prove that the capacity of the scheme in transmitting the secret messages is 2 bits, no matter how large M is.

Segregations and desorptions of Ge atoms in nanocomposite Si_(1-x)Ge_x films during high-temperature annealing

Nanocomposite Si1-xGex films are deposited by dual-source jet-type inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition （jet-ICPCVD）. The segregations and desorptions of Ge atoms, which dominate the structural evolutions of the films during high-temperature annealing, are investigated. When the annealing temperature （Ta） is 900℃, the nanocomposite Si1-xGex films are well crystallized, and nanocrystals （NCs） with the core-shell structure form in the films. After being annealed at 1000℃ （above the melting point of bulk Ge）, Ge atoms accumulate on the surfaces of Ge-rich films, whereas pits appear on films with lower Ge content, resulting from desorption. Meanwhile, voids are observed in the films. A cone-like structure involving the percolation of the homogeneous clusters and the crystallization of NCs enhances Ge segregation.

The mechanical stability,elastic,and thermodynamic properties of the anti-perovskite superconductors MNNi 3（M=Zn,Mg,Al） are investigated by means of the first-principles *** calculated structural parameters and elastic properties of MNNi 3 are in good agreement with the experimental and the other theoretical *** the elastic constants under high pressure,we predict that ZnNNi 3,MgNNi 3,and AlNNi 3 are not stable at the pressures above 61.2 GPa,113.3 GPa,and 122.4 GPa,*** employing the Debye model,the thermodynamic properties,such as the heat capacity and the thermal expansion coefficient,under pressures and at finite temperatures are also obtained successfully.

A first-principles study on the mechanical stability, elastic and thermodynamic properties of WN2 with P63/mmc and P-6m2 phases are reported using the pseudo potential plane wave method within the generalized gradient approx- imation. The calculated equilibrium parameters are in good agreement with the available theoretical data. A complete elastic tensor and crystal anisotropies of the ultra-incompressible WN2 are determined in the wide pressure range. By the elastic stability criteria, it is predicted that P63/mmc and P-6m2 phases in WN2 are not stable above 175.1 GPa and 170.1 GPa, respectively. Finally, by using the quasiharmonic Debye model, the isothermal and adiabatic bulk modulus, and the heat capacity of WN2 are also successfully obtained.

Control of entanglement between two atoms by the Stark shift

Considering a quantum model consisting of two effective two-level atoms and a single-mode cavity, this paper investigates the entanglement dynamics between the two atoms, and studies the effect of the Stark shift on the entanglement. The results show that, on the one hand the atom-atom entanglement evolves periodically with time and the periods are affected by the Stark shift; on the other hand, the two atoms are not disentangled at any time when the Stark shift is considered, and for large values of the Stark shift parameter, the two atoms can remain in a stationary entangled state. In addition, for the initially partially entangled atomic state, the atom-atom entanglement can be greatly enhanced due to the presence of Stark shift. These properties show that the Stark shift can be used to control entanglement between two atoms.
