Acculturation and translation:Modern architectural heritage of Zhongshan Park in Xiamen from typological perspective

The modern architectural heritage is the core carrier of city’s historical inheritance and *** value is related to the spatial and temporal evolution of the urban landscape,along with the collective memory of society and transformation in public *** contradiction between high-speed urban construction and architectural heritage preservation has proliferated,and the problems of loss of heritage culture and fading of relics are very significant,but there is a lack of research on modern architectural *** study analysed indepth the artistic archetypes and evolutionary characteristics of the architecture of Zhongshan Park in Xiamen through field research and historical data collation,adopting the theory method of architectural ***,we analysed the architectural typology of Zhongshan Park in Xiamen and the process of acculturation and translation with foreign cultures,explored the motives of its formation and the cultural meanings of the public space embodied in *** on this,we proposed a sustainable development heritage approach for the modern architectural heritage of Zhongshan Park in *** results indicate that modern architectural art has inherited classical Chinese historical and cultural traditions and ideological *** unique characteristics reflect the spirit of the times and result from the gradual development of Western ***,it embodies a strong sense of national *** findings enrich the academic research on the cultural interaction between Chinese and Western architecture,offering valuable insights for the conservation and living heritage of modern architectural heritage in other regions.

Perception beyond sight:Investigating the cognitive maps of congenitally blind individuals in urban environments

This study explores the challenges faced by congenitally blind individuals in navigating urban ***,this research investigates the factors that contribute to the construction of city mental mapping for individuals who are born ***-one congenitally blind individuals from the University of Jordan were asked to define and describe specific elements of the city based on their personal experiences and ***,participants were guided through two urban paths:familiar and *** participants were asked to complete a survey regarding their experiences during the *** collected data was analyzed by using thematic *** results revealed that congenitally blind individuals construct their mental image of the city by using their three senses of touching,hearing,and smelling,as well as their safety and *** mental image consists of five key elements:links,reference points,areas,separators,and *** the small size of the study sample and the specificity of the context,the results of this study will tremendously help planners in designing highly inclusive urban *** characteristics that can be recognized by the blinds will enhance their accessibility of urban spaces,encourage independent mobility,increase the quality of life and social inclusion for them.

Composite Recommendation of artworks in E-Commerce Based on User Keyword-Driven Correlation Graph Search

With the ever-increasing diversification of people’s interests and preferences,artwork has become one of the most popular commodities or investment goods in E-commerce,and it increasingly attracts the attention of the ***,many real-world or virtual artworks can be found in E-commerce,and finding a means to recommend them to appropriate users has become a significant task to alleviate the heavy burden on artwork selection decisions by *** research mainly studies the problem of single-artwork recommendation while neglecting the more practical but more complex composite recommendation of artworks in E-commerce,which considerably influences the quality of experience of potential users,especially when they need to select a set of artworks instead of a single *** by this limitation,we put forward a novel composite recommendation approach to artworks by a user keyword-driven correlation graph search named art_(com-rec).Through art_(com-rec),the recommender system can output a set of artworks(e.g.,an artwork composite solution)in E-commerce by considering the keywords typed by a user to indicate his or her personalized ***,we validate the feasibility of the art_(com-rec) approach by a set of simulated experiments on a real-world PW dataset.

Vibration properties of Paulownia wood for Ruan sound quality using machine learning methods

As an important material for manufacturing resonant components of musical instruments,Paulownia has an important influence on the sound quality of *** this paper,a model for evaluating the sound quality of Ruan based on the vibration characteristics of wood is developed using machine learning ***,the selection of materials for Ruan manufacturing relies primarily on manually weighing,observing,striking,and listening by the instrument *** in scientific theory have hindered the quality of the finished *** this study,nine Ruans were manufactured,and a prediction model of Ruan sound quality was proposed based on the raw material information of *** of a total of 180 data sets,145 and 45 sets were chosen for training and validation,*** this paper,typical correlation analysis was used to determine the correlation between two single indicators in two adjacent pairwise combinations of the measured objects in each stage of the production process in *** vibra-tion characteristics of the wood were tested,and a model for predicting the evaluation of Ruan’s acoustic qualities was developed by measuring the vibration characteristics of the resonating plate *** acoustic quality of the Ruan sound board wood was evaluated and predicted using machine learning model generalized regression neural *** results show that the prediction of Ruan sound quality can be achieved using Matlab simulation based on the vibration characteristics of the soundboard *** the model-predicted values were compared with the tradi-tional predicted results,it was found that the generalized regression neural network had good performance,achieving an accuracy of 93.8%which was highly consistent with the experimental *** was concluded that the model can accurately predict the acoustic quality of the Ruan based on the vibration performance of the soundboards.

Parking choice behaviour analysis of rural residents based on the latent variable random forest model

The imbalance of rural parking supply and demand has a great impact on traffic congestion and environmental pollution,which has attracted the attention of many scholars as well as ***,most of the current research on parking choice focuses on urban business and residential areas rather than on rural parking choice behaviour,and focuses on the analysis of observable factors,ignoring the internal relationship with potential *** study considers the heterogeneity of individuals and uses the random forest(RF)algorithm to construct a model of rural residents’willingness to choose parking with both latent and explicit variables,to explore how much and in what ways individual characteristics and parking characteristics affect rural residents’parking choices,and to explore parking planning programmes and strategies that are truly applicable to rural *** results of the study suggest that the safety and convenience of the parking environment are key factors influencing the parking choice behaviour of rural residents,and can greatly improve the predictive accuracy of the parking willingness *** comparison,it is found that the application of the RF algorithm is also significantly better than the logit model in terms of prediction effect,indicating that there is a nonlinear effect among the factors influencing the parking choice behaviour of rural residents and that the RF model with the addition of latent variables provides a better explanatory ability for the study of the parking choice behaviour of rural residents.

A Novel Methodology for Measuring Individual-level Travel Regularity: A Joint Time-space-frequency Perspective

Individual travel behaviors demonstrate a degree of regularity， particularly concerning time， space， and frequency repetition. Measuring the regularity of individual travel behavior contributes to understanding variations among individuals and provides opportunities for personalized transportation services. However， previous measurement methods have not comprehensively addressed these three aspects simultaneously or sufficiently captured the repetition of "basic travel behaviors"， while also relying on diverse data types without a comprehensive methodology covering multiple datasets. To address these research gaps， this paper presents an innovative method for measuring the regularity of individual users， which considers the repetition of basic travel behaviors along with temporal， spatial， and frequency dimensions. Applying this method to historical trip data from bike-sharing and subway systems has illustrated the effectiveness and applicability of the approach proposed in this paper. The findings suggest the broad applicability of this method across various data types， provided that the data allows for the extraction of information regarding users' travel origins and destinations. Moreover， this method effectively produces a regularity value to assess and compare the overall regularity of users， surpassing previous limitations that solely relied on using frequency as an initial filter or distinguishing users as regular or irregular based solely on frequency thresholds.

Biobased Furfurylated Poplar Wood for Flame-Retardant Modification with Boric Acid and Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate

Furfurylated wood exhibits excellent dimensional stability and corrosion resistance,making it a promising material for constructing buildings,but it is highly ***,flame-retardant furfurylated poplar wood was produced via a two-step process utilizing boric acid(BA)and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate(ADP)as flame-retardant components,and biomass-derived furfuryl alcohol(FA)as a *** acidity of BA and ADP allowed them to catalyze the polymerization of FA,which formed a cross-linked network that immobilized BA and ADP inside the *** addition of BA/ADP substantially delayed the time to ignition from 10 to 385 s and reduced the total heat release and total smoke release by 58.75%and 77.31%,*** of the pyrolysis process showed that the decomposition products of BA and ADP protected the underlying furfurylated wood and diluted combustible *** method significantly improved the fire retardancy and smokeless properties of furfurylated wood,providing promising prospects for its application as an engineering material.

Bazaars are considered essential components of a society’s economy and significant features in the urban context of cities,which have emerged based on exchanging goods and meeting people’s *** the late Qajar period,amidst the rapid changes resulting from interaction with modernization,the form of Tabriz Grand Bazaar has undergone significant *** research aims to explain the contemporary transformations of marketplace form in the leather and shoe *** objectives aim to elucidate the contemporary physical,functional,and sementic changes and propose *** research method is qualitative,with a phenomenological *** results indicate that the Bazaar has lost some physical and sementic *** providing goods,it has failed to meet the public’s demands because of eliminating production workshops by changing the productive function to service-oriented and the size and shape of *** decline of religious activities is also one reason for the diminished sementic *** functional and physical aspects,some proposed solutions include preserving the authenticity of the spaces and utilizing suitable Functions with the dominant architectural *** sementic characteristics,suggestions include enhancing the sense of identity.

Geometric investigation of entrance proportions of houses from the Qajar to the beginning of the early Pahlavi in Dezful City(1789—1979)

Due to the importance of the historical context of Dezful City,investigating historic buildings is *** unfortunately,a large part of it is being *** this reason,it is essential to discover the guidelines and logic behind the architectural design of these buildings to help their reconstruction or ***,there is no logical information about the components of this context and the reconstructions are usually done according to taste and based on architecture tested or personal ***,it is necessary to find a logic behind these critical components that support the whole plan or parts of it in a particular *** purpose of this research is to discover and find the logic behind the design of this building in the historical context of *** geometrical proportions can significantly help to reconstruct buildings better and more *** this purpose,30 historical houses of Dezful were randomly selected,and their input information was drawn in 2D form in ***,the length,width,and height proportions were measured,and the obtained ratios were compared with the golden proportions and dynamic *** paper studies entrance based on ratios of√2,√3,√4,√4,√1.25 andφ(the golden section).The results show that golden proportions and proportions derived from dynamic rectangles are present in the wording of all ***,the range of ratios in the plan is from 1.34 to 2,and the content of changes in the section is from 1.22 to *** results can help architects,and particularly building owners,to reconstruct based on existing logic by discovering the proportions of the entrances of the *** is possible to administer a part of the damaged tissue and estimate its dimensions and sizes because the proportions’completeness can help revive half-destroyed historical buildings.
