In this study, we attempt to prepare a new blending system of poly（vinylidene fluoride）（PVDF） and aliphatic polyketone （POK） by melt compounding, The latter is a promising engineering plastic with comprehensive mechanical performances. When POK acted as minor phase to homogeneously disperse in and intimately contact with PVDF matrix, the brittle tensile behavior of neat PVDF transferred into a remarkably flexible manner （the elongation at break increased for 20 times）, and more interestingly, the room- temperature durability of β-form PVDF in the uniaxially drawn blend film was obviously better than that in the neat PVDF film. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy revealed that specific dipole interaction existed between CF2 group of PVDF and C=O group of POK. The intermolecular dipolar interaction induced good compatibility in the PVDF/POK blends, as evidently proved by fine two-phase morphology and decreased melting points of POK crystals. Therefore, the good compatibility and interracial enhancement are responsible for the improvement of the stretch ductility and β-form room-temperature durability of the PVDF/POK blends.

Hot deformation behavior of KFC copper alloy during compression at elevated temperatures

The hot deformation behavior of a KFC copper alloy was studied by compression deformation tests on Gleeble 1500 machine at strain rates ranging between 0.01?10 s?1 and deformation temperature of 650?850 ℃, and associated structural changes were studied by observations of metallography and TEM. The results show that the true stress–true strain curves for a KFC copper alloy are characterized by multiple peaks or a single peak flow, and tend to a steady state at high strains. The peak stress can be represented by a Zener-Hollomon parameter in the hyperbolic-sine-type equation with the hot deformation activation energy Q of 289 kJ/mol. The dynamic recrystallization(DRX) occurs by bulging out of part serrated grain-boundary, and the dynamic recrystallization grain size is dependent sensitively on deformation temperature T and strain rate ε&, also a function of Z. The dynamic spherical Fe-rich precipitates and successive dynamic particles coarsening has been assumed to be responsible for flow softening at high strains, and this is more effective when samples deformed at low temperatures and higher strain rates.

Wearable electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding fabrics with excellent electromagnetic shielding performance,oxidation resistance,and structural stability are highly demanded for the rapid development of electronic devices and wireless *** are metallic conductive materials with exceptional EMI shielding properties,but they are prone to oxidation in air and have poor structural stability and durability on fabric ***,we present a one-step assembly method to fabricate fabrics coated with MXenes and polymeric sodium alginate(SA)composite(MXene-SA).SA protects MXenes from oxidation and forms a stable interlayer structure by bonding to *** MXene-SA coated fabrics are breathable and flexible,and have a low sheet resistance of 2.12±0.08Ω/sq and a high EMI shielding performance of 37.05 dB at X-band,which is comparable to the best 42.31 ***,the MXene-SA coated fabrics exhibit high structural stability and oxidation resistance under various conditions of sonication disintegration,mechanical abuse,chemical corrosion,and humidity,compared to pure MXenes coated *** believe that the wearable and high-performance MXene-SA fabrics have great potential for the next generation of ultra-portable and wearable EMI shielding products.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) have attracted significant attentions because of low cost and high reliability. However, conventional ZIBs are severely limited by the development of high energy density cathode materials with reversible Zn^(2+)insertion/extraction. Herein, a conducting polymer intercalated MoO_(3)(PMO) with extensively extended interlayer spacing is developed as a high-performance ZIBs cathode material. The interlayer spacing of PMO is prominently increased which results in an improved Zn^(2+)mobility during charge and discharge process. More significantly, the electrochemical results reveals that the intercalation of PANI facilitates the charge storage and reinforces the layered structure of MoO_(3), leading to a high capacity and good cycling stability. DFT calculation further reveals the intercalation of PANI into MoO_(3)significantly lower Zn^(2+)diffusion barrier. Benefit from these advantages, the ZIBs based on PMO electrode delivers a considerable capacity of 157 m Ah/g at 0.5 A/g and ameliorative stability with 63.4%capacity retention after 1000 cycles.

Strain-rate frequency superposition(SRFS) is often employed to probe the low-frequency behavior of soft solids under oscillatory shear in anticipated linear response. However, physical interpretation of an apparently well-overlapped master curve generated by SRFS has to combine with nonlinear analysis techniques such as Fourier transform rheology and stress decomposition method. The benefit of SRFS is discarded when some inconsistencies of the shifted master curves with the canonical linear response are observed. In this work, instead of evaluating the SRFS in full master curves, two criteria were proposed to decompose the original SRFS data and to delete the bad experimental data. Application to Carabopol suspensions indicates that good master curves could be constructed based upon the modified data and the high-frequency deviations often observed in original SRFS master curves are eliminated. The modified SRFS data also enable a better quantitative description and the evaluation of the apparent structural relaxation time by the two-mode fractional Maxwell model.

Novel MOF shell-derived surface modification of Li-rich layered oxide cathode for enhanced lithium storage

Li-rich layered oxide materials have attracted increasing attention because of their high specific capacity(>250 mAh g^(-1)). However, these materials typically suffer from poor cycling stability and low rate performance. Herein, we propose a facile and novel metal-organic-framework(MOF) shell-derived surface modification strategy to construct NiCo nanodots decorated(~5 nm in diameter) carbon-confined Li_(1.2)Mn_(0.54) Ni_(0.13)Co_(0.13)O_2 nanoparticles(LLO@C&NiCo). The MOF shell is firstly formed on the surface of as-prepared Li_(1.2)Mn_(0.54)Ni_(0.13)Co_(0.13)O_2 nanoparticles via low-pressure vapor superassembly and then is in situ converted to the NiCo nanodots decorated carbon shell after subsequent controlled *** obtained LLO@C&NiCo cathode exhibits enhanced cycling and rate capability with a capacity retention of 95% after 100 cycles at 0.4 C and a high capacity of 159 mAh g^(-1) at 5 C, respectively, compared with those of LLO(75% and 105 mAh g^(-1)). The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and selected area electron diffraction analyses after cycling demonstrate that the thin C&NiCo shell can endow LLO with high electronic conductivity and structural stability, indicating the undesired formation of the spinel phase initiated from the particle surface is efficiently suppressed. Therefore, this presented strategy may open a new avenue on the design of high-performance electrode materials for energy storage.
