In this paper, a new loop transformation is proposed that can exploit parallelism in loops which cannot be found by traditional methods. Then the method is extended to show how to achieve maximum speedup of loops if there are infinite processors and how to balance the workload of parallel sections in loops i f there is fixed number of processors.

The effects of fermenting, boiling, and steaming processes on the levels of free amino acids, organic acids, antioxidant properties （FRAP and DPPH）, phenolic compounds, and angiotensine converting enzyme （ACE） inhibition of sweet potato tips were investigated. Seventeen free amino acids were found in the tips. Fermenting, boiling, and steaming processes significantly reduced total free amino acid contents and steaming processes caused smaller losses than fermenting and boiling processes. Five organic acids were investigated in the tips. In comparison with the total organic acid content of unprocessed sweet potato tips, steaming and boiling processes significantly reduced it, while fermenting process increased it. Chlorogenic acid, rutin, and quercetin were investigated in the tips. The total phenolic compounds contents of sweet potato tips significantly increased by steaming and boiling processes, but a substantial loss was caused by fermenting process. A similar result was shown in FRAP value. The result of ACE inhibitory activity indicated that boiling, steaming, and fermenting processes significantly increased ACE inhibitory activity.

It is difficult to obtain a clear image in underwater turbulence environment with classical imaging methods due to the absorption, scattering, and underwater turbulence on the propagation ***, ghost imaging(GI), a nonlocally imaging technique, has shown the turbulence-free ability in atmospheric turbulence by exploiting the second-order correlation between the signal beam and the reference *** this paper, we experimentally investigate the imaging quality of GI affected by the underwater environment, where the underwater environment is simulated by a 1 m×0.4 m×0.4 m tank with distilled *** water temperature is controlled by a heater inside the tank, and a temperature gradient is obtained by putting the heater at different positions of the *** water vibration is produced by a heavy force, and the turbid medium is obtained by dissolving very small specks of CaCO3 in the water.A set of Hadamard speckle pattern pairs are generated and modulated on the incident beam, and then the beam illuminates on an unknown object after passing through the simulated underwater *** the second-order correlations, the image is reconstructed under different temperature gradients, water vibration, and turbid medium *** results show that GI has the turbulence-free ability under lower temperature gradient, water vibration, and turbid *** structural similarity image measurement(SSIM)values of the reconstructed images only start to decrease when the temperature gradient is greater than 4.0℃.The same temperature gradient produced at the different positions has a little effect on the quality of the underwater GI.

A series of Y zeolites exchanged with different amount of cerium and lanthanum cations were investigated. Comprehensive routine analysis tools including X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）, X-ray fluorescence（XRF）, X-ray diffraction（XRD） and Py-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（Py-FTIR） were used to identify the cation location, and the result was verified via XRD Rietveld study. The results revealed that almost all the RE cations in RE-4, most cations in RE-8 to RE-14 and part of cations in RE-16 were located in the sodalite cage. The Al^（IV）/（Al^V＋Al^（VI）） values revealed by ^（27）Al MAS NMR spectra, the silicon aluminum ratio of the framework（SARF） values deduced from ^（29）Si MAS NMR spectra and XRD, and hydroxyl amount were reasonably in accordance with the location and content of rare earth cations. The hydrothermal stability derived from in situ XRD investigation and catalyst activity provided by micro-activity test manifested that samples RE-8 to RE-14 exhibited better performances than RE-4 and RE-16, among which RE-12 had the best properties. The phenomena were interpreted by the cation location and structural properties.

Amylose Content and Starch Granule Size in Rice Grains are Affected By Growing Season

Amylose content and starch granule size in grains influence rice quality,which differs between the early(ES)and late season(LS).The objective of this study was to determine the variation of amylose content and starch granule size between seasons and find the main reasons(e.g.,temperature and solar radiation)for the observed *** experiments with six rice varieties(three high and three low amylose content rice)planted in the ES and LS were conducted in 2016 and 2017,*** mean temperatures during the filling stage were higher in ES,however,the daily temperatures at 7-10 days after flowering(DAF)in 2016,and at 5-10,13-14 DAF in 2017 were higher in *** results showed that amylose content in LS was lower than in ES with high amylose content rice varieties(HACV);the opposite trend occurred with low amylose content rice varieties(LACV).The mean starch granule diameter was higher in LS than ES in 2016,but the opposite result occurred in 2017 with all *** results suggest that higher temperatures increased and decreased the amylose content in HACV and LACV,*** at 5-15 DAF were important for the formation of starch granules:lower temperatures during 10-14 DAF increased the proportion of larger starch granules(d>6.21μm,some with d>13.3μm),and higher temperatures at 5-6 DAF increased the proportion of starch granules with diameter 4.24-6.21μm.

The growing interest in valorizing industrial by-products has led researchers to focus on exploring different sources and optimizing collagen extraction conditions over the past *** bovine hide,cattle bones,pork,and pig skins remain the most abundant collagen sources,there is a growing trend in the industrial utilization of collagen from non-mammalian *** review explores alternative marine collagen sourcesand summarizes emerging trends in collagen recovery from marine sources,with a particular focus on environmentally friendly ***,this review covers the colloidal structure-forming properties of marine collagens,including foam,film,gel,and emulsion *** also highlights the potential and important applications of marine collagen in various food *** on the currently reported marine sources,collagens extracted from fish,jellyfish,and sea cucumbers were found to have the highest yield and mostly comprised type-l collagen,while crustaceans and mollusks yielded lower percentages of *** extraction techniques isolate collagen based on acetic acid and pepsin treatment,but they come with drawbacks such as being time-consuming,causing sample destruction,and using ***,marine collagen extracted using conventional methods assisted with ultrasonication resulted in higher yields and strengthened the triple-stranded helical ***,an increasing number of new applications have been found in the food industry for marine collagens,such as biodegradable film-forming materials,colloid stabilizers,foaming agents,and micro-encapsulating ***,collagen is a modern foodstuff and is extensively used in the beverage,dairy,and meat industries to increase the stability,consistency,and elasticity of products.

Nest-like and multilayered-disk-like Bi2WO6 photocatalysts were synthesized through a hydrothermal strategy using thiourea and acetic acid as complexing agents. The nest-like Bi2WO6 showed excellent visible-light-driven photocatalytic performance, and it could decompose rhodamine B（RhB） within 100 minutes. This excellent performance resulted from its special microstructure and the relatively large surface area.

Identification and Characterization of Sulfur Compounds in Straight-Run Diesel Using Comprehensive Two-Dimensional GC Coupled with TOF MS

The solid-phase extraction using Pd-Al2O3 as the stationary phase was employed to pre-separate the sulfur compounds in straight-run diesel. The isolating effect was evaluated quantitatively by gas chromatography with a sulfur chemiluminescence detector to harvest a satisfactory result. The identification of the structure of sulfur compounds by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with the time-of-flight mass spectrometry indicated that cyclo-sulfides, benzothiophenes, dibenzothiophenes, dihydro-benzothiophenes and tetrahydro-dibenzothiophenes were included in straightrun diesel obtained from the Arab medium crude(AM). A total of 259 individual compounds were detected and their molecular structures were identified. The analytical method was approved as an effective way to characterize the composition of sulfur compounds, which reduced the interference of other compounds, facilitated the data presentation and provided more detailed information about molecular composition of sulfur compounds.
