Intelligent integrated sensing and communication:a survey

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is a promising technique to increase spectral efficiency and support various emerging applications by sharing the spectrum and hardware between these functionalities. However, the traditional ISAC schemes are highly dependent on the accurate mathematical model and suffer from the challenges of high complexity and poor performance in practical scenarios. Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a viable technique to address these issues due to its powerful learning capabilities, satisfactory generalization capability, fast inference speed, and high adaptability for dynamic environments, facilitating a system design shift from model-driven to data-driven. Intelligent ISAC, which integrates AI into ISAC, has been a hot topic that has attracted many researchers to investigate. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of intelligent ISAC, including its motivation, typical applications, recent trends, and challenges. In particular, we first introduce the basic principle of ISAC, followed by its key techniques. Then, an overview of AI and a comparison between model-based and AI-based methods for ISAC are provided. Furthermore, the typical applications of AI in ISAC and the recent trends for AI-enabled ISAC are reviewed. Finally, the future research issues and challenges of intelligent ISAC are discussed.

Multi-time-step Rolling Optimization Strategy for Post-disaster Emergency Recovery in Distribution System Based on Model Predictive Control

Aimed at improving the resilience of distribution systems and analyzing the influence of uncertainties on the postdisaster emergency recovery process of a power-transportation system,this paper proposes a multi-time-step rolling optimization strategy based on model predictive control(MPC).First,the prediction models for three types of uncertainties:recovery time of faulty equipment,load demand and photovoltaic output are *** it is assumed that traffic flow and density can meet a specific relationship,the cell transmission model(CTM)can be used to establish the transportation *** evidence theory is used to model and analyze the two types of uncertain factors that constitute fault recovery time:travel time and repair ***,a mixed integer linear programming model of emergency recovery is established,in order to minimize load reduction and restoration resource scheduling *** variables include repair sequence of faulty equipment and the scheduling plan for restoration *** the rolling optimization and feedback correction process,load demand can track the expected value and economic loss of power outages can be reduced as much as ***,a case study is used to verify the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper and validate a multi-time-step rolling optimization strategy has the advantages of updating uncertain information multiple times,which can achieve the goal of planning a shorter path for the repair crew and shortening the total duration of fault recovery。

In-situ formation of a new cation renders perovskite solar modules with a record efficiency and long-term stability

Over the past 14 years,the efficiency of perovskite solar cells has surged from 3.8% to 26.7%[1],establishing it as an unrivaled choice for next-generation ***,maintaining the long-term stability of perovskite solar modules(PSMs)remains a *** particular,the thermal-and light-induced changes in crystal structure,composition,and optoelectronic properties are the primary causes of device degradation,currently considered the Achilles’heel that hinders its commercialization[2–4].Now,writing in Science,Ding et al.[5]achieve a milestone by overcoming the thermal-and light-induced degradation,rendering the PSM with a record efficiency of 23.2% and a T80(time to 20% efficiency loss)over 4,000 h at 85℃ and 85%relative humidity(RH)under light *** key behind this milestone is to utilize the cation reactivity to in-situ form methyl tetrahydrotriazinium([MTTZ]+,a new cation)and dimethylammonium([DMA]+)in precursor solution(Figure 1a).These cations remarkably modulate perovskite crystallization and stabilize the perovskite.

Ru/NiMnB spherical cluster pillar for highly proficient green hydrogen electrocatalyst at high current density

Advanced OER/HER electrocatalytic alternatives are crucial for the wide adaptation of green hydrogen ***,Ru/NiMnB spherical cluster pillar(SCP),denoted as Ru/NiMnB,is synthesized using a combination of electro-deposition and hydrothermal *** investigation of Ru doping in the NiMnB matrix revealed significant improvements in electrocatalytic *** Ru/NiMnB SCPs demonstrate superior OER/HER activity with low overpotentials of 150 and 103 mV at 50mA/cm^(2)in 1 M KOH,making them highly competitive with state-of-the-art ***,the Ru/NiMnB SCPs exhibit a low 2-E cell voltage of 2.80 V at ultra-high current density of 2,000 m A/cm^(2)in 1 M KOH,outperforming the standard benchmark electrodes of RuO_(2)||Pt/C,thereby positioning Ru/NiMnB as one of the best bifunctional *** SCPs exhibit exceptional high-current characteristics,stability and corrosion resistance,as evidenced by continuous operation at 1,000 mA/cm^(2)high-current density for over 150 h in 6 M KOH at elevated temperatures under harsh industrial *** a small amount of Ru incorporation significantly enhances the electrocatalytic performances of NiMnB,attributed to increased active sites and improved intrinsic properties such as conductivity,adsorption/desorption capability and reaction ***,Ru/NiMnB SCPs present a promising bi-functional electrode concept for efficient green H_(2)production.

GPIO-Based Continuous Sliding Mode Control for Networked Control Systems Under Communication Delays With Experiments on Servo Motors

To handle input and output time delays that commonly exist in many networked control systems(NCSs), a new robust continuous sliding mode control(CSMC) scheme is proposed for the output tracking in uncertain single input-single-output(SISO) networked control systems. This scheme consists of three consecutive steps. First, although the network-induced delay in those systems can be effectively handled by using Pade approximation(PA), the unmatched disturbance cames out as another difficulty in the control design. Second, to actively estimate this unmatched disturbance, a generalized proportional integral observer(GPIO) technique is utilized based on only one measured state. Third, by constructing a new sliding manifold with the aid of the estimated unmatched disturbance and states, a GPIO-based CSMC is synthesized, which is employed to cope with not only matched and unmatched disturbances, but also networkinduced delays. The stability of the entire closed-loop system under the proposed GPIO-based CSMC is detailedly *** promising tracking efficiency and feasibility of the proposed control methodology are verified through simulations and experiments on Quanser's servo module for motion control under various test conditions.
