Contact Stress Reliability Analysis Model for Cylindrical Gear with Circular Arc Tooth Trace Based on an Improved Metamodel

Although there is currently no unified standard theoretical formula for calculating the contact stress of cylindrical gears with a circular arc tooth trace(referred to as CATT gear),a mathematical model for determining the contact stress of CATT gear is essential for studying how parameters affect its contact stress and building the contact stress limit state equation for contact stress reliability *** this study,a mathematical relationship between design parameters and contact stress is formulated using the *** enhance the model’s accuracy,we propose a new hybrid algorithm that merges the genetic algorithm with the Quantum Particle Swarm optimization algorithm,leveraging the strengths of ***,the“parental inheritance+self-learning”optimization model is used to fine-tune the KrigingMetamodel’s *** this,amathematicalmodel for calculating the contact stress of Variable Hyperbolic Circular-Arc-Tooth-Trace(VH-CATT)gears using the optimized Kriging model was *** then examined how different gear parameters affect the VH-CATT gears’contact *** simulation results show:(1)Improvements in R2,RMSE,and RMAE.R2 rose from0.9852 to 0.9974(a 1.22%increase),nearing 1,suggesting the optimized Kriging Metamodel’s global error is ***,RMSE dropped from3.9210 to 1.6492,a decline of 57.94%.The global error of the GA-IQPSO-Kriging algorithm was also reduced,with RMAE decreasing by 58.69%from 0.1823 to 0.0753,showing the algorithm’s enhanced *** a comparison of ten experimental groups selected randomly,the GA-IQPSO-Kriging and FEM-based contact analysis methods were used to measure contact *** revealed a maximum error of 12.11667 MPA,which represents 2.85%of the real value.(2)Several factors,including the pressure angle,tooth width,modulus,and tooth line radius,are inversely related to contact *** descending order of their impact on the contact stress is:tooth line radius>modulus

A Novel Hybrid Ensemble Learning Approach for Enhancing Accuracy and Sustainability in Wind Power Forecasting

Accurate wind power forecasting is critical for system integration and stability as renewable energy reliance *** approaches frequently struggle with complex data and non-linear connections. This article presentsa novel approach for hybrid ensemble learning that is based on rigorous requirements engineering *** approach finds significant parameters influencing forecasting accuracy by evaluating real-time modern-EraRetrospective Analysis for Research and Applications (MERRA2) data from several European Wind farms usingin-depth stakeholder research and requirements elicitation. Ensemble learning is used to develop a robust model,while a temporal convolutional network handles time-series complexities and data gaps. The ensemble-temporalneural network is enhanced by providing different input parameters including training layers, hidden and dropoutlayers along with activation and loss functions. The proposed framework is further analyzed by comparing stateof-the-art forecasting models in terms of Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE),respectively. The energy efficiency performance indicators showed that the proposed model demonstrates errorreduction percentages of approximately 16.67%, 28.57%, and 81.92% for MAE, and 38.46%, 17.65%, and 90.78%for RMSE for MERRAWind farms 1, 2, and 3, respectively, compared to other existingmethods. These quantitativeresults show the effectiveness of our proposed model with MAE values ranging from 0.0010 to 0.0156 and RMSEvalues ranging from 0.0014 to 0.0174. This work highlights the effectiveness of requirements engineering in windpower forecasting, leading to enhanced forecast accuracy and grid stability, ultimately paving the way for moresustainable energy solutions.

FeOOH have received considerable attention due to their natural abundance and *** the significant progress achieved,the one-step synthesis of integrated FeOOH is still a major ***,the current research on FeOOH catalyst still suffers from the unclear mechanism of controlling ***,density functional theory(DFT)calculations and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)demonstrated the strong electron-capturing and hydrogen absorption ability of Co in FeOOH,which further promotes the formation and stabilization of *** used a one-step electrodeposition method to synthesize Co introduced FeOOH integrated electrocatalyst and propose to introduce ions with different valence states to regulate the morphology of FeOOH by precise modulation of electric double layer(EDL)composition and *** prepared Co-FeOOH-K^(+)has a larger electrochemically active surface area(ECSA)(325 cm^(2))and turnover frequency(TOF)value(0.75 s^(-1)).In the electrochemical experiments of an alkaline anion exchange membrane electrolyzer,Co-FeOOH-K^(+)shows better oxygen evolution performance than commercial RuO_(2) under industrial production conditions and has good industrial application prospects.

Single-step-etched ultra-compact metamaterial grating coupler enabled by a hierarchical inverse design approach

With the concept of metamaterials introduced into integrated photonics,subwavelength structures have gained popularity for their ability to create devices with ultra-compact size,high performance,and versatile ***,traditional metamaterial design methods are usually based on empirical templates and physical approximations,lacking the ability to design free-form metamaterial structures and optimize entire devices *** this work,we propose a hierarchical inverse design approach that combines a conventional effective refractive index based metamaterial structures design with a follow-up global topology *** empirical metamaterial grating coupler design based on effective refractive index engineering faces inaccurate index extraction and insufficient approximation of wavevector matching conditions,which deteriorates coupling efficiency,especially for fully-etched devices with the decreased tapering ***,a subsequent overall topology optimization step can well compensate for the negative effect of the shrinking device footprint to increase the efficiency of the metamaterial grating *** demonstrate a 23μm×10μm ultra-compact metamaterial grating coupler with single-stepetched to couple light between a fiber and a 500 nm single-mode silicon waveguide in the *** measurement shows an insertion loss of 3.17 dB and a 3 dB bandwidth of 77 nm,making it the smallest footprint device ever reported.

High-Efficiency Dynamic Scanning Strategy for Powder Bed Fusion by Controlling Temperature Field of the Heat-Affected Zone

Improvement of fabrication efficiency and part performance was the main challenge for the large-scale powder bed fusion(PBF)*** this study,a dynamic monitoring and feedback system of powder bed temperature field using an infrared thermal imager has been established and integrated into a four-laser PBF equipment with a working area of 2000 mm×2000 *** heat-affected zone(HAZ)temperature field has been controlled by adjusting the scanning speed ***,the relationship among spot size,HAZ temperature,and part performance has been *** fluctuation of the HAZ temperature in four-laser scanning areas was decreased from 30.85℃to 17.41℃.Thus,the consistency of the sintering performance of the produced large component has been *** on the controllable temperature field,a dynamically adjusting strategy for laser spot size was proposed,by which the fabrication efficiency was improved up to 65.38%.The current research results were of great significance to the further industrial applications of large-scale PBF equipment.

PSMFNet: Lightweight Partial Separation andMultiscale Fusion Network for Image Super-Resolution

The employment of deep convolutional neural networks has recently contributed to significant progress in single image super-resolution (SISR) research. However, the high computational demands of most SR techniques hinder their applicability to edge devices, despite their satisfactory reconstruction performance. Thesemethods commonly use standard convolutions,which increase the convolutional operation cost of the model. In this paper, a lightweight Partial Separation and Multi scale Fusion Network (PSMFNet) is proposed to alleviate this problem. Specifically, this paper introduces partial convolution (PConv), which reduces the redundant convolution operations throughout the model by separating some of the features of an image while retaining features useful for image reconstruction. Additionally, it is worth noting that the existing methods have not fully utilized the rich feature information, leading to information loss, which reduces the ability to learn feature representations. Inspired by self-attention, this paper develops a multi scale feature fusion block (MFFB), which can better utilize the non-local features of an image. MFFB can learn long-range dependencies from the spatial dimension and extract features fromthe channel dimension, thereby obtaining more comprehensive and rich feature information. As the role of the MFFB is to capture rich global features, this paper further introduces an efficient inverted residual block (EIRB) to supplement the local feature extraction ability of PSMFNet. A comprehensive analysis of the experimental results shows that PSMFNet maintains a better performance with fewer parameters than the state-of-the-art models. © 2024 The Authors. The estimation of fish mass is one of the most basic and important tasks in *** the mass of fish at different growth stages is of great significance for feeding,monitoring the health status of fish,and making breeding plans to increase *** existing estimation methods for fish mass often stay in the 2D plane,and it is difficult to obtain the 3D information on fish,which will lead to the *** solve this problem,a multi-view method was proposed to obtain the 3D information of fish and predict the mass of fish through a two-stage neural network with an edge-sensitive *** the first stage,the side-and downward-view images of the fish and some 3D information,such as side area,top area,length,deflection angle,and pitch angle,were captured to estimate the size of the fish through two vertically placed *** the area of the fish at different views was estimated accurately through the pre-trained image segmentation neural network with an edgesensitive *** the second stage,a fully connected neural network was constructed to regress the fish mass based on the 3D information obtained in the previous *** experimental results indicate that the proposed method can accurately estimate the fish mass and outperform the existing estimation methods.
