With the rapid development of histological techniques and the widespread applica-tion of single-cell sequencing in eukaryotes,researchers desire to explore individual *** and functional expression,which deepens our understanding of *** this review,the history of the development of microbial detection technologies was revealed and the difficulties in the application of single-cell sequencing in microorganisms were dissected as ***,the characteristics of the currently emerging microbial single-cell sequencing(Microbe-seq)technology were summarized,and the prospects of the application of Microbe-seq in microorganisms were distilled based on the current development *** its mature development,the Microbe-seq technology was still in the optimization stage.A retrospective study was conducted,aiming to promote the widespread application of single-cell sequencing in microorganisms and facilitate further improvement in the technol-ogy.

Objective In recent decades,China has implemented a series of policies to address air *** aimed to assess the health effects of these policies on stroke burden attributable to ambient fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)).Methods Joinpoint regression was applied to explore the temporal tendency of stroke burden based on data from the Global Burden of Disease 2019 *** The age-standardized rates of disability-adjusted life year(DALY)for stroke attributable to ambient PM2.5 in China,increased dramatically during 1990-2012,subsequently decreased at an annual percentage change(APC)of-1.98[95% confidence interval(CI):-2.26,-1.71]during *** ischemic stroke(IS),the age-standardized DALY rates doubled from 1990 to 2014,and decreased at an APC of-0.83(95%CI:-1.33,-0.33)during *** hemorrhage(ICH)showed a substantial increase in age-standardized DALY rates from 1990 to 2003,followed by declining trends,with APCs of-1.46(95%CI:-2.74,-0.16)during 2003-2007 and-3.33(95%CI:-3.61,-3.06)during 2011-2019,***,the age-standardized DALY rates for subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH)generally declined during *** Our results clarified the dynamic changes of the ambient PM_(2.5)-attributable stroke burden in China during 1990-2019,highlighting the health effects of air quality improvement policies.

Background:It is well known that laparoscopic liver surgery can offer advantages over open liver surgery in selected ***,what type of procedures can benefit most from a laparoscopic approach has been investigated poorly thus *** aim of this study is thus to define the extent of advantages of laparoscopic over open liver surgery for lesions in the anterolateral(AL)and posterosuperior(PS)***:In this international multicentre retrospective cohort study,laparoscopic and open minor liver resections for lesions in the AL and PS segments were compared after propensity score *** differential benefit of laparoscopy over open liver surgery,calculated using bootstrap sampling,was compared between AL and PS resections and expressed as a Delta of the ***:After matching,3,040 AL and 2,336 PS resections were compared,encompassing open and laparoscopic procedures in a 1:1 *** and PS laparoscopic liver resections were more advantageous in comparison to open in terms of blood loss,transfusion rate,complications,and length of ***,AL resections benefitted more from laparoscopy than PS in terms of overall and severe complications(D-difference were 4.8%,P=0.046 and 3%,P=0.046)and blood loss(D-difference was 195 mL,P<0.001).Similar results were observed in the subset for high-volume centres,while in recent years no significant differences were found in the differential benefit between AL and PS ***:The advantage of laparoscopic over open liver surgery is greater in the AL segments than in the PS segments.

The nucleocapsid protein(NP)plays a crucial role in SARS-CoV-2 replication and is the most abundant structural protein with a long *** its vital role in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)assembly and host inflammatory response,it remains an unexplored target for drug *** this study,we identified a small-molecule compound(ciclopirox)that promotes NP degradation using an FDA-approved library and a drug-screening cell *** significantly inhibited SARS-CoV-2 replication both in vitro and in vivo by inducing NP *** induced abnormal NP aggregation through indirect interaction,leading to the formation of condensates with higher viscosity and lower *** condensates were subsequently degraded via the autophagy-lysosomal pathway,ultimately resulting in a shortened NP half-life and reduced NP *** results suggest that NP is a potential drug target,and that ciclopirox holds substantial promise for further development to combat SARS-CoV-2 replication.

Objective: The burden of gastric cancer(GC) across different age groups needs updating. We determined the GC global, regional, and national burden profiles and changes in incidence for 3 sequential 5-year intervals from 2003 to ***: The latest incidence and mortality estimates of GC from 185 countries and regions were extracted from the GLOBOCAN 2022 database. The 5-year interval age-standardised incidence rates(ASIRs) were evaluated using cancer registry data from volumes X±XII of the Cancer Incidence in Five Continents(CI5). Correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between ASIR or the age-standardised mortality rate(ASMR) and the Human development Index(HDI).Results: There was an estimated global 968,000 new GC cases and 660,000 deaths in 2022, with male predominance. GC ASIRs and ASMRs were 9.2 and 6.1 per 100,000 persons, respectively. East Asia had the highest burden, with 53.8% of cases and 48.2% of deaths among all geographic regions. There was a significant correlation between ASIR and HDI. Over three 5-year intervals from 2003 to 2017, the incidence of GC notably decreased in most countries but peaked at 2008±2012 in New Zealand, Turkey, and South Africa. Several countries in Europe, Oceania, and America suggest an increasingly concerning trend among younger individuals, especially ***: GC is a significant health issue, especially among males and in geographic regions with an HDI, such as eastern Asia. While the incidence of GC is decreasing in many countries due to prevention efforts and improved treatments, a rising trend persists among younger individuals. Comprehensive prevention strategies tailored to different age patterns are clearly needed.

Alzheimer ’s disease(AD) is a leading cause of dementia in the ***-activated protein kinase phosphatase 1(MKP-1) plays a neuroprotective role in ***,the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of MKP-1 on AD have not been extensively ***(miRNAs) regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level,thereby repressing mRNA ***,we reported that the microRNA-429-3p(miR-429-3p) was significantly increased in the brain of APP23/PS45 AD model mice and N2AAPPAD model *** further found that miR-429-3p could downregulate MKP-1 expression by directly binding to its 3’-untranslated region(3’ UTR).Inhibition of miR-429-3p by its antagomir(A-miR-429) restored the expression of MKP-1 to a control level and consequently reduced the amyloidogenic processing of APP and Aβ *** importantly,intranasal administration of A-miR-429 successfully ameliorated the deficits of hippocampal CA1 long-term potentiation and spatial learning and memory in AD model mice by suppressing extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK1/2)-mediated GluAl hyperphosphorylation at Ser831 site,thereby increasing the surface expression of GluAl-containing α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid receptors(AMPARs).Together,these results demonstrate that inhibiting miR-429-3p to upregulate MKP-1 effectively improves cognitive and synaptic functions in AD model mice,suggesting that miR-429/MKP-1 pathway may be a novel therapeutic target for AD treatment.
