Effects of typical karst tourist town on the Lijiang River water: from heavy metals to N-nitrosamines

N-nitrosamines are nitrogenous organic pollutants with high carcinogenicity to human. Heavy metal pollution in aquatic system is currently a major environmental problem. Tourism in typical karst areas may influence the environment through wastewater discharge. However， it remains unclear whether these activities would cause water pollution. To evaluate the impact of tourism activities in typical tourist towns， this study investigated the occurrence and sources of 18 N-nitrosamines， eight heavy metals （HMs）， and dissolved inorganic nitrogen （DIN） in the Lijiang River and its tributaries. Seven N-nitrosamines were detected as the dominant compounds in N-nitroso-N-ethylaniline （NEA， average of 24.8 ng/L） and N-nitroso-l-proline （NPRO， 20.4 ng/L）， while especially low concentrations of HMs （Mn， Cu， As， Ni， Cr， Co， Pb， and Cd） and DIN (NH4+-N， NO2--N， and NO3--N) were observed. The most important influencing factors were seasonal factors， followed by land-use type and mainstem and tributary factors. Principal component analysis revealed that in the city with developed tourism and relatively less heavy industry， aquaculture and agricultural wastewater were identified as the primary sources of N-nitrosamines. Meanwhile， domestic sewage and agricultural wastewater were found to be the main sources of HMs and DIN， respectively. The ecological risk assessments for all pollutants are relatively low （< 1）. Therefore， N-nitrosamines， HMs， and DIN pollution caused by tourist activities pose a negligible risk to the Lijiang River.

The Distribution of Surnames in Xiantao City through Isonymy

The population migration in Hubei Province was frequent in history,accompanied by the migration of surnames,so it is important to study their population *** take Xiantao City as an example to explore the isonymic structure of small and medium-sized cities in *** surname distributions of 223327 residents registered in 2013 were analyzed in 5 towns and 105 villages of *** number of different surnames found was *** for surnames,theα-value reflects the influence of ethnic composition on the abundance of *** correlation between the isonymic distance and the geographic distance between villages was calculated and indicated that Euclidean distance was weakly correlated with the geographic distance(r=0.177±0.012),and the isonymic distance increased with the geographical ***,the dendrogram and PCA built from the matrix of Euclidean distances between villages identified a main surname differentiation between the urban and rural areas.

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide,and a series of strategies has been reported for tumor-specific ***,chemodynamic therapy(CDT)has become a research hotspot for antitumor treatment due to its advantages of high specificity,endogenous stimulation,and high ***,the therapeutic effects of CDT are normally limited in the complex tumor microenvironment(TME),such as insufficient acidity,tumor hypoxia,low hydrogen peroxide(H2O2),and high glutathione(GSH).Consequently,different kinds of multifunctional nanomaterials have been designed to manipulate TME conditions,which provided more opportunities to improve the efficiency of *** review focuses on nanomaterial-based strategies for enhancing CDT through manipulating *** CDT enhancements,this review would provide a reference for the future development of efficient CDT nanomaterials.

Speed limit effect during lane change in a two-lane lattice model under V2X environment

Speed limit measures are ubiquitous due to the complexity of the road environment,which can be supplied with the help of vehicle to everything(V2X)communication ***,the influence of speed limit on traffic system will be investigated to construct a two-lane lattice model accounting for the speed limit effect during the lane change process under V2X ***,the stability condition and the mKdV equation are closely associated with the speed limit effect through theory ***,the evolution of density and hysteresis loop is simulated to demonstrate the positive role of the speed limit effect on traffic stability in the cases of strong reaction intensity and high limited speed.

The acquisition of valuable design knowledge from massive fragmentary data is challenging for designers in conceptual product *** study proposes a novel method for acquiring design knowledge by combining deep learning with knowledge ***,the design knowledge acquisition method utilises the knowledge extraction model to extract design-related entities and relations from fragmentary data,and further constructs the knowledge graph to support design knowledge acquisition for conceptual product ***,the knowledge extraction model introduces ALBERT to solve memory limitation and communication overhead in the entity extraction module,and uses multi-granularity information to overcome segmentation errors and polysemy ambiguity in the relation extraction *** comparison verified the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed knowledge extraction *** case study demonstrated the feasibility of the knowledge graph construction with real fragmentary porcelain data and showed the capability to provide designers with interconnected and visualised design knowledge.

Deep-sea pipelines play a pivotal role in seabed mineral resource development,global energy and resource supply provision,network communication,and environmental ***,the placement of these pipelines on the seabed surface exposes them to potential risks arising from the complex deep-sea hydrodynamic and geological environment,particularly submarine *** incidents have highlighted the substantial damage to pipelines due to ***,deep-sea fluidized slides(in a debris/mud flow or turbidity current physical state),characterized by high speed,pose a significant *** assessing the impact forces exerted on pipelines by fluidized submarine slides is crucial for ensuring pipeline *** study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in understanding pipeline impact forces caused by fluidized deep-sea slides,thereby identifying key factors and corresponding mechanisms that influence pipeline impact *** factors include the velocity,density,and shear behavior of deep-sea fluidized slides,as well as the geometry,stiffness,self-weight,and mechanical model of ***,the interface contact conditions and spatial relations were examined within the context of deep-sea slides and their interactions with *** upon a thorough review of these achievements,future directions were proposed for assessing and characterizing the key factors affecting slide impact loading on pipelines.A comprehensive understanding of these results is essential for the sustainable development of deep-sea pipeline projects associated with seabed resource development and the implementation of disaster prevention measures.

Downstream Channel Evolution and Its Causes in the Yuan River during the Qing Dynasty

The determination of channel evolutions and the causes is important for reconstructing the evolutionary history of river *** study aimed to elucidate the downstream channel evolution of the Yuan River in Hunan Province,china,during the Qing Dynasty via Landsat 8 satellite image data and relevant *** objective was to establish the modes of channel evolution and discuss the significance of historical climate *** downstream paleochannel of the Yuan River was identified in the Late Ming Dynasty and Early Qing Dynasty(1600–1644 AD),the Kangxi-Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty(1661–1796 AD),the Late Qing Dynasty(1840–1912 AD),and the World War II(1939–1945 AD),and three main modes of river evolution were *** remote sensing data and the ancient literature,the evolution characteristics of the paleochannel in the Lower Yuan River were analyzed and its distribution across historical periods was comprehensively *** findings reveal a strong correlation between channel evolution,flood events,and climate *** flood events that occurred from the Late Qing Dynasty to the World War II caused a high rate of channel evolution,demonstrating the combined effects of climate change and human *** findings will help adopt robust and resilient hydrological management methods in the future of a changing climate.
