RE-SEGNN:recurrent semantic evidence-aware graph neural network for temporal knowledge graph forecasting

Temporal knowledge graph(TKG) reasoning, has seen widespread use for modeling real-world events, particularly in extrapolation settings. Nevertheless, most previous studies are embedded models, which require both entity and relation embedding to make predictions, ignoring the semantic correlations among different entities and relations within the same timestamp. This can lead to random and nonsensical predictions when unseen entities or relations occur. Furthermore, many existing models exhibit limitations in handling highly correlated historical facts with extensive temporal depth. They often either overlook such facts or overly accentuate the relationships between recurring past occurrences and their current counterparts. Due to the dynamic nature of TKG, effectively capturing the evolving semantics between different timestamps can be *** address these shortcomings, we propose the recurrent semantic evidenceaware graph neural network(RE-SEGNN), a novel graph neural network that can learn the semantics of entities and relations simultaneously. For the former challenge, our model can predict a possible answer to missing quadruples based on semantics when facing unseen entities or relations. For the latter problem, based on an obvious established force, both the recency and frequency of semantic history tend to confer a higher reference value for the current. We use the Hawkes process to compute the semantic trend, which allows the semantics of recent facts to gain more attention than those of distant facts. Experimental results show that RE-SEGNN outperforms all SOTA models in entity prediction on 6 widely used datasets, and 5 datasets in relation prediction. Furthermore, the case study shows how our model can deal with unseen entities and relations.

Spatiotemporal deformation analysis of glaciers and surrounding landscapes in the Shishapangma region using InSAR techniques

Towards few-shot mixed-type dialogue generation

Building an agent capable of conducting both open-domain and task-oriented dialogues, known as mixed-type dialogues, has been an enduring challenge for the AI community. Previous approaches have focused on constructing largescale human-annotated datasets for training models. However, annotating these datasets is expensive and hinders the practical application of these models. This paper identifies a novel challenge, few-shot mixed-type dialogue generation. To address this challenge, we first present a pre-trained dialogue generation framework with modular-based architecture and prompttuning component. Additionally, we collect a mixed-type dialogue dataset that combines persona-chat with conversational recommendation or task-oriented dialogues within a single dialogue session. Specifically, the modular-based architecture allows us to easily incorporate more supervised signals and human-annotated information, thereby facilitating the learning of sessionlevel dialogue logic. We pre-train this dialogue generation framework using multiple external datasets and then fine-tune it on the mixed-type dialogue dataset we collected. Experimental results demonstrate that the three key designs — modular-based architecture, prompt-tuning component, and model pre-training — significantly enhance the performance of this framework compared to state-of-the-art baselines.

Research on acupuncture robots based on the OptiTrack motion capture system and a robotic arm

OBJECTIVE: To propose an automatic acupuncture robot system for performing acupuncture operations. METHODS: The acupuncture robot system consists of three components: automatic acupoint localization, acupuncture manipulations, and De Qi sensation detection. The OptiTrack motion capture system is used to locate acupoints, which are then translated into coordinates in the robot control system. A flexible collaborative robot with an intelligent gripper is then used to perform acupuncture manipulations with high precision. In addition, a De Qi sensation detection system is proposed to evaluate the effect of acupuncture. To verify the stability of the designed acupuncture robot, acupoints' coordinates localized by the acupuncture robot are compared with the Gold Standard labeled by a professional acupuncturist using significant level tests. RESULTS: Through repeated experiments for eight acupoints, the acupuncture robot achieved a positioning error within 3.3 mm, which is within the allowable range of needle extraction and acupoint insertion. During needle insertion, the robot arm followed the prescribed trajectory with a mean deviation distance of 0.02 mm and a deviation angle of less than 0.15°. The results of the lifting thrusting operation in the Xingzhen process show that the mean acupuncture depth error of the designed acupuncture robot is approximately 2 mm, which is within the recommended depth range for the Xingzhen operation. In addition, the average detection accuracy of the De Qi keywords is 94.52%, which meets the requirements of acupuncture effect testing for different dialects. CONCLUSION: The proposed acupuncture robot system streamlines the acupuncture process, increases efficiency, and reduces practitioner fatigue, while also allowing for the quantification of acupuncture manipulations and evaluation of therapeutic effects. Edge Coalition Construction Based on a Novel Market Equilibrium Price

The emergence of multi-access edge computing(MEC) aims at extending cloud computing capabilities to the edge of the radio access network. As the large-scale internet of things(IoT) services are rapidly growing, a single edge infrastructure provider(EIP) may not be sufficient to handle the data traffic generated by these services. Most of the existing work addressed the computing resource shortage problem by optimizing tasks schedule, whereas others overcome such issue by placing computing resources on demand. However, when considering a multiple EIPs scenario, an urgent challenge is how to generate a coalition structure to maximize each EIP's gain with a suitable price for computing resource block corresponding to a container. To this end, we design a scheme of EIPs collaboration with a market price for containers under a scenario that considers a collection of service providers(SPs) with different budgets and several EIPs distributed in geographical ***, we bring in the net profit market price model to generate a more reasonable equilibrium price and select the optimal EIPs for each SP by a convex program. Then we use a mathematical model to maximize EIP's profits and form stable coalitions between EIPs by a distributed coalition formation algorithm. Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed collaborative scheme among EIPs enhances EIPs' gain and increases users' surplus.
