This study aimed to explore the effect of Bifidobacterium animalis F1-7 on the improvement of atherosclerotic *** model ApoE^(-/-)mice were orally administered with *** F1-7 for 12 *** probiotic intervention reduced the plaque areas in aorta and the accumulation of macrophages,and downregulated the expression of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)pathway to reduce the levels of inflammatory *** widely-targeted metabolomics analysis showed that acetyl-L-carnitine(ALC)in the intestine of atherosclerotic mice was significantly increased after *** F1-7 *** analysis proved that ALC was associated with atherosclerotic inflammatory *** using oxidized low density lipoprotein induced macrophage foam cells,we further verified that ALC could reduce lipid accumulation and inflammatory response in foam cells by downregulating the TLR4/NF-κB ***,our results revealed that *** F1-7 upregulated the metabolite ALC to downregulate the inflammatory responses,leading to the reduction of plaque accumulation of atherosclerosis.

Objective:To determine the risk factors for hypertension in pregnant women,which is a significant cause of maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality in ***:This was a cross-sectional study used secondary data from the 2018 Indonesian Basic health *** women aged 15-54 years in the second and third trimesters were *** history of hypertension in pregnant women was the dependent *** independent variables consisted of the demographic characteristics of pregnant women including pregnancy age,gestational age,education,occupation,place of residence,and region of *** study used multivariate logistic regression to determine the risk factors for hypertension in pregnant women in ***:.Among 6479 respondents included in this study,11(7.0%)had a history of diabetes mellitus(DM)and hypertension compared to pregnant women who did not have a history of DM(0.1%).The dominant risk factors for hypertension in pregnant women in Indonesia include maternal age above 35 years(OR 3.67,95%CI 2.54-5.32),third-trimester pregnancy(OR 2.40,95%CI 1.72-3.35),primigravida(OR 1.78,95%CI 1.19-2.68),excessive consumption of salty foods(OR 1.44,95%CI 1.03-2.03),and diabetes mellitus(OR 10.20,95%CI 3.04-32.23).Conclusions:Great efforts must be made to increase public awareness about the dangers of hypertension in pregnant women through early diagnosis and treatment,education on sodium intake,and appropriate care for pregnant women with DM.

The associations of individual amino acid with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)risk remained *** present study aimed to investigate the associations between the two in the Chinese ***:A community-based health check-up program was conducted in Qingdao,*** was diagnosed by ultrasonography accompanied by epidemiological *** dietary intakes of amino acids were investigated with 3-day,24-h dietary records and calculated by nutrition Calculator *** cubic spline model was used to evaluate a nonlinear relationship between amino acid intake and NAFLD ***:400 NAFLD subjects were identified,and 400 participants were randomly selected as controls and matched by gender and age(±3 years)Dose-response analysis showed that 1000 mg increment of aromatic amino acids(AAAs)was associated with reduced 16%risk of *** increments of 750 mg/d threonine,950 mg/d valine,or 1700 mg/d lysine were associated with a 20%reduction in the NAFLD risk(all P for linearity<0.05).Conclusion:The present study demonstrated that the dietary increases in milk,eggs and deep-sea fish,which are rich in the amino acids,might contribute to protecting against NAFLD in the elderly.

Objective This study aimed to evaluate the associations of serum folate and/or vitamin B12 concentrations with obesity among Chinese children and *** A cross-sectional study was conducted including 3,079 Chinese children and adolescents,aged 6 to 17 years,from Jiangsu,*** indices,such as,children's body mass index(BMI),BMI z-scores,waist circumference,and waist-to-height ratio were *** linear regression and generalized additive models were used to investigate the associations of serum folate and vitamin B12 levels with anthropometric indices and odds of *** We observed that serum vitamin B12 concentrations were inversely associated with all anthropometric indices and the odds of general obesity[odds ratio(OR)=0.68;95%confidence interval(CI)=0.59,0.78]and abdominal obesity(OR=0.68;95%CI=0.60,0.77).When compared to participants with both serum vitamin levels in the two middle quartiles,those with both serum folate and vitamin B12 levels in the highest quartile were less prone to general(OR=0.31,95%CI=0.19,0.50)or abdominal obesity(OR=0.46,95%CI=0.31,0.67).Conversely,participants with vitamin B12 levels in the lowest quartile alongside folate levels in the highest quartile had higher odds of abdominal obesity(OR=2.06,95%CI=1.09,3.91).Conclusion Higher serum vitamin B12 concentrations,but not serum folate concentrations,were associated with lower odds of childhood *** and adolescents with high levels of vitamin B12 and folate were less likely to be obese.

Previous studies have shown that maternal resveratrol improved growth performance and altered the microbial composition of suckling piglets under hot summer conditions. However, it remains unclear how maternal resveratrol improves growth performance of suckling piglets during high summer temperatures. A total of 20 sows(Landrace × Large White; three parity) were randomly assigned to 2 groups(with or without 300 mg/kg resveratrol) from d 75 of gestation to d 21 of lactation during high ambient temperatures(from 27 to 30℃). The results showed that maternal resveratrol supplementation increased total daily weight gain of piglets under hot summer conditions, which is consistent with previous studies. Furthermore, we found that maternal resveratrol improved the intestinal morphology and intestinal epithelial proliferation in suckling piglets. Dietary resveratrol supplementation affected the characteristics of exosome-derived microRNAs(miRNAs) in sow colostrum, as well as the genes targeted by differentially produced miRNAs. MiRNAs are concentrated in the tight junction pathway. Obesity is gaining prominence as a serious public health challenge in the Southeast Asia(SEA)region,with an alarming rate of increase in its *** in the region have shown commitment to curbing the rise of obesity by establishing policies,strategies,and action *** paper summarises the current situation and strategies undertaken to combat obesity and related chronic *** a range of policies and strate-gies have been developed,including national nutrition action plans,community intervention programmes,fiscal measures,nutrition labelling to promote healthier choices,countries in the region are struggling to make signifi-cant progress toward halting the scourge of *** is imperative to strengthen existing health systems with a paradigm shift from a focus on"sick care"to and enhancing nutrition initiatives to support obesity prevention.A comprehensive and coordinated approach is essential,one that emphasises high-level coordination across all lev-els of government and multiple sectors,and a unified plan rather than fragmented *** strategies to be effective and sustainable,they must address the fundamental environmental determinants of poor dietary choices and nutritional inequalities.A more holistic approach is clearly needed to improve the entire food environment,which in SEA countries must include the multitude of eating places where large segments of the population"eat out"everyday to meet their energy and nutrient *** is a recognised need for more comprehensive measures to promote healthy eating among school children and ensure a supportive environment for lifelong healthy *** paper calls for a whole-of-government,whole-of-society approach that combines changes to the fundamental food environment and accompanied by systematic monitoring and surveillance systems to achieve long-lasting health outcomes.
