Student performance prediction plays an important role in improving education *** that students,exercise-answering processes exhibit different characteristics according to their different performance levels,this paper aims to mine the performance-related information from students’ exercising logs and to explore the possibility of predicting students’ performance using such process-characteristic information.A formal model of student-shared exercising processes and its discovery method from students’ exercising logs are *** similarity measures between students’ individual exercising behavior and student-shared exercising processes are presented.A prediction method of students’ performance level considering these similarity measures is explored based on classification *** experiment on real-life exercise-answering event logs shows the effectiveness of the proposed prediction method.

A new classification model, the fuzzy hybrid twin support vector machine(TWSVM), namely FHTWSVM, is proposed by combining the fuzzy TWSVM and the hypersphere support vector machine(SVM).The hypersphere SVM is utilized for generating the hyperspheres for the positive and negative class with the smallest possible radius, so that the hyperspheres can contain as many samples as possible. The samples which the hyperspheres cover form a new sample set. Furthermore a distance-based fuzzy function is utilized to calculate the fuzzy factors for the samples. Finally FHTWSVM is used to train all samples with the parameters optimized by grid search. This method can maximize intra-class clustering for noise removal and reduce the influence of *** demonstrate the superiority of the performance of FHTWSVM over other classifiers, e.g., KNN, RF,Bayesian, TWSVM, Ada Boost and XGBoost, a series of experiments is conducted using eight gene expression datasets. The evaluation results show that the proposed approach can improve the classification performance as well as reduce prediction errors for the datasets.

The three-dimensional(3D) nano?uid ?ow among the rotating circular plates ?lled with nanoparticles and gyrotactic microorganisms is studied. A generalized form of the magnetic Reynolds number is used for the mathematical modeling of the ferro-nano?uid ?ow. The torque e?ects on the lower and upper plates are calculated.A di?erential transform scheme with the Pad′e approximation is used to solve the coupled highly nonlinear ordinary di?erential equations. The results show that the squeeze Reynolds number signi?cantly suppresses the temperature, microorganism, and nanoparticle concentration distribution, and agree well with those obtained by the numerical method.

In this paper,we study a class of the fractional Schrodinger equations involving logarithmic and critical *** using the Nehari manifold method and the concentration compactness principle,we show that the above problem admits at least one ground state solution and one ground state sign-changing ***,by using variational methods,we prove that how the coefficient function of the critical nonlinearity affects the number of positive *** main feature which distinguishes this paper from other related works lies in the fact that it is the first attempt to study the existence and multiplicity for the above problem involving both logarithmic and critical nonlinearities.

We numerically demonstrate terahertz multichannel filters with independently tunable defect modes based on fractal photonic crystMs. Single defect and multiple defects models are proposed to fabricate the multichannel terahertz filters. The facts that the wave functions of the defect states do not overlap and their bases are orthogonal lead to the independency among the defect modes. The simulated results theoretically provide the principle for fabricating independently tunable multichannel terahertz filters by utilizing one-dimensional phot（~nic crystals with defects.

A robust SEIR epidemic disease model with a profitless delay and vertical transmission is formulated, and the dynamics behaviors of the model under pulse vaccination are analyzed. By use of the discrete dynamical system determined by the stroboscopic map, an ‘infection-free＇ periodic solution is obtained, further, it is shown that the ‘infection-free＇ periodic solution is globally attractive when some parameters of the model are under appropriate conditions. Using the theory on delay functional and impulsive differential equation, the sufficient condition with time delay for the permanence of the system is obtained, and it is proved that time delays, pulse vaccination and vertical transmission can bring obvious effects on the dynamics behaviors of the model. The results indicate that the delay is ‘profitless’.

This paper discusses the H∞ control problem for a class of linear stochastic systems driven by both Brownian motion and Poisson jumps. The authors give the basic theory about stabilities for such systems, including internal stability and external stability, which enables to prove the bounded real lemma for the systems. By means of Riccati equations, infinite horizon linear stochastic state-feedback H∞ control design is also extended to such systems.
