High Accuracy Gene Signature for Chemosensitivity Prediction in Breast Cancer

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer patients with large tumor size is a necessary *** this treatment patients who achieve a pathologic Complete Response（p CR） usually have a favorable prognosis than those without. Therefore, p CR is now considered as the best prognosticator for patients with neoadjuvant chemotherapy. However, not all patients can benefit from this treatment. As a result, we need to find a way to predict what kind of patients can induce p CR. Various gene signatures of chemosensitivity in breast cancer have been identified, from which such predictors can be built. Nevertheless, many of them have their prediction accuracy around 80%. As such, identifying gene signatures that could be employed to build high accuracy predictors is a prerequisite for their clinical tests and applications. Furthermore, to elucidate the importance of each individual gene in a signature is another pressing need before such signature could be tested in clinical settings. In this study, Genetic Algorithm（GA） and Sparse Logistic Regression（SLR） along with t-test were employed to identify one signature. It had 28 probe sets selected by GA from the top 65 probe sets that were highly overexpressed between p CR and Residual Disease（RD） and was used to build an SLR predictor of p CR（SLR-28）. This predictor tested on a training set（n = 81） and validation set（n = 52） had very precise predictions measured by accuracy,specificity, sensitivity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value with their corresponding P value all zero. Furthermore, this predictor discovered 12 important genes in the 28 probe set signature. Our findings also demonstrated that the most discriminative genes measured by SLR as a group selected by GA were not necessarily those with the smallest P values by t-test as individual genes, highlighting the ability of GA to capture the interacting genes in p CR prediction as multivariate tech.iques. Real-Time Generation of Reflections in the Optimized Image Space

This paper proposes a novel imagebased method to generate real-time *** algorithm aims to solve the problem of missing reflections in previous screen space based methods *** of computing reflections in the image space decided by the current eye position,our method conducts most of the reflection calculations in a new image space,which is determined by a carefully chosen camera position at *** major criteria used to choose this optimized camera position is to make its corresponding image space contain as much as possible scene information to generate *** experimental results indicate that most of the missing reflections problems can be fixed by moving the reflection computations to this new image *** also prove that the performance gains achieved by executing computations in the new image space can cancel out most of the overhead to generate it.

Stress Wave Analysis Based Prognostic Health Management

The stress wave sensor detect and process the electronic signal of friction, mechanical shock and dynamic load on equipment moving parts, the stress wave analysis are fulfilled by using the time domain and frequency domain feature extraction software, Polynomial neural network(PNN) and data fusion tech.ology. The equipment status are quantitatively analyzed, the equipment fault are accurately predicted. Compared with the current adopted other analysis tech.ologies, the system can monitor the operation condition of the equipment better in real-time, predict the fault earlier. The production safety is guaranteed, the equipment maintenance cost is reduced, and the production efficiency is improved.

Android Malware Detection Method Based on Permission Complement and API Calls

The dynamic code loading mechanism of the Android system allows an application to load executable files externally at runtime. This mechanism makes the development of applications more convenient, but it also brings security issues. Applications that hide malicious behavior in the external file by dynamic code loading are becoming a new challenge for Android malware detection. To overcome this challenge, based on dynamic code loading mechanisms, three types of threat models,i.e. Model I, Model II, and Model III are defined. For the Model I type malware, its malicious behavior occurs in Dex Code, so the application programming interface(API)classes were used to characterize the behavior of the DexCode file. For the Model II type and Model III type malwares whose malicious behaviors occur in an external file,the permission complement is defined to characterize the behaviors of the external file. Based on permission complement and API calls, an Android malicious application detection method is proposed, of which feature sets are constructed by improving a feature selection method. Five datasets containing 15,581 samples are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The experimental results show that our detection method achieves accuracy of 99.885% on general dataset, and performes the best on all evaluation metrics on all datasets in all comparison methods.

An accurate indoor map matching algorithm based on activity detection and crowdsourced Wi-Fi

Map matching has been widely investigated in indoor pedestrian navigation to improve positioning accuracy and *** paper proposes an accurate map matching algorithm based on activity detection and crowdsourced Wi-Fi(AiFiMatch).Firstly, by taking indoor road segments between activity-related locations as nodes, and the activity type from one road segment to another as directed edge, the indoor floor plan is abstracted as a directed graph. Secondly, the smartphone’s motion sensors are utilized to detect different activities based on a decision tree and then the pedestrian’s walking trajectory is divided into subtrajectory sequence according to location-related activities. Finally, the sub-trajectory sequence is matched to the directed graph of indoor floor plan to position the pedestrian by using a Hidden Markov Model(HMM). Simultaneously, Wi-Fi fingerprints are bound to road segments based on timestamp. Through crowdsourcing, a radio map of indoor road segments is constructed. The radio map in turn inversely promotes the HMM based map matching algorithm. AiFiMatch is evaluated by the experiments using smartphones in a teaching building. Experimental results show that the pedestrian can be accurately tracked even without knowing the starting position and AiFiMatch is robust to a certain degree of step length and heading direction errors.

Two-terminal(2-T)perovskite(PVK)/CuIn(Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)tandem solar cells(TSCs)have been considered as an ideal tandem cell because of their best bandgap matching regarding to Shockley–Queisser(S–Q)***,the nature of the irregular rough morphology of commercial CIGS prevents people from improving tandem device *** this paper,D-homoserine lactone hydrochloride is proven to improve coverage of PVK materials on irregular rough CIGS surfaces and also passivate bulk defects by modulating the growth of PVK *** addition,the minority carriers near the PVK/C60 interface and the incompletely passivated trap states caused interface recombination.A surface reconstruction with 2-thiopheneethylammonium iodide and N,N-dimethylformamide assisted passivates the defect sites located at the surface and grain ***,LiF is used to create this field effect,repelling hole carriers away from the PVK and C60 interface and thus reducing *** a result,a 2-T PVK/CIGS tandem yielded a power conversion efficiency of 24.6%(0.16 cm^(2)),one of the highest results for 2-T PVK/CIGS TSCs to our *** validation underscores the potential of our methodology in achieving superior performance in PVK/CIGS tandem solar cells.

Improved insensitive to input parameters trajectory clustering algorithm

The existing trajectory clustering （TRACLUS） is sensitive to the input parameters c and MinLns. The parameter value is changed a little, but cluster results are entirely different. Aiming at this vulnerability, a shielding parameters sensitivity trajectory cluster （SPSTC） algorithm is proposed which is insensitive to the input parameters. Firstly, some definitions about the core distance and reachable distance of line segment are presented, and then the algorithm generates cluster sorting according to the core dis- tance and reachable distance. Secondly, the reachable plots of line segment sets are constructed according to the cluster sorting and reachable distance. Thirdly, a parameterized sequence is extracted according to the reachable plot, and then the final trajectory cluster based on the parameterized sequence is acquired. The parameterized sequence represents the inner cluster structure of trajectory data. Experiments on real data sets and test data sets show that the SPSTC algorithm effectively reduces the sensitivity to the input parameters, meanwhile it can obtain the better quality of the trajectory cluster.

Image watermarking capacity analysis based on Hopfield neural network

In watermarking schemes, watermarking can be viewed as a form of communication problems. Almost all of previous works on image watermarking capacity are based on information theory, using Shannon formula to calculate the capacity of watermarking. In this paper, we present a blind watermarking algorithm using Hopfield neural network, and analyze watermarking capacity based on neural network. In our watermarking algorithm, watermarking capacity is decided by attraction basin of associative memory.

Projective synchronization of a hyperchaotic system via periodically intermittent control

We further study the projective synchronization of a new hyperchaotic system. Different from the most existing methods, intermittent control is applied to chaotic synchronization in the present paper. We formulate the intermittent control system that governs the dynamics of the projective synchronization error, then derive the sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of intermittent control system by using the Lyapunov stability theory, and finally establish the periodically intermittent controller according to the stability criterion by which the projective synchronization is expected to be achieved. The analytical results are also demonstrated by several numerical simulations.

A Posture Recognition System for Rat Cyborg Automated Navigation

Rat cyborg is a rat which can receive cerebral commands and act as human wants. The navigation task is a widely used scenario in which the rat cyborg is required to walk along a specified path according to commands. Mostly the commands are given by human operators, but there’s a need for automatic control which is quite challenging since several modules need to be elaborately combined together to work as a whole, among which the monitoring system and the commands model are two major components. Previously, few attempts were made for behavior monitoring of rat cyborg. Existing works often implement an over-simple rat information extractor which is capable of giving only a few parameters of the rat cyborg, which greatly limited the performance of their automatic control accuracy. In response to this requirement,we develop a monitoring system that is capable of giving detailed motion parameters and accurate body postures of the rat cyborg. We explore the possibility of recognizing rat postures using shape information, which is described by the powerful Zernike moments. We propose several simple shape descriptors which are fast to compute and achieve acceptable performance.
