Compressive property and energy absorption characteristic of interconnected porous Mg-Zn-Y alloys with adjusting Y addition

In this study,interconnected porous Mg-2Zn-xY alloys with different phase compositions were prepared by various Y additions(x=0.4,3,and 6 wt.%)to adjust the compressive properties and energy absorption *** characterization methods were then applied to identify the microstructure of the porous Mg-Zn-Y and describe the details of the second *** tests were performed at room temperature(RT),200℃,and 300℃to study the impact of the Y addition and testing temperature on the compressive properties of the porous *** experimental results showed that a high Y content promotes a microstructure refinement and increases the volume fraction of the second *** the Y content increases,different Mg-Zn-Y ternary phases appear:I-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(6)Y),W-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(3)Y_(2)),and LPSO phase(Mg_(12)ZnY).When the Y content ranges between 0.4%and 6%,the compressive strength increases from 6.30MPa to 9.23 MPa,and the energy absorption capacity increases from 7.33 MJ/m^(3)to 10.97 MJ/m^(3)at RT,which is mainly attributed to the phase composition and volume fraction of the second ***,the average energy absorption efficiency is independent of the Y *** addition,the compressive deformation behaviors of the porous Mg-Zn-Y are altered by the testing *** compressive strength and energy absorption capacity of the porous Mg-Zn-Y decrease due to the softening effect of the high temperature on the *** deformation behaviors at different temperatures are finally observed to reflect the failure mechanisms of the struts.

Photocatalytic aerobic oxidation desulfurization(PAODS)is a promising and sustainable alternative to conventional,energyintensive desulfurization techniques for petroleum ***,its development is greatly plagued by the low capability in generating highly reactive oxygen species and sluggish kinetics of sulfide oxidation of reported *** we report a class of MoO_(x)nanocluster decorated on ultrathin Mo-doped TiO_(2)nanosheet(MoO_(x)/MoTiO)catalyst for efficiently facilitating the photocatalytic aerobic oxidation of *** demonstrate that MoO_(x)/MoTiO can not only promote the generation of highly reactive singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))but also enhance the aerobic conversion of sulfides,which leads to a record dibenzothiophene oxidation activity of 3.90 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1).The multiple experimental characterizations and density functional theory calculations collectively reveal that the doped-Mo sites can interact with the photogenerated excitons,enabling directly energy transfer generation of^(1)O_(2)through a new exciton modulation mechanism,and the coordination unsaturated MoO_(x)clusters play the role of co-catalyst to enhance the separation of charge carriers,and effectively catalyze the reaction between sulfides and1O_(2)to form sulfones.

Supplementation with dimethylglycine sodium salt improves lipid metabolism disorder in intrauterine growth-retarded pigs

This study aims to elucidate the mechanism of lipid metabolism disorder in intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR)pigs and the potential alleviating effects of dimethylglycine sodium salt(DMG-Na).A total of 60 male newborn piglets were selected for this *** each litter,one normal birth weight(NBW)male piglet(1.53±0.04 kg)and two IUGR male piglets(0.76±0.06 kg)were chosen based on their birth *** piglets were divided into three groups for the study:NBW pigs received a PBS gavage and a common basal diet(NBW-C group),IUGR pigs received the same PBS gavage and common basal diet(IUGR-C group),and IUGR pigs received a 70-mg DMG-Na gavage along with a common basal diet supplemented with 0.1%DMG-Na(IUGR-D group).At 150 d of age,all piglets underwent euthanasia by exsanguination following electrical stunning,after which plasma,liver,and longissimus dorsi(LM)samples were promptly *** IUGR-D group demonstrated improvements in plasma parameters(P<0.05),with lower triglyceride and free fatty acid(FFA)values,and hormone levels(P<0.05),with lower growth hormone,insulin,and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance *** of lipid metabolism was observed(P<0.05),with lower triglyceride and FFA,and higher hepatic lipase and total lipase values in the liver,and lower triglyceride and FFA values in the *** ETC complexes showed increased levels(P<0.05),including higher complex III values in the liver,and higher complex I,complex III,and complex V values in the *** levels of energy metabolites were noted(P<0.05),with higher NAD^(+),NAD^(+)/NADH,adenosine triphosphate,and mtDNA values,and lower NADH values in the liver and ***,meat quality parameters showed improvement(P<0.05),with higher pH 24 h and a^(*)values,and lower drip loss 48 h,L^(*),and b^(*)*** expressions of lipid metabolism and mitochondrial function-related genes and proteins were upregulated(P<0.05)compared to the IUGR-C *** conclusio

MOF-derived porous graphitic carbon with optimized plateau capacity and rate capability for high performance lithium-ion capacitors

The development of anode materials with high rate capability and long charge-discharge plateau is the key to improve per-formance of lithium-ion capacitors(LICs).Herein,the porous graphitic carbon(PGC-1300)derived from a new triply interpenetrated co-balt metal-organic framework(Co-MOF)was prepared through the facile and robust carbonization at 1300°C and washing by HCl *** as-prepared PGC-1300 featured an optimized graphitization degree and porous framework,which not only contributes to high plateau capacity(105.0 mAh·g^(−1)below 0.2 V at 0.05 A·g^(−1)),but also supplies more convenient pathways for ions and increases the rate capability(128.5 mAh·g^(−1)at 3.2 A·g^(−1)).According to the kinetics analyses,it can be found that diffusion regulated surface induced capa-citive process and Li-ions intercalation process are coexisted for lithium-ion ***,LIC PGC-1300//AC constructed with pre-lithiated PGC-1300 anode and activated carbon(AC)cathode exhibited an increased energy density of 102.8 Wh·kg^(−1),a power dens-ity of 6017.1 W·kg^(−1),together with the excellent cyclic stability(91.6%retention after 10000 cycles at 1.0 A·g^(−1)).

Performance Study of a Novel Ejector-Cascade Refrigeration System with Regenerator

In this paper,a novel NH_(3)/CO_(2)ejector-cascade refrigeration system with regenerator is proposed,which can recycle the waste heat at the outlet of the *** establishing the mathematical model of the system,the theoretical energy and exergy analysis are carried out and compared with the conventional cascade refrigeration *** is concluded that compared with the conventional cascade refrigeration system,the novel ejector-cascade refrigeration system with regenerator has the advantages of less power consumption of the compressor,less component exergy destruction,high system performance,and is more suitable for working at a lower *** the working conditions studied in this paper,compared with the conventional cascade refrigeration system,the COP of the novel ejector-cascade refrigeration system with regenerator is increased by9.58%;the exergy efficiency is increased by 9.50%,and the optimal evaporation temperature is about-45℃.

Inhibited superoxide-induced halide oxidation with a bioactive factor for stabilized inorganic perovskite solar cells

Active oxygen highly affects the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)owing to the capacity to either passivate defects or decompose perovskite *** better understand the in-depth interaction,we demonstrate for the first time that photooxidation mechanism in all-inorganic perovskite film dominates the phase deterioration kinetics by forming superoxide species in the presence of light and oxygen,which is significantly different from that in organic-inorganic hybrid and even tin-based *** all-inorganic perovskites,the superox-ide species prefer to oxidize longer and weaker Pb-I bond to PbO and I_(2),leaving the much stable CsPbBr_(3) *** this chemical proof-of-concept,we employ an organic bioactive factor,Tanshinone IIA,as a superoxide sweeper to enhance the environmental tolerance of inorganic perovskite,serving as a“skincare”agent for anti-aging *** with another key point on healing defective lattice,the best carbon-based all-inorganic CsPbI_(2)Br solar cell delivers an efficiency as high as 15.12%and superior stability against oxygen,light,humid-ity,and heat *** method is also applicable to enhance the efficiency of p-i-n inverted(Cs_(0.05)MA_(0.05)FA_(0.9))Pb(I_(0.93)Br_(0.07))_(3)cell to 23.46%.These findings not only help us understand the perovskite decomposition mechanisms in depth but also provide a potential strategy for advanced PSC platforms.

Potassium alleviated high nitrogen-induced apple growth inhibition by regulating photosynthetic nitrogen allocation and enhancing nitrogen utilization capacity

There is a close relationship between potassium(K)and nitrogen(N).However,the roles of K under high N conditions remain *** a hydroponics approach,we monitored the morphological,physiological,and molecular changes in M9T337 apple(Malus domestica)rootstocks under different nitrate(10 and 30 mmol·L^(-1)NO_(3)^(-))and K supply(0.5,6,10,and 20 mmol·L_(-1)K^(+))*** revealed that high nitrate inhibited the root growth of M9T337 rootstocks,downregulated the expressions of K transporter genes(MdPT5,MdHKT1,and MdATK1),and reduced the net NO3-and K+influx at the surface of roots,thereby resulting in an N/K imbalance in *** investigation showed that 10 mmol·L^(-1)K increased the activity of N metabolic enzymes(NR,GS,NiR,and GOGAT),upregulated the expressions of genes related to nitrate uptake and transport(MdNRT1.1,MdNRT1.2,MdNRT1.5,and MdNRT2.4),promoted15N transport from the roots to the shoots,optimized leaf N distribution,and improved photosynthetic N utilization efficiency under high nitrate *** results suggest that the negative effects of high nitrate may be related to the N/K imbalance and that reducing N/K in plants by increasing K supply level can effectively alleviate the inhibition of N assimilation by high nitrate stress.

Enhanced bright green luminescence from GdOF:Ho^(3+) up-conversion phosphor via Yb^(3+) doping

In this paper,a series of GdOF-based green phosphors doped with Ho^(3+) and Yb^(3+) ions was prepared by a simple co-precipitation *** crystal structure s and optical prope rties were investigated in *** intensity of the emission of GdOF:Yb^(3+),Ho^(3+) phosphors is enhanced by the effective energy transfer from Yb^(3+) to Ho^(3+),and the optimal luminescence is achieved with the Ho^(3+)doping amount of 0.1 mol%as well as Yb^(3+) doping amount of 5 mol%.Tunable UC emission of samples is achieved by adjusting the doping concentration of Ho^(3+) or Yb^(3+).The purity of the green UC emission is further improved by enhancing the excitation pumping *** addition,logarithmic functions of green,red and nearinfrared radiation intensities were calculated versus logarithmic function of pump power for further study.A possible UC luminescence mechanism between Yb^(3+) and Ho^(3+) is discussed based on powerdependent UC luminescence spectrum and decay *** results suggest that GdOF:Yb^(3+),Ho^(3+)phosphors with bright and high-purity green UC emission have potential applications in the fields of bioimaging,display and illumination.
