Estimation of gaseous polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and characteristics of atmospheric PAHs at a traffic site in kanazawa,Japan

Size-fractionated particulate matter(PM_(2.5)and PM>_(2.5))was collected at a traffic site in kanazawa,Japan in a seasonal sampling work in *** polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(4-to 6-ring PAHs)were determined in fine and coarse *** gas/particle partitioning coefficients(K_(p))of the PAHs were calculated from the supercooled liquid vapour pressure and octanol-air partitioning coefficient based on the relationships obtained in previous traffic pollution-related *** PAHs were estimated by K_(p) and the concentrations of PM and particulate *** concentrations of total PAHs were 32.5,320.1 and 5646.2 pg/m^(3) in the PM>_(2.5),PM_(2.5) and gas phases,*** seasonal trends in PAHs were observed(particle phase:lowest in summer,gas phase:lowest in spring,particle and gas phase:lowest in spring).Compared to 2019,the total PAH concentrations(in particles)decreased in 2020,especially in spring and summer,which might be due to reduced traffic trips during the COVID-19 *** incremental lifetime cancer risk(ILCR)calculated from the toxic equivalent concentrations relative to benzo[a]pyrene(BaP_(eq))was lower than the acceptable limit issued by the US Environmental Protection Agency,indicating a low cancer risk in long-term exposure to current PAH *** is notable that gaseous PAHs considerably contributed to BaP_(eq) and ILCR(over 50%),which highlighted the significance of gaseous PAH monitoring for public health *** low-cost estimation method for gaseous PAHs can be expected to reliably and conveniently obtain PAH concentrations as a surrogate for traditional sampling in the future work.

Intratumoral injection of two dosage forms of paclitaxel nanoparticles combined with photothermal therapy for breast cancer

Objective:In order to enhance the efficacy of anti-breast cancer,paclitaxel nanoparticles（PTX NPs） and polypyrrole nanoparticles（PPy NPs） were combined with photothermal therapy and *** the same time,the two dosage forms of PTX NPs and PTX NPs gel were ***:PTX NPs were prepared by self-assembly method,and then the cytotoxicity in vitro was investigated by Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium（MTT） and other methods,and the efficacy and side effects in vivo were further ***:The average hydrated diameter,PDI and electric potential of PTX NPs were（210.20±1.57） nm,（0.081±0.003） mV and（15.80±0.35） mV,*** results showed that the IC50value of PTX NPs on 4 T1 cells was 0.490 μg/mL,while that of PTX injection was 1.737 μg/*** cell inhibitory effect of PTX NPs was about 3.5 times higher than that of PTX *** tumor inhibition rates of PTX NPs and gel were 48.64% and 56.79%,*** with local photothermal stimulation,the tumor inhibition rate of the PTX NPs reached 91.05%,surpassing that of the gel under the same conditions（48.98%）,moreover,the organ index and H&E staining results of PTX NPs showed a decrease in ***:This combination therapy can significantly enhance the effect of anti-breast cancer,and the synergistic effect of chemotherapy and light and heat provides a feasible and effective strategy for the treatment of tumor.

Selective activation of dioxygen to singlet oxygen over La-Si co-doped TiO_(2)microspheres for photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde

Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)are highly harmful to human beings and other organisms,and thus the elimination of VOCs is extremely ***,La-Si co-doped TiO_(2)microsphere photocatalysts,which were prepared by a hydrothermal method,exhibited high photocatalytic activity in the decomposition of formaldehyde compared with TiO_(2).The improved activity can be attributed to the promoted separation efficiency and density of the charge carriers,as verified by the electrochemical results in combination with density functional theory *** addition,the Si dopant changed the microstructure and surface acidity,while the addition of La promoted the separation efficiency of charge *** interestingly,it was found that singlet oxygen was the key species in the activation of molecular dioxygen,and it played a pivotal role in the photocatalytic decomposition of *** work provides a novel strategy for the selective activation of dioxygen for use in the decomposition of formaldehyde.

Tumor acidic microenvironment activatable DNA nanostructure for precise cancer cell targeting and inhibition

Precise tumor targeting and therapy is a major trend in cancer ***,we designed a tumor acidic microenvironment activatable drug loaded DNA nanostructure,in which,we made a clever use of the sequences of AS1411 and i-motif,which can partially hybridize,and designed a simple while robust DNA D-strand nanostructure,in which,i-motif sequence was designed to regulate the binding ability of the AS1411 aptamer to target *** the normal physiological environment,i-motif inhibits the targeting ability of *** the acidic tumor microenvironment,i-motif forms a quadruplex conformation and dissociates from AS1411,restoring the targeting ability of *** when acidic condition and tumor cell receptor are present,this nanostructure can be internalized by the tumor ***,the structure change of this nanostructure can realize the release of loaded *** drug loaded A-I-Duplex DNA structure showed cancer cell and spheroid targeting and inhibition ability,which is promising in the clinical cancer therapy.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Rosa moschata(***)extract on haloperidol-induced Parkinson’s disease(PD)in ***:Haloperidol(1 mg/kg)was given to rats intraperitoneally for 3 weeks for induction of *** extract(150,300 and 600 mg/kg)was administered orally for 21 *** neuroprotective role of *** leaf extract in PD was explored by performing neurobehavioral tests and RT-PCR analysis and measuring neurotransmitters and oxidative stress ***:An improvement in motor functions and muscle strength was observed in PD rats treated with *** *** levels of dopamine,serotonin,noradrenaline,superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione,and superoxide dismutase were significantly increased(P<0.001),whereas acetylcholinesterase and malondialdehyde levels were markedly decreased by treatment with *** extract(P<0.001).The extract also markedly downregulated the mRNA expressions of IL-1β,α-synuclein,IL-1α,and TNF-αin brain ***,histopathological analysis indicated that neurofibrillary tangles and plaques were noticeably decreased in a dose-dependent manner in PD rats treated with *** ***:*** extract alleviates haloperidol-induced PD in rats by reducing oxidative stress and *** may be used for management and treatment of *** additional studies are required to confirm its efficacy and molecular mechanisms.
