Eu^(3+)-doped hydrocalumites (Eu^(3+)-doped CaAl-LDH) were prepared in an ethanol/water media. Various techniques, including inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and fluorescent spetctra (FL), etc., were employed to study the structure, composition,and fluorescence of samples. Compositional analyses reveal that the contents of all the elements calculated from the chemical formula are close to that of the actual found from measurement. XRD results suggest that the samples with different molar ratios of Ca^(2+)/(Al^(3+)+Eu^(3+)) present typical layered structure. Moreover, all the samples exhibit monoclinic structure. Fluorescent spectra show strong red emissions ascribed to^5D_0→~7F_J(J=1, 2) transitions of Eu3+ions for all the Eu^(3+)-doped hydrocalumites,revealing that the hydrocalumite is favorable for the emission of Eu^(3+). The Eu^(3+)-doped hydrocalumite may be a latent fluorescent material applied in biological or medical fields in consideration of the biocompatibility of Ca^(2+) ions and fluorescent property of Eu^(3+) ions.

In this work， an actuate membrane and an electrode membrane were prepared by a sol-gel method. And then， they were physically pressed to form a chitosan-based ion actuator (CSIA). Importantly， the effect of sodium chloride on CSIA were investigated， the mechanical properties of CSIA were tested by establishing an output force test platform and a displacement test platform while testing its porosity. And， the electrochemical performance was tested by electrochemical workstation. At the end， the surface morphology and functional groups were measured by scanning electron microscopy and Infrared spectrogram， respectively. The results indicated that the molar concentration of the sodium chloride was the best at 0.06836 mol·L-1for CSIA. Its mechanical properties could reach an output force of 2.939 mN and a deflection displacement of 4.025 mm， and the maximum porosity of 12.98% at the same time. The specific capacitance of the electrochemical performance was up to 0.07719 F·g-1， and the minimum resistance reached 13.48 Ω. From the surface morphology and functional groups， the appropriate doping ratio of NaCl into CSIA was helpful for increasing the transport space of internal ions. The effective internal ion concentration and significantly reduced internal stress provided excellent performances under the appropriate voltage conditions. The doping of inorganic ion sodium chloride improved the internal electron transport efficiency of chitosan ion actuator， and it advanced the mechanical properties of the actuator. Hence the enhancement of NaCl output force in CSIA had a good significance for the development of inorganic salt ion strengthened ion actuator.

Aiming at the functional requirements for the marine temperature logger, the client software was designed based on hierarchical architecture. Then a general design method was proposed for marine instruments. The division of data layer, control layer and view layer in this software, as well as the realization of every layer was introduced in detail. Software programming adopted object-oriented programming language C++. The control layer using the finite state machine better meet efficient real-time purpose. Temperature fitting uses Steinhart-Hart equation and least squares method. The experiment as well as the application indicates that the software has many features such as easy usage, friendly interface, stable performance and good expansibility.

The design and analysis of a fractional order proportional integral deri-vate(FOPID)controller integrated with an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)is proposed in this study.Aﬁrst order plus delay time plant model has been used to validate the ANFIS combined FOPID control scheme.In the pro-posed adaptive control structure,the intelligent ANFIS was designed such that it will dynamically adjust the fractional order factors(λandµ)of the FOPID(also known as PIλDµ)controller to achieve better control performance.When the plant experiences uncertainties like external load disturbances or sudden changes in the input parameters,the stability and robustness of the system can be achieved effec-tively with the proposed control scheme.Also,a modiﬁed structure of the FOPID controller has been used in the present system to enhance the dynamic perfor-mance of the controller.An extensive MATLAB software simulation study was made to verify the usefulness of the proposed control scheme.The study has been carried out under different operating conditions such as external disturbances and sudden changes in input parameters.The results obtained using the ANFIS-FOPID control scheme are also compared to the classical fractional order PIλDµand conventional PID control schemes to validate the advantages of the control-lers.The simulation results conﬁrm the effectiveness of the ANFIS combined FOPID controller for the chosen plant model.Also,the proposed control scheme outperformed traditional control methods in various performance metrics such as rise time,settling time and error criteria.

Computational fluid dynamics( CFD) is used to investigate a new type of two-chamber natural gas distributor,which has a natural gas inlet and nine nozzle outlets. The uniformity at the outlet of distributor is practice proven to have significant degree influence on its comprehensive performance. To improve the uniformity at the nozzles of the gas distributor,CFD modeling with the RNG k-ε turbulence model is undertaken to understand the mass flow rate of nozzles with reference to different length of chambers and the most optimal length is obtained. The internal flow pattern of the natural gas distributor is analyzed. It is found that the local maximum deviation of the nozzle outflow rate increases with the increase of chambers length when the length is more than 64 mm. The results provide useful suggestions for the optimal design of two-chamber natural gas distributor.

It is imperative to evaluate factor of safety against basal heave failure in the design of braced deep excavation in soft clay.Based on previously published field monitoring data and finite element analyses of ground settlements of deep excavation in soft clay,an assumed plastic deformation mechanism proposed here gives upper bound solutions for base stability of braced deep excavations.The proposed kinematic mechanism is optimized by the mobile depth(profile wavelength).The method takes into account the influence of strength anisotropy under plane strain conditions,the embedment of the retaining wall,and the locations of the struts.The current method is validated by comparison with published numerical study of braced excavations in Boston blue clay and two other cases of excavation failure in Taipei.The results show that the upper bound solutions obtained from this presented method is more accurate as compared with the conventional methods for basal heave failure analyses.

Indefinite metacavities(IMCs)made of hyperbolic metamaterials show great advantages in terms of extremely small mode volume due to large wave vectors endowed by the unique hyperbolic dispersion.However,quality(Q)factors of IMCs are limited by Ohmic loss of metals and radiative loss of leaked waves.Despite the fact that Ohmic loss of metals is inevitable in IMCs,the radiative loss can be further suppressed by leakage engineering.Here we propose a mirror coupled IMC structure which is able to operate at Fabry–Pérot bound states in the continuum(BICs)while the hyperbolic nature of IMCs is retained.At the BIC point,the radiative loss of magnetic dipolar cavity modes in IMCs is completely absent,resulting in a considerably increased Q factor(>90).Deviating from the BIC point,perfect absorption bands(>0.99)along with a strong near-field intensity enhancement(>1.8×10^(4))appear when the condition of critical coupling is almost fulfilled.The proposed BICs are robust to the geometry and material composition of IMCs and anomalous scaling law of resonance is verified during the tuning of optical responses.We also demonstrate that the Purcell effect of the structure can be significantly improved under BIC and quasi-BIC regimes due to the further enhanced Q factor to mode volume ratio.Our results provide a new train of thought to design ultra-small optical nanocavities that may find many applications benefitting from strong light–matter interactions.

Due to the deformation ability even under small loads, hydrogels have been widely used as a type of soft materials in various applications such as actuating and sensing, and have attracted many researchers to study their behaviors. In this paper, the behavior of hydrogel micro-valves with reverse sensitivity to the p H inside a T-junction flow sorter is investigated. With the fluid-structure interaction(FSI) approach, the effects of various parameters such as the inlet pressure and the p H value on the stress and deformation of the micro-valves are examined, and the results with and without FSI,including the flow rate and the closure p H, are compared. In order to reduce the response time of hydrogels, the effects of three different patterns on the performance of the microvalves are explored. Eventually, it is concluded that FSI is a key influential factor in designing and analyzing the behaviors of hydrogels.

Sb-based materials exhibit considerable potential for sodium-ion storage owing to their high theoretica capacities.However,the bulk properties of Sb-based materials always result in poor cycling and rate performances.To overcome these issues,pyridine-regulated Sb@InSbS3ultrafine nanoplates loaded on reduced graphene oxides (Sb@InSbS3@rGO) were designed and synthesized.During the synthesis process,pyridine was initially adopted to coordinate with In3+,and uniformly dispersed In2S3ultrafine nanoplates on reduced graphene oxide were generated after sulfidation.Next,partial In3+was exchanged with Sb3+,and Sb@InSbS3@rGO was obtained by using the subsequent annealing method.The unique structure of Sb@InSbS3@rGO effectively shortened the transfer path of sodium ions and electrons and provided a high pseudocapacitance.As the anode in sodium-ion batteries,the Sb@InSbS3@rGO electrode demonstrated a significantly higher reversible capacity better stability (445 m Ah·g-1at 0.1 A·g-1after 200 cycles and 212 mAh·g-1at 2 A·g-1after 1200 cycles),and superior rate (210 mAh·g-1at 6.4 A·g-1) than the electrode without pyridine (355 mAh·g-1at 0.1 A·g-1after 55 cycles and 109 mAh·g-1at 2 A·g-1after 770 cycles)Furthermore,full cells were assembled by using the Sb@InSbS3@rGO as anode and Na3V2(PO4)3as cathode which demonstrated good cycling and rate performances and exhibited promising application prospects.These results indicate that adjusting the microstructure of electrode materials through coordination balance is A·good strategy for obtaining high-capacity,high-rate,and longcycle sodium storage performances.
