Lithiation-induced controllable vacancy engineering for developing highly active Ni_(3)Se_(2) as a high-rate and large-capacity battery-type cathode in hybrid supercapacitors

The poor rate capability and low capacity are huge barriers to realize the commercial applications of battery-type transition metal compounds(TMCs) cathode.Herein,numerous Se vacancy defects are introduced into the Ni_(3)Se_(2)lamellas by pre-lithiation technique,which can be acted as a novel class of battery-type cathode for hybrid supercapacitors.Appropriately modulating the contents of the preembedded lithium(Li) ions can induce a controllable vacancy content in the series of as-prepared products,effectively endowing a fast reaction kinetic and high activity for the cathode.Benefiting from the distinct design,the optimized cathode(Li2-Ni_(3)Se_(2)) presents a high specific capacity of 236 mA h g^(-1)at1 A g^(-1),importantly,it can still possess 117 mA h g^(-1)when the current density is increased up to 100A g^(-1),exhibiting relatively high rate capability.It is much superior to other battery-type TMC cathodes reported in previous studies.Moreover,the cathode also shows the excellent cycling stability with 92%capacity retention after 3,000 cycles.In addition,a hybrid supercapacitor(HSC) is assembled with the obtained Li2-Ni_(3)Se_(2)as the cathode and active carbon(AC) as the anode,which delivers a high energy density of 77 W h kg^(-1)at 4 kW kg^(-1)and long-term durability(90% capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles).Therefore,the strategy not only provides an effective way to realize the controllable vacancy content in TMCs for achieving high-perfo rmance cathodes for HSC,but also further promotes their large-scale applications in the energy storage fields.

Influence of pre-stretching on the tensile strength,fatigue properties and the in-plane anisotropy in Al-Cu-Li alloy AA2099

The influence of pre-stretching prior to artificial aging on microstructure,tensile properties,and fatigue behavior of AA2099-T8 sheets was investigated.The results showed that increased pre-strain level from 1%to 6%resulted in a more uniform distribution and increasing density of the T_(1)phase.The localized plastic deformation during pre-stretching led to the formation of dense precipitation bands(DPBs)and precipitation free bands(T_(1)-PFBs)in the sheets with the 1%pre-strain.The non-uniform distribution of the T_(1)phase with T_(1)-PFBs and DPBs resulted in a decrement in elongation and a strong in-plane anisotropy of tensile properties.An appropriate level of pre-strain should be executed aiming to improve elongation and reduce the tensile anisotropy by promoting a uniform distribution of the T_(1)phase.In-plane anisotropy of yield strength due to the presence of DPBs and T_(1)-PFBs was quantitatively analyzed by the modified Hall-Petch formula.The results of the calculation for the modified model showed good agreement with the experiment.In addition,resistances of fatigue crack propagation(FCP)in the same orientation were gradually decreased with the increment of pre-strain due to the increment in yield strength and more uniform distribution of the T_(1)phase.For the in-plane anisotropy of FCP resistance,the main reasons were the development of rough fracture surfaces and the transgranular fracture modes in L-T orientation.

In this paper,the approximate analytical oscillatory solutions to the generalized KolmogorovPetrovsky-Piskunov equation(gKPPE for short)are discussed by employing the theory of dynamical system and hypothesis undetermined method.According to the corresponding dynamical system of the bounded traveling wave solutions to the gKPPE,the number and qualitative properties of these bounded solutions are received.Furthermore,pulses(bell-shaped)and waves fronts(kink-shaped)of the gKPPE are given.In particular,two types of approximate analytical oscillatory solutions are constructed.Besides,the error estimations between the approximate analytical oscillatory solutions and the exact solutions of the gKPPE are obtained by the homogeneity principle.Finally,the approximate analytical oscillatory solutions are compared with the numerical solutions,which shows the two types of solutions are similar.

Photocatalytic aerobic oxidation desulfurization(PAODS)is a promising and sustainable alternative to conventional,energyintensive desulfurization techniques for petroleum products.However,its development is greatly plagued by the low capability in generating highly reactive oxygen species and sluggish kinetics of sulfide oxidation of reported photocatalysts.Here we report a class of MoO_(x)nanocluster decorated on ultrathin Mo-doped TiO_(2)nanosheet(MoO_(x)/MoTiO)catalyst for efficiently facilitating the photocatalytic aerobic oxidation of sulfides.We demonstrate that MoO_(x)/MoTiO can not only promote the generation of highly reactive singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))but also enhance the aerobic conversion of sulfides,which leads to a record dibenzothiophene oxidation activity of 3.90 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1).The multiple experimental characterizations and density functional theory calculations collectively reveal that the doped-Mo sites can interact with the photogenerated excitons,enabling directly energy transfer generation of^(1)O_(2)through a new exciton modulation mechanism,and the coordination unsaturated MoO_(x)clusters play the role of co-catalyst to enhance the separation of charge carriers,and effectively catalyze the reaction between sulfides and1O_(2)to form sulfones.

Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF),a disease-modifying drug for Parkinson’s disease(PD)is in Phase 2 clinical trials(EudraCT number:2011-003866-34),however it is administered by direct intrastriatal delivery via stereotaxy,which is accompanied with intracranial infection,brain tissue damage,and other complications.In addition,because of complex administration routes,clinical trials of GDNF have yielded contrary results,largely due to differences in dose and concentration brought by intracranial device.Herein,a small molecular agonist SC79 was screened to open blood-brain barrier(BBB)and promote GDNF liposomes to get into brain.SC79 reversibly reduces the expression of claudin-5,one of dominant tight junctions of BBB.Animal study showed SC79 promoted liposomes to enter into brain parenchyma 2.43 times more than that of the control.Motor deficits of PD mice receiving SC79 and brain-targeted GDNF liposomes were recovered by 36.70%and tyrosine hydroxylase positive neurons in striatum were restored by 39.90%.Our combination therapy effectively avoids the side effects such as secondary infection and uneven delivery caused by intracranial injection,improving patients’compliance and providing valuable research ideas for the clinic.

Sb-based materials exhibit considerable potential for sodium-ion storage owing to their high theoretica capacities.However,the bulk properties of Sb-based materials always result in poor cycling and rate performances.To overcome these issues,pyridine-regulated Sb@InSbS3ultrafine nanoplates loaded on reduced graphene oxides (Sb@InSbS3@rGO) were designed and synthesized.During the synthesis process,pyridine was initially adopted to coordinate with In3+,and uniformly dispersed In2S3ultrafine nanoplates on reduced graphene oxide were generated after sulfidation.Next,partial In3+was exchanged with Sb3+,and Sb@InSbS3@rGO was obtained by using the subsequent annealing method.The unique structure of Sb@InSbS3@rGO effectively shortened the transfer path of sodium ions and electrons and provided a high pseudocapacitance.As the anode in sodium-ion batteries,the Sb@InSbS3@rGO electrode demonstrated a significantly higher reversible capacity better stability (445 m Ah·g-1at 0.1 A·g-1after 200 cycles and 212 mAh·g-1at 2 A·g-1after 1200 cycles),and superior rate (210 mAh·g-1at 6.4 A·g-1) than the electrode without pyridine (355 mAh·g-1at 0.1 A·g-1after 55 cycles and 109 mAh·g-1at 2 A·g-1after 770 cycles)Furthermore,full cells were assembled by using the Sb@InSbS3@rGO as anode and Na3V2(PO4)3as cathode which demonstrated good cycling and rate performances and exhibited promising application prospects.These results indicate that adjusting the microstructure of electrode materials through coordination balance is A·good strategy for obtaining high-capacity,high-rate,and longcycle sodium storage performances.

Intelligent Orchestrating of IoT Microservices Based on Reinforcement Learning

With the recent increase in the number of Internet of things(IoT) services, an intelligent scheduling strategy is needed to manage these services. In this paper, the problem of automatic choreography of microservices in IoT is explored. A type of reinforcement learning(RL) algorithm called TD3 is used to generate the optimal choreography policy under the framework of a softwaredefined network. The optimal policy is gradually reached during the learning procedure to achieve the goal, despite the dynamic characteristics of the network environment. The simulation results show that compared with other methods, the TD3 algorithm converges faster after a certain number of iterations, and it performs better than other non-RL algorithms by obtaining the highest reward. The TD3 algorithm can effciently adjust the traffic transmission path and provide qualified IoT services.

Popularity prediction of online video is widely used in many different scenarios. It can not only help video service providers to schedule video web sites,but also bring considerable profits on investment for both providers and advertisers if popularity of online video is predicted accurately. However, online video popularity prediction still cannot have a satisfactory result, due to the complexity of many crucial factors especially of video distribution network. In this article, we extract seven factors from huge amounts of data about user behavior,establishing a new multiple linear regression model to initially predict online video popularity. After that, a multichannel video popularity dynamic scheduling model is proposed to schedule videos on which channel and what time to be broadcast, according to its popularity predicted by multiple linear regression model, ensuring that maximum the sum value of online video popularity of each channel. Experimental results on dataset obtained from Sohu Video, a video service provider in China, and real-world video flow in Sohu Video demonstrate that the proposed model is robust and has promising performance in predicting online video popularity, which is helpful for video service providers to schedule videos on web sites effectively in the future.
