The new title compound （2E,6E）-2,6-bis（2,3-dimethoxybenzylidene）cyclohexanone （C 24 H 26 O 5,M r=394.45） has been synthesized,and its crystal structure was *** title compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic system,space group Pca2 1 with a=17.536（2）,b=14.8515（16）,c=8.0512（9）,V=2096.8（4） 3,Z=4,D c=1.250 g/cm 3,λ=0.71073,μ=0.087 mm-1 and F（000）=*** structure was solved by direct methods and refined to R=0.0533 and wR=0.1248 from 2727 observed reflections （I 2σ（Ⅰ））.The title molecules are connected through hydrogen bonds to generate a 3-D *** preliminary biological tests showed definitely biological activity for the title compound.

Based on the antiplatelet aggregation mechanism and the bioisosterism principle of the reference drug picotamide, thirteen novel derivatives of arylamide and arylsulfonamide were designed and prepared. The biological activities of these derivatives were investigated. The chemical structures of the target compounds were confirmed by ^1H NMR and IR. The in vitro activities of antiplatelet aggregation of the thirteen target compounds were assessed by Bore＇s method. Compounds 2b and 8h have significant antiplatelet aggregation activities, which are superior to the corresponding activity of Picotamide.

Compared with conventional cylinder airlift bioreactors(CCABs)that produce coarse bubbles,a novel rectangular dynamic membrane airlift bioreactor(RDMAB)developed in our lab produces fine bubbles to enhance the volumetric oxygen mass transfer coefficient(k_(L)a)and gas holdup,as well as improve the bioprocess in a *** this study,we compared mass transfer,gas holdup,and batch and con-tinuous fermentation for RNA production in CCAB and *** addition,unstructured kinetic models for microbial growth,substrate utilization,and RNA formation were *** batch fermentation,biomass,RNA yield,and substrate utilization in the RDMAB were higher than those in the CCAB,which indicates that dynamic membrane aeration produced a high k_(L)a by fine bubbles;a higher k_(L)a is more bene-ficial to aerobic *** starting time of continuous fermentation in the RDMAB was 20 h ear-lier than that in the CCAB,which greatly improved the biological *** continuous fermentation,maintaining the same dissolved oxygen level and a constant dilution rate,the biomass accumulation and RNA concentration in the RDMAB were 9.71% and 11.15% higher than those in the CCAB,***,the dilution rate of RDMAB was 16.7% higher than that of CCAB during con-tinuous fermentation while maintaining the same air *** summary,RDMAB is more suitable for continuous fermentation *** new aeration and structural geometry in airlift bioreac-tors to enhance k_(L)a and gas holdup is becoming increasingly important to improve bioprocesses in a bioreactor.

Objective： To test the antioxidant, antidiabetic, anticancer and antibacterial activities along with phytochemicals of Sonneratia apetala Buch.-Ham. Methods： The antibacterial activity was determined by agar well diffusion method. The antioxidant activity was determined by standard assay. The antidiabetic activity was evaluated by α-glucosidase inhibition assay and in vivo anticancer property was determined against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma （EAC） cells in Swiss Albino mice. Further partial characterization of the methanol extracts was carried out by thin layer chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and Fourier transform-infra red spectrum spectral analysis. Results： Four solvent extracts （acetone, ethanol, methanol and aqueous） of leaf and bark possess strong antioxidant properties. In vivo anticancer activity of methanol extract leaf indicated positive activity showing 34% inhibition against EAC cells in Swiss Albino mice. All extracts exhibited a-glucosidase inhibitory activity in a dose-dependent manner indicating presence of promising antidiabetic properties. The extracts possess strong antibacterial activity against the selected pathogenic bacteria （minimal inhibitory concentration ranging from 1.25-5.00 mg/mL）. The partial characterization of the methanol extracts of leaf and bark revealed the presence of phenolics as the lead compound responsible for studied bioactivities of the plant extracts. Conclusion： Sonneratia apetala extracts have potent antibacterial, antioxidant, antidiabetic and anticancer properties which can be further exploited for its pharmaceutical applications.

The crystal structure of the title compound （Z）-5-fluoro-3-（phenyl（（5-（pyridin-3- ylmethyl）thiophen-2-yl）amino）methylene） indolin-2-one （C25H18FN3OS, Mr = 427.50） has been prepared and determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 5.931（1）, b = 12.413（1）, c = 28.102（2） A, V= 2090.4（3） A3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.358 g/cm3, F（000） = 888, μ= 0.186 mm-1, MoKa radiation （2 = 0.71073）, R = 0.041 and wR = 0.105 for 4567 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the indole and thiophene rings are not coplanar with a dihedral angle of 46.26（5）°. Intramolecular and intermolecular N-H＇..O hydrogen bonds together with C-H...π interations can be observed in the lattice.

AIM: To study the chemical constituents of the rhizomes of Alpinia officinarum Hance. METHOD: Compounds were isolated by repeated column chromatography, and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis. The cytotoxic activities of these compounds were evaluated with the T98G and B16F10 cell lines by the MTT assay. RESULTS: A dimeric diarylheptanoid, named alpinin B(1), along with three known diarylheptanoids were obtained, and their structures were identified as alpinin B(1), 1, 7-diphenyl-3,5-heptanedione(2),(4E)-1, 7-diphenylhept-4-en-3-one(3) and(4E)-7-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-phenylhept-4-en-3-one(4). CONCLUSION: Compound 1 is a new dimeric diarylheptanoid. The biosynthetic pathway of 1 was speculated to originate from a Michael reaction between compounds 2 and 3. Compound 3 showed cytotoxicity against the human glioblastoma T98G cell line with IC50 of 27 μmol L 1.

Recyclable polymers offer a great opportunity to address the environmental issues of ***,functionalization of recyclable polymers,poly((R)-3,4-trans six-membered ring-fused GBL)(P((R)-M)),were reported via end-group modifications and block/random ***-n-butylmagnesium was selected to catalyze ring-opening polymerization(ROP)of(R)-M in the presence of a series of functional alcohols as the ***/random copolymerizations of(R)-M andε-caprolactone(ε-CL),L-lactide(L-LA)and trimethylene carbonate(TMC)were performed to control the onset decomposition temperature(T_(d)),melting temperature(T_(m))and glass transition temperature(T_(g)).These functionalized recyclable polymers would find broad applications as the sustainable plastics.

Calix[4]arene derivatives have been reported to possess high selectivity for metal *** order to analyze the extraction effect of substituents on Hg^(2+)and Pb^(2+),calix[4]arene derivatives containing hydroxyl,bromoethoxy and 1,11-dioxa-4,8-dithiahendecene were successfully synthesized,with their extraction effectiveness towards Hg^(2+)and Pb^(2+)were evaluated *** results indicated that the phenolic hydroxyl in calix[4]arene improved the extraction ability on Hg^(2+)by promoting the formation of the negative oxygen ions that could bind with Hg^(2+)by coordination and ionic *** extraction ability of 5,17-dinitro-26,28-(1’,11’-dioxa-4’,8’-dithiahendecene)-calix[4]arene(calix[4]arene thia derivative)was improved slightly due to the better coordination capacity for metal ions after introduction of 1,11-dioxa-4,8-dithiahendecene,which was a chelate-binding *** to Pb^(2+),only 1,11-dioxa-4,8-dithiahendecene on molecule contributed to extraction due to the coordination *** the metal ion with higher charge-to-radius ratio could coordinate with one ligand more stably,Pb^(2+)with higher charge-to-radius ratio than Hg^(2+)was coordinated and extracted by the calix[4]arene thia derivative more ***,extraction rates of the calix[4]arene thia derivative on both ions(Hg^(2+)and Pb^(2+))increased with the increase of pH value in acidic aqueous system(pH<7).

CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 can inhibit ferroptosis,which has been associated with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion,in individuals with head and neck ***,CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 may be implicated in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** validate this hypothesis in the present study,we established mouse models of occlusion of the middle cerebral artery and HT22 cell models of oxygen-glucose deprivation and reoxygenation to mimic cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in vivo and in vitro,*** found remarkably decreased CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 expression in the mouse brain tissue and HT22 *** we used adeno-associated virus and plasmid to up-regulate CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 expression in the brain tissue and HT22 cell models separately,mouse neurological dysfunction was greatly improved;the cerebral infarct volume was reduced;the survival rate of HT22 cells was increased;HT22 cell injury was alleviated;the expression of ferroptosis-related glutathione peroxidase 4,cystine-glutamate antiporter,and glutathione was increased;the levels of malondialdehyde,iron ions,and the expression of transferrin receptor 1 were decreased;and the expression of nuclear-factor E2-related factor 2/heme oxygenase 1 was *** of CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 upregulation via the nuclear-factor E2-related factor 2 inhibitor ML385 in oxygen-glucose deprived and reoxygenated HT22 cells blocked the neuroprotective effects of CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 up-regulation and the activation of the nuclear-factor E2-related factor 2/heme oxygenase 1 *** data indicate that the up-regulation of CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 can attenuate cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury,thus providing theoretical support from the perspectives of cytology and experimental zoology for the use of this protein as a therapeutic target in patients with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.
