Poverty-stricken areas in China have the dual task of alleviating poverty and safeguarding national ecological *** on statistical surveys and satellite remote sensing data,we construct a staggered difference-in-difference model to empirically analyze the dual impact of poverty alleviation on the economic development and eco-environment of povertystricken *** study also examines viable pathways for economic development in poor areas in the context of ecological *** results show that the poverty eradication campaign under the leadership of the Communist Party of China has significantly improved the rate of economic growth in poverty-stricken areas while also significantly improving the quality of the local *** analysis shows that ecological projects and ecological compensation make the greatest contribution to promoting the conversion of ecological resources into economic output in poverty-stricken ***'s successful experience in green poverty alleviation can not only provide important policy enlightenment for the nation's continuation of its comprehensive revitalization drive in rural areas,but also provide new options for other developing countries to achieve their green take-off.

The deepening of global value chains(GVCs)has made remarkable impacts on the environmental outcomes of all countries/*** are the differences in environmental burden undertaken by countries/regions at different stages of economic development are a question worthy *** study compares the impacts of GVCs participation degree on CO_(2) intensity between developed and developing countries/*** panel data of 19 manufacturing industries in 43 countries/regions over the period of 2000-2014,it is discovered that the deeper participation in GVCs of developed countries/regions significantly reduces their CO_(2) intensity,while the more participation in GVCs of developing countries/regions significantly increases their CO_(2) ***,the quantile regression results reveal that the reduction of CO_(2) intensity is increasing for industries with higher initial CO_(2) intensity for developed countries/regions,whereas for developing countries/regions,only industries with initial low CO_(2) intensity experience significant increases in CO_(2) *** further analyzed the effect of GVCs participation degree on CO_(2) intensity for high-tech and low-tech industries and discovered that the effect is only significant in low-tech *** findings provide empirical evidence for the pollution haven hypothesis and offer enlightenment to formulate future trade and environmental policies.

In the economic development of Beijing,although the share of the total amount of agricultural industry in the overall economy is relatively low,it has an important impact on the daily life of residents,social stability and the development of other *** District,as an important agricultural production base of Beijing,its agricultural development has an indispensable strategic significance for the stability and growth of the entire regional ***,it is very important to study the structure of agricultural industry in Changping *** on the detailed analysis of the agricultural industrial structure of Changping District,this paper uses the grey relation theory to analyze the different industries in the agricultural industrial structure of Changping District,including planting,forestry,animal husbandry,fishery and agricultural,forestry,service industries,in order to reveal the impact of these industries on the agricultural industrial structure of Changping *** this study,it comes up with specific and feasible suggestions for the optimization of agricultural industrial structure in Changping District,and provides valuable reference for the agricultural development of other areas in Beijing.

This paper provides data envelopment analysis methods based on partially ordered set *** methods reveal the special relationships between two decision making units from the perspective of mathematical theory and offer the classification,projection and improvement methods of decision making *** is proved that an efficient decision making unit must be a maximal element of the related poset,and the maximal element may not be *** this,we introduce the concepts of minimum envelope and efficiency envelope which further reveal the special relationship among efficient and inefficient decision making *** with the previous methods,this method not only reveals theoretically the complex relationship among decision making units and the causes of the ineffectiveness,but also gives a new importance and competitiveness measurement method to each decision making ***,related algorithm and examples are given for the application of these methods to complex decision making problems.

Exploring the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of the border land use multifunctionality(LUMF)provides insights for taking advantage of border land use and optimizing border land use *** on the improved Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)mode,this study identifies and evaluates the LUMFs in the China-Vietnam border area between 2000 and 2018 from the perspectives of agricultural production,social security,ecological service,landscape recreation,and national *** results show that:1)The comprehensive land use functions in most counties and cities continued to be improved.2)The comprehensive land use function exhibits remarkable spatial divergence and aggregation *** high-value area of the agricultural production function and social security function evolves from the east to the *** addition,the spatial evolution of ecological service function is complicated,without an obvious spatial divergence and aggregation *** landscape recreation function shows different spatial differentiation characteristics in the early and middle stage,and forms a large cluster in the later ***,the spatial evolution pattern of the national security function is significant.3)Designing differentiated border land policies,improving border land use security,and establishing a long-term mechanism for ecological protection and ecological compensation can aid in optimizing the LUMF level in the border area.

With the population growth through natural growth and migration,coupled with the city expansion,it is the fact that Dehradun City in India faces severe water ***,the Song Dam Drinking Water Project(SDDWP)is proposed to provide ample drinking water to Dehradun City and its suburban *** paper examined economic significance and environmental impacts of the SDDWP in Garhwal Himalaya,*** conduct this study,we coll.cted data from both primary and secondary *** are 12 villages and 3 forest divisions in the surrounding areas of the proposed dam project,of which 3 villages will be fully submerged and 50 households will be *** this study,50 heads of the households were interviewed in the 3 submerged *** questions mainly focused on economic significance,environmental impacts,and rehabilitation issues of the dam *** findings of this study indicate that economic significance of the dam project is substantial,including providing ample water for drinking and irrigation,contributing to groundwater recharge,creating job opportunities,and promoting the development of tourism and fisheries in the Doon *** terms of the rehabilitation of the affected people,there are only 50 households in need of ***,the arable land of these affected people is not sufficient to sustain their *** entire landscape is fragile,rugged,and precipitous;therefore,the affected people are willing to rehabilitate to more suitable areas in the Doon ***,it is essential to provide them with sufficient compensation packages including the compensation of arable land,houses,cash,common property resources,institutions,belongingness,and cultural *** the other hand,the proposed dam project will have adverse environmental impacts including arable land degradation,forest degradation,loss of fauna and flora,soil erosion,landslides,and soil *** impacts will lead to the ecological imbalances in

Work-for-relief plays a unique role in China’s journey toward *** the perspectives of policy tools and interest analysis,this paper uses quantitative analysis of policy texts and integrates grounded theory to build a policy expression analysis model to discuss the current work-for-relief policy *** study found that China’s use of the work-for-relief policy is unbalanced,and it is necessary to enhance the involvement of non-governmental sectors,as well as to fully consider the policy’s target groups and the social issues that need addressing.
