BACKGROUND At present,the existing internal medicine drug treatment can alleviate the high glucose toxicity of patients to a certain extent,to explore the efficacy of laparoscopic jejunoileal side to side anastomosis in the treatment of type 2 diabetes,the report is as *** To investigate the effect of jejunoileal side-to-side anastomosis on metabolic parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 78 patients with T2DM who were treated via jejunoileal lateral *** indicators were collected preoperatively,as well as at 3 and 6 months *** metabolic indicators analyzed included body mass index(BMI),systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-hour blood glucose(PBG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),fasting C-peptide,2-hour C-peptide(PCP),fasting insulin(Fins),2-hour insulin(Pins),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),βCellular function index(HOMA-β),alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,serum total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(L DL-C),triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein,and uric acid(UA)*** SBP,DBP,PBG,HbA1c,LDL-C,and TG were all significantly lower 3 months postoperative vs preoperative values;body weight,BMI,SBP,DBP,FBG,PBG,HbA1c,TC,TG,UA,and HOMA-IR values were all significantly lower 6 months postoperative vs at 3 months;and PCP,Fins,Pins,and HOMA-βwere all significantly higher 6 months postoperative vs at 3 months(all P<0.05).CONCLUSION Side-to-side anastomosis of the jejunum and ileum can effectively treat T2DM and improve the metabolic index levels associated with it.

Effect of heat flux and inlet temperature on the fouling characteristics of nanoparticles

In order to study the effect of heat flux and inlet temperature on the fouling characteristics of nanoparticles, and to further reveal the fouling mechanism for insights into proper operating conditions, γ-Al_2O_3/water suspensions were chosen as the subject of this research. The particulate fouling characteristics of γ-Al_2O_3/water suspensions on the surface of stainless steel have been experimentally studied by varying the heat flux and the inlet temperature under single-phase flow and subcooled-flow boiling conditions. The results show that in the condition of single-phase flow, the asymptotic value of fouling resistance decreases with increasing of heat flux and inlet temperature. The asymptotic value of fouling resistance under single-phase flow is much higher than for the subcooled-flow boiling condition. The effect of heat flux on the fouling resistance under the two flow states has an inverse relationship, and there exists a minimum value of fouling resistance between these two states. For subcooled-flow boiling, the asymptotic value of fouling resistance increases with increasing heat flux, whereas the effect on fouling resistance by the inlet temperature is negligible.

Effects of the insulated magnetic field and oblique incidence of electrons on the multipactor in MILO

The theoretical analysis and actual performance of the single-surface multipactor discharge model in the presence of a magnetic field are conducted through simulations. The effects of the magnitude of the insulated magnetic field and the oblique incidence of electrons on the multipactor are analysed. The results show that the multipactor susceptibility region shrinks gradually as the magnetic field increases when the electron cyclotron frequency is close to the RF frequency of the electric field. As a result, the evolution of the multipactor discharge will reach saturation earlier and become saturated at a higher level than the case when the magnetic field is absent, but the change of evolution and saturation as the insulated magnetic field increases is not obvious.

Experimental study and analysis on the rising motion of grains in a vertically-vibrated pipe

Previous experimental investigations have shown that when a narrow pipe is inserted into a granular bed and is vibrated vertically but the granular bed is kept still, the grains in the bed can enter the pipe and rise against gravity along the pipe and finally stabilized at a certain height. The growth velocity and final stable height of the grain column inside the pipe can be controlled by varying the vibration conditions. In this paper, we discuss those experimental findings. We establish a mathematic relation between the grain column height（h） and time（t）, and by using the relation we discuss the change of the growth velocity（ dh/ dt） and acceleration（ d^2h/ dt^2） with t and h, respectively. We also analyze the mechanism of the rising motion of the grains during vibration. Furthermore, we derive a theoretical expression for describing the final stable height（h st）, which shows that the main factors influencing the height are vibration strength（Γ）, bulk density of grains,inner diameter of the pipe, and vibration frequency, and that h st increases nonlinearly in the presence of air and linearly in a vacuum environment with increasing Γ.

Controlling chaos in permanent magnet synchronous motor based on finite-time stability theory

This paper reports that the performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor （PMSM） degrades due to chaos when its systemic parameters fall into a certain area. To control the undesirable chaos in PMSM, a nonlinear controller, which is simple and easy to be constructed, is presented to achieve finite-time chaos control based on the finite-time stability theory. Computer simulation results show that the proposed controller is very effective. The obtained results may help to maintain the industrial servo driven system＇s security operation.

Characteristics of long-gap AC streamer discharges under low pressure conditions

The generation and propagation of a streamer is a significant physical process of air gap discharge. Research on the mechanism of streamers under low-pressure conditions is helpful for understanding the process of long-gap discharge in a high-altitude area. This paper describes laboratory investigations of streamer discharge under alternating current（AC） voltage in a low pressure test platform for a 60 cm rod–plane gap at 30 kPa, and analyzes the characteristics of streamer generation and propagation. The results show that the partial streamer and breakdown streamer all occur in the positive half-cycle of AC voltage near the peak voltage at 30 kPa. The partial streamer could cause the distortion of current and voltage waveform, and it appears as the branching characteristic at the initial stage. With the extension of the streamer, the branching and tortuosity phenomena become gradually obvious, but the branching is suppressed when the streamer crosses the gap. The low-pressure condition has little influence on the tortuosity length and the tortuosity number of the streamer, but affect the diameter of streamer obviously.

Robust sliding mode control for fractional-order chaotic economical system with parameter uncertainty and external disturbance

This paper presents a modified sliding mode control for fractional-order chaotic economical systems with parameter uncertainty and external disturbance. By constructing the suitable sliding mode surface with fractional-order integral, the effective sliding mode controller is designed to realize the asymptotical stability of fractional-order chaotic economical systems. Comparing with the existing results, the main results in this paper are more practical and rigorous. Simulation results show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed sliding mode control method.

High-resolution Load Profile Clustering Approach Based on Dynamic Largest Triangle Three Buckets and Multiscale Dynamic Warping Path Under Limited Warping Path Length

With the popularity of smart meters and the growing availability of high-resolution load data, the research on the dynamics of electricity consumption at finely resolved timescales has become increasingly popular. Many existing algorithms underperform when clustering load profiles contain a large number of feature points. In addition, it is difficult to accurately describe the similarity of profile shapes when load sequences have large fluctuations, leading to inaccurate clustering results. To this end, this paper proposes a high-resolution load profile clustering approach based on dynamic largest triangle three buckets(LTTBs) and multiscale dynamic time warping under limited warping path length(LDTW). Dynamic LTTB is a novel dimensionality reduction algorithm based on LTTB. New sequences are constructed by dynamically dividing the intervals of significant feature points. The extraction of fluctuation characteristics is optimized. New curves with more concentrated features will be applied to the subsequent clustering. The proposed multiscale LDTW is used to generate a similarity matrix for spectral clustering, providing a more comprehensive and flexible matching method to characterize the similarity of load profiles. Thus, the clustering effect of a high-resolution load profile is improved. The proposed approach has been applied to multiple datasets. Experiment results demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly improves the Davies-Bouldin indicator(DBI) and validity index(VI). Therefore, better similarity and accuracy can be achieved using high-resolution load profile clustering.

An efficient stochastic algorithm for mid-term scheduling of cascaded hydro systems

Due to the stochastic and correlated attributes of natural inflows, the mid-term generation scheduling problem for cascaded hydro systems is a very challenging *** paper proposes a novel stochastic optimization algorithm using Latin hypercube sampling and Cholesky decomposition combined with scenario bundling and sensitivity analysis(LC-SB-SA) to address this *** deal with the uncertainty of natural inflows, Latin hypercube sampling is implemented to provide an adequate number of sampling scenarios efficiently, and Cholesky decomposition is introduced to describe the correlated natural inflows among cascaded *** addition, to overcome the difficulties in solving the objectives of all the scenarios, scenario bundling and sensitivity analysis algorithms are developed to improve the computational *** results from both two-station and tenstation systems indicate that the proposed method has the merits in accuracy as well as calculation speed for the midterm cascaded hydro generation *** consideration of natural inflow correlation makes the formulated problem more realistic.
