Objective:The objective of this study was to identify the ethno-medicinal values of some selected plant species in Federal college of Wildlife management,New Bussa,Niger state,Nigeria.Methods:Three methods of data collection were employed:(1) reconnansance survey of the college Estate was carried out to identify some selected medicinal plants found within the area:(2) field observations alongside personal recognition of some of these plant species were carried out and(3) interview was also carried out in three villages around the college Estate to determine the plants being utilized by the villagers.The villages were Kere,Labararu and Poppoi. The various uses of the identified plants and their parts used for the said purposes were recorded.One hundred people were interviewed altogether in these villages.Recorded information gathered on the medicinal uses of plants includes the type of plants,the part used to cure sickness,preparation of concoction,and the type of sickness cured.The data gathered were presented and analyzed using tables.Results:The results revealed that the identified plant species were being used in curing various diseases such as dysentery,fever, stomach pains,cough,malaria,yellow fever,diarrhea,gonorrhea,pile,body pains and other diseases.Conclusion: The study concluded that since the vast numbers of species in the study area possess medicinal values, there is need to conserve and protect the vegetation of the area from unsustainable exploitations which are the common features of vegetation in the surrounding land uses.

Introduction:In China,the direct-to-consumer genetic testing(DTC-GT)industry has been undergoing exponential growth during the past few years.This study intends to assess characteristics of DTC-GT users in China,estimate the price elasticity of demand,quantify monetary values of DTC-GT features,and discuss its implications to the development of precision public health.Methods:A total of 629 participants with an average age of 28.8 years were collected from an online survey conducted in November 2021.A discrete choice experiment and a mixed logit modelling approach were used to elucidate consumer preferences to DTC-GT services and evaluate monetary values of certain features.Results:DTC-GT users were found to have a higher level of income on average.The price elasticity of DTC-GT services was estimated to be−0.72(95%CI−0.73 to−0.70).The willingness-to-pay for genetic testing features of physical traits,personality,and dietary recommendation were estimated to be 90,107,and 220 CNY,respectively.Discussion:The nature of big genomic data makes DTC-GT have the potential to aid in the advancement of precision public health through more precise disease prevention and control strategies.The study also notes the need for addressing potential drawbacks of DTCGT and protecting genetic privacy.

A comparative multi-case analysis of professional farmer entrepreneurship cases in China was performed by applying the structural hole theory.The results confirmed four views.(1)Choosing the modern agriculture project entrepreneurship is rational for professional farmers,who return from urban,to reduce the interference from non-market factors.The success of this project stems from its ability to successfully occupy the structural hole of the market trading network.(2)In economically developed areas,professional farmers start their businesses and reduce transaction costs with factors by occupying‘self-benefit’or‘mutual-benefit’structural holes in market networks.(3)In traditional agricultural areas,for reducing factor transaction costs,professional farmers occupy the organizational-governance structural hole of rural social relationship networks and the mutual-benefit structural hole of market networks to start their businesses.(4)The embedding order of these two structural holes will change depending on the differences in the local resource endowment.This article proposes some suggestions to encourage professional farmers to develop featured agricultural projects,build a close benefit-linked mechanism with smallholders through the provision of socialized services,and participate in the governance of rural communities.

Supply chain resilience(SCR)refers to a supply chain's(SC's)ability to recover from disruptions timely and effectively.This study uses a combination of contingency and configuration approaches to examine the direct and contingent relationships between SCR dimensions(i.e.,internal,supplier,and customer resilience)and performance.It analyzes survey data collected from 206 Chinese manufacturers.The results show that the three SCR dimensions are positively related to customer satisfaction,whereas customer resilience has no direct contribution to financial performance.Internal resilience moderates the relationship between supplier resilience and performance(negative for customer satisfaction and positive for financial performance).A taxonomy for SCR was developed based on internal,supplier,and customer resilience,providing a holistic perspective for examining the performance discrepancies among four different SCR patterns:high externalleaning,high uniform,medium uniform,and low uniform.These findings offer insights for managers in building SCR from the crisis-management process.

Given a non-equidistant sequence or an equidistant series with one or more outliers, a grey interpolation approach considering the time lags is established for producing the missing data or correcting the abnormal values. To accomplish this, a new grey incidence model, called the grey dynamic incidence model GDIM(t), is constructed for determining whether the factors are effective to the known factor and what the time lag is between a useful factor and the specified sequence. Based on the results of the GDIM(t) model, two programming problems are designed to obtain the upper and lower bounds of the unknown or abnormal values which are regarded as grey numbers. The solutions based on the particle swarm optimization(PSO) for the nonlinear programming problems are given. To explain how it can be used in practice, this new grey interpolation approach is applied to correct an abnormal value in the sequence of an agriculture environment problem.

Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to propose a multi-criteria decision-making model based on the casebased reasoning(CBR)method for interval-valued probabilistic linguistic term set(IVPLTS),which can cluster different categories of building suppliers for targeted management.Design/methodology/approach-First,a new score function and distance measure for IVPLTS are proposed.Second,a green building supplier evaluation criterion system is constructed from five aspects:operation management,green management,cooperation potential,service level and product information.Finally,the IVPLTS-CBR model is used to evaluate the green building suppliers and groups them into three preset categories.Findings-The feasibility and validity of the proposed method are verified by comparing with the advanced TOPSIS method and the IVPLTS-based VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje(VIKOR)method.The compared results show that the proposed method is more consistent with the actual situation and has strong theoretical significance and practical value.Research limitations/implications-This paper presents a new method for clustering construction suppliers.Decision makers can use this method to classify construction suppliers into different categories,so that they can be targeted management.In this way,suppliers can be better guided and motivated to accelerate the green transformation and contribute their share to achieve the strategic goal of carbon neutral and carbon peak as soon as possible.Originality/value-A new score function and distance measure for IVPLTS are proposed.Besides,a novel IVPLTS-CBR method is applied to rank and cluster building suppliers.

Ergodic stationary distribution of a stochastic rumor propagation model with general incidence function

In daily lives,when emergencies occur,rumors will spread widely on the internet.However,it is quite difficult for the netizens to distinguish the truth of the information.The main reasons are the uncertainty of netizens’behavior and attitude,which make the transmission rates of these information among social network groups be not fixed.In this paper,we propose a stochastic rumor propagation model with general incidence function.The model can be described by a stochastic differential equation.Applying the Khasminskii method via a suitable construction of Lyapunov function,we first prove the existence of a unique solution for the stochastic model with probability one.Then we show the existence of a unique ergodic stationary distribution of the rumor model,which exhibits the ergodicity.We also provide some numerical simulations to support our theoretical results.The numerical results give us some possible methods to control rumor propagation.Firstly,increasing noise intensity can effectively reduce rumor propagation when R_(0)>1That is,after rumors spread widely on social network platforms,government intervention and authoritative media coverage will interfere with netizens’opinions,thus reducing the degree of rumor propagation.Secondly,speed up the rumor refutation,intensify efforts to refute rumors,and improve the scientific quality of netizen(i.e.,increase the value ofβand decrease the value ofαandγ),which can effectively curb the rumor propagation.

By means of singularity structure analysis, the integrability of a generalized fifth-order KdV equation is investigated. It is proven that this equation passes the Painleve test for integrability only for three distinct cases. Moreover, the multi- soliton solutions are presented for this equation under three sets of integrable conditions. Finally, by selecting appropriate parameters, we analyze the evolution of two solitons, which is especially interesting as it may describe the overtaking and the head-on collisions of solitary waves of different shapes and different types.

The financing strategies for a coal-electricity supply chain in which the coal company has capital constraint and faces yield uncertainty were studied. We propose an advance payment mechanism: in the coal company's initial production period, the electricity company provides advance payment to the coal company, and the coal company pays interest to the electricity company as the risk compensation. The optimal operation strategies for the coal company and the electricity company under the advance payment mechanism are derived and compared with those under the bank loan financing case. We find that,the expected profit functions of the coal company and the electricity company under the advance payment mechanism are the same with those under the case that the coal company has enough capital;under the advance payment mechanism, the profits of the coal company and the electricity company are higher than those under the bank financing case. We also discuss the compensation interest rate of the advance payment and the ordering and production quantities under the advance payment mechanism.
