SDF-1α,a ligand for the chemokine receptor CXCR4,is well known for mediating the migration of breast cancer *** a previous study we demonstrated that a synthetic 21-mer peptide antagonist of CXCR4（NT21MP） derived from the viral macrophage inflammatory protein Ⅱ could antagonize tumor growth in vivo by inhibiting cellular proliferation and inducing apoptosis in breast cancer ***,the role of SDF-1α in the signaling pathways underlying the proliferation of human breast cancer cells and associated signaling pathways and inhibiting signal pathways of NT21MP remained *** present study investigated the mechanism of NT21MP on anti-tumor in breast cancer in *** effect of NT21MP on the viability of cells was determined by the MTT *** V-FITC and PI staining was performed to detect early stage apoptosisin SKBR3 cells treated with SDF-1α and AMD3100 or *** blotting techniques were used to assay the composition of phosphoproteomics and total proteins present in the SKBR3 breast cancer ***-PCR and Western blotting technique were used to detect the effect of NT21MP and AMD3100 on Bcl-2 and Bax *** results indicated that SDF-1α prevented apoptosis and promoted the proliferation of SKBR3 human breast cancer *** compared with untreated SKBR3 cells,Treatment with SDF-1α significantly increased cell viability,and NT21MP abolished the protective effects of SDF-1α dose-dependently（P0.05）.There was a significant decrease in the percentage of apoptotic cells after SDF-1α treatment as compared with control group（2.7%±0.2% vs.5.7%±0.4%,P0.05）.But pretreatment of SKBR3 cells with NT21MP significantly attenuated the antiapoptotic effects of SDF-1α as compared with SKBR3 cells without NT21MP *** proliferative and anti-apoptotic effects of SDF-1α in SKBR3 cells were associated with an increase in AKT and ERK1/2 phosphorylation as well as a decrease in Bax expression and an increase in Bcl-2 *** change

Agricultural investment project selection is a complex multi-criteria decision-making problem,as agricultural projects are easily influenced by various risk factors,and the evaluation information provided by decisionmakers usually involves uncertainty and *** literature primarily employed direct preference elicitation methods to address such issues,necessitating a great cognitive effort on the part of decision-makers during evaluation,specifically,determining the weights of *** this study,we propose an indirect preference elicitation method,known as a preference disaggregation method,to learn decision-maker preference models fromdecision *** enhance evaluation ease,decision-makers merely need to compare pairs of alternatives with which they are familiar,also known as reference *** linguistic preference relations are employed to account for the presence of incomplete and uncertain information in such pairwise *** address the inconsistency among a group of decision-makers,we develop a pair of 0-1mixed integer programming models that consider both the semantics of linguistic terms and the belief degrees of ***,we conduct a case study and comparative *** reveal the effectiveness of the proposed model in solving agricultural investment project selection problems with uncertain and inconsistent decision information.

Standardized Assessment of Ki-67 in Breast Cancer Patients Using Virtual Slides and an Automated Analyzer in Comparison to Central/Local Pathological Assessments

Purpose: To standardize the methods to measure Ki-67, there is an interest in automating the assessment of Ki-67. Therefore, we reviewed the possibility of introducing an automated analyzer to standardize the Ki-67 evaluation method. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed a clinical database of patients who underwent surgery for early breast cancer at Tokyo-West Tokushukai Hospital. Among them, those who underwent preoperative core needle biopsy (CNB) were enrolled. The concordance rates of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PgR), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), and Ki-67 by local pathologists were reviewed (valuations made by local pathologists), and nonmatching cases (from August 2008 to October 2011) were reassessed both by central review and using an automated analyzer with virtual slides. The results were compared with the evaluations made by local pathologists, and we reexamined the concordance rate by using central review and the automated analyzer. Results: The concordance rate of Ki-67 evaluations made by local pathologists in the preoperative CNB and surgical specimens was 78.7% in 287 cases pathologically assessed from October 2008 to March 2013. This rate was significantly lower (p < 0.01) than that of ER (95.6%), PgR (88.5%), and HER2 (91.6%). Reassessment of the 37 cases of nonmatching Ki-67 values from 2008 to October 2011 using central review and an automated analyzer resulted in clear improvement in matching of 22 (92.1%) and 24 (93.1%) of 37 cases, respectively. Conclusion: The concordance rate of Ki-67 in preoperative CNB and surgical specimens was lower than that of other biological markers;however, they were nearly equal by reassessment using central review and an automated analyzer.

Analysis of EGFR gene mutations in lung adenocarcinoma in Karamay,Xinjiang,China

Background:To investigate the mutation types and mutation rate of the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)gene in patients with lung adenocarcinoma and the clinical features of lung adenocarcinoma with EGFR gene mutations in Karamay,Xinjiang,***:Paraffin-embedded tissue samples of adenocarcinoma patients were collected in the Karamay Central Hospital from March 2016 to June 2019,and mutations in exon 18–21 of the EGFR gene were detected by the allele-specific amplification polymerase chain reaction(Amplification RefractoryMutation System–PCR)*** relationships between themutation types,mutation incidence,and clinical features were ***:Of the 170 patients with lung adenocarcinoma,83 had EGFR *** total mutation rate of EGFR in patients with lung adenocarcinoma was 48.8%,which included mutations in exons 18(1.2%[2/170]),19(19.4%[33/170]),20(2.4%[4/170]),and 21(20.6%[35/170]).Intriguingly,there was a case with 9 mutations in exons 20 and *** mutations in exon 19 of EGFR resulted in the deletion of codons 746 to *** main mutation in exon 21 was L858R(91.4%[32/35]).There was no significant difference in exons 19 and 21 mutation rates(P>0.05).The mutation rate of EGFR in female patients was significantly higher than that in male patients(Pclinical stage of patients with non–small cell lung cancer(P>0.05).The EGFR mutation rate may be related to the degree of tumor ***:Among patients with lung adenocarcinoma in Kelamayi(city in Xinjiang),EGFR mutations were more frequently detected in female patients,and the main sites of mutations were exons 19 and 21.

Pro-osteogenesis and in vivo tracking investigation of a dental implantation system comprising novel mTi implant and HYH-Fe particles

Insufficient early osteogenesis seriously affects the later stage osteogenic quality and osseointegration of dental *** promote early osteogenesis,we first designed a Ti dental implant with a built-in magnet(mTi)to produce a local static magnetic field(SMF).Then,a dental implantation system comprising the mTi implant and the superparamagnetic hydroxyapatite(HA:Yb/Ho-Fe,named HYH-Fe)particles was implanted into the alveolar bone of *** results showed that the mTi+HYH-Fe group displayed better early osteogenesis and later stage osseointegration than the Ti+HA and mTi+HA groups.A combination of the local SMF(mTi)and superparamagnetic HYH-Fe particles had a positive effect on the pro-osteogenesis of Ti *** results also indicated that week 10 could be adopted as the key time point to evaluate the early osteogenic effect of the mTi+HYH-Fe implantation system,which would be a promising prospect for promotion of osteogenesis,in vivo tracking investigation of material-bone relationships,and clinical applications.

Altered thermal sensitivity in facial skin in chronic whiplash-associated disorders

There is a close functional relationship between the jaw and neck regions and it has been suggested that trigeminal sensory impairment can follow whiplash *** of manageable routines for valid assessment of the facial sensory capacity is thus needed for comprehensive evaluations of patients exposed to such *** present study investigated facial thermal thresholds in patients with chronic whiplash-associated disorders（WADs）with both a qualitative method and quantitative sensory testing（QST）.Ten women with pain and dysfunction following a whiplash injury were compared to 10 healthy age-matched *** detection thresholds were assessed by qualitative chair-side testing and by QST according to the *** test sites in the facial skin（overlying each trigeminal branch bilaterally,and the midpoint of the chin）were *** detection warm and cold thresholds were defined as the mean values of 10 individual *** the WAD patients,the qualitative assessment demonstrated both reduced and increased sensitivity compared to the healthy,whereas QST systematically showed significantly higher detection thresholds（i.e.,decreased sensitivity）for both cold and warm *** the individuals who were assessed as having increased sensitivity in the qualitative assessment,the QST displayed either normal or higher thresholds,i.e.,decreased *** results suggest that QST is more sensitive for detecting thermal sensory disturbances in the face than a qualitative *** impaired thermal sensitivity among the patients corroborates the notion of altered thermal detection capacity induced by WAD-related pain.

Row–column visibility graph approach to two-dimensional landscapes

A new concept, called the row-column visibility graph, is proposed to map two-dimensional landscapes to complex networks. A cluster coverage is introduced to describe the extensive property of node clusters on a Euclidean lattice. Graphs mapped from fractals generated with the probability redistribution model behave scale-free. They have pattern-induced hierarchical organizations and comparatively much more extensive structures. The scale-free exponent has a negative correlation with the Hurst exponent, however, there is no deterministic relation between them. Graphs for fractals generated with the midpoint displacement model are exponential networks. When the Hurst exponent is large enough （e.g., H 〉 0.5）, the degree distribution decays much more slowly, the average coverage becomes significant large, and the initially hierarchical structure at H 〈 0.5 is destroyed completely. Hence, the row-column visibility graph can be used to detect the pattern-related new characteristics of two-dimensional landscapes.
