The industrial chemistry of oils and fats is a mature technology, with decades of experience and refinement behind current practices, therefore some physico-chemical characteristics of eleven vegetable oils sunflower oil (four different manufacturing companies), olive oil (three different manufacturing companies), corn oil, castor oil, coconut oil and canola oil in Iraqi Kurdistan region (Hawler city center) have been evaluated according to association of official analytical chemists (AOAC) (1995) official methods. The refractive index, viscosity, acid value, peroxide value, pH values, and values of specific gravity of the vegetable oil samples were measured at various different conditions. The results showed that some of the oil samples have unacceptable values in comparison with the standards.

The solar energy conversion system is very interesting alternative on supplement the electric system generation, due to the persistent cost reduction of the overall system and cleaner power generation. To obtain a stable voltage from an input supply (PV cells) that is higher and lower than the output, a high efficiency and minimum ripple DC-DC converter required in the system for residential power production. Buck-boost converters make it possible to efficiently convert a DC voltage to either a lower or higher voltages. Buck-boost converters are especially useful for PV maximum power tracking purposes, where the objective is to draw maximum possible power from solar panels at all times, regardless of the load. This paper analyzes and describes step by step the process of designing, and simulation of high efficiency low ripple voltage buck-boost DC-DC converter for the photovoltaic solar conversion system applicable to a (typical) single family home based on battery-based systems. The input voltage can typically change from (20 V) initially, down to (5 V), and provide a regulated voltage within the range of the battery (12 V). PLECS simulation results provide strong evidences about the high efficiency, minimum ripple voltage, high accuracy, and the usefulness of the system of the proposed converter when applied to either residential or solar home applications.

The sera of 180 human samples were tested for the presence of antibodies against Borrelia burgdorferi using the ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) technique. Out of 180 sero-samples, 46 (25.55%) were positive. Females of the age range 18-35 years had the highest rate of sero-positive samples 14 (38.88%), while the highest percentage of sero-negative samples was found in males of the age range 50-80 years. The other sero-positive samples were 6 (26.08%), 6 (25%) and 3 (11.53%) in males of ages between 18-35, 35-50 and 50-80 years, respectively, and 11 (29.72%) and 6 (17.64%) in females in the age ranges 35-50 and 50-80 years, respectively. The mean concentration of Anti- B. burgdorferi antibody was higher (16.7 U/mL) when compared with mean concentration of normal value (5.5 U/mL), P < 0.001.

The global navigation satellite systems(GNSS)provide an accurate three-dimensional positioning including the geodetic(ellipsoidal)height(h),which is,in most cases,must be transformed to the local/regional orthometric height(H)to have physically the desired meaning of the elevation above the national vertical datum(e.g.,MSL(Mean Sea Level)).Usually,the local orthometric heights are determined based on the value of geoid undulation(N),which is obtained by methods of gravimetrical observations or derived by methods of interpolation utilizing the local geoid models(LGM).The current paper highlights one of the methods of generating LGM that is based on the geometrical relationship between the global datum WGS84 and the Iraqi datum Karbala *** DGPS(Differential GPS)method is used to get the geodetic coordinates of about 97 selected points to cover the experimental area,within the boundaries of erbil municipality,which has been partitioned into four ***,four LGM were generated individually for each one of the four parts with an estimated uncertainty equal to±0.076 m.

Comparative Study of the Static Magnetic Field Effects on Growth Rate with Relative Antibiotic Susceptibility in Escherichia coli

We studied the biological effects of different magnetic fields. Identified bacterial strain Escherichia coli (type 1) has been exposed to the dipolar magnetic field force (400, 800, 1200 and 1600 Gausses) which prepared locally with incubation for different period times (24, 48 and 72 hrs) at 37 °C. The effects were evaluated by optical density (OD) at 600 nm determining their growth density incorporation with negative control and depending of McFarland turbidity standard (0.5), in addition to its susceptibility to various antibiotics. Results illustrate different forces of magnetic field decreased the growth rate of E. coli in particular at 24 hrs incubation comparing with unexposed or control samples. The magnetic field increased the logarithmic phase within 4-6 hrs of treatment but decreased after 16 to 18 hrs. Furthermore, changes in the antibiotic sensitivity were observed after exposure period of 6 hrs since E. coli cells became more sensitive to certain antibiotics. While after a 16 hrs exposure period, it became more resistant to the same antibiotics comparing with control groups.

This study has been conducted with the purpose of determining energy use efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions of garlic cultivation during the 2020-2021 cultivation season in Adıyaman province of ***,observations and field works were performed in 134 garlic farms in the region through simple random *** garlic cultivation,energy input was calculated as 32103.20 MJ/hm^(2)and energy output was calculated as 30096 MJ/hm^(2).With regards to the three highest inputs in garlic production,46.66%of the energy inputs consisted of chemical fertilizers energy(14979.26 MJ/hm^(2)),11.29%consisted of farmyard manure energy(3625.71 MJ/hm^(2))and 10.48%consisted of human labour energy(3363.36 MJ/hm^(2)).Energy use efficiency,specific energy,energy productivity and net energy in garlic cultivation were calculated as 0.94,1.71 MJ/kg,0.59 kg/MJ,and−2007.20 MJ/hm^(2),*** total energy input consumed in garlic cultivation was classified as 27.19%direct energy,72.81%indirect energy,35.17%renewable energy and 64.87%nonrenewable *** GHG emissions and GHG ratio were calculated as 8636.60 kg CO_(2)-eq/hm^(2)and 0.46 kg CO_(2)-eq/kg,respectively.

The purpose of this study was to determine the energy use efficiency and greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions in peach production that took place in Kırklareli province of Turkey during the 2020-2021 production *** study included calculations of energy input,energy output,energy use efficiency,specific energy,energy productivity,net energy,energy input types,GHG emissions and GHG ***,observation and data calculations are related to the 2020-2021 production *** data obtained from the study were collected from 16 different farms(reachable)through face-to-face surveys with full count *** input and energy output were calculated as 19570.58 MJ/hm^(2) and 19471.94 MJ/hm^(2),*** regards to production inputs,55.70% of the energy inputs consisted of chemical fertilizers energy(10900.03 MJ/hm^(2)),9.46% consisted of chemicals energy(1852.10 MJ/hm^(2)),9.32% consisted of human labour energy(1823.13 MJ/hm^(2)),7.65% consisted of electricity energy(1497.28 MJ/hm^(2)),6.91% consisted of diesel fuel energy(1351.52 MJ/hm^(2)),4.73% consisted of irrigation water energy(926.10 MJ/hm^(2)),3.43% consisted of machinery energy(671.98 MJ/hm^(2)),1.88% consisted of transportation energy(367.72 MJ/hm^(2)),0.88% consisted of farmyard manure energy(171.80 MJ/hm^(2))and 0.05%consisted of lime energy(8.94 MJ/hm^(2)).Energy use efficiency,specific energy,energy productivity and net energy were calculated as 0.99,1.91 MJ/kg,0.52 kg/MJ and-98.64 MJ/hm^(2),*** consumed total energy input in production was classified as 28.60% direct energy,71.40% indirect energy,14.93% renewable energy and 85.07% *** GHG emissions and GHG ratio were calculated as 1683.24 kgCO_(2)-eq/hm^(2) and 0.16 kg CO_(2)-eq/kg,respectively.
