Palladium single atoms from melting nanoparticles on WO_(3-x) for boosted hydrogen evolution reaction

Surface-supported isolated atoms in single-atom catalysts(SACs)grant maximum utilization of metals in heterogeneous ***,we report a feasible pyrolysis strategy to synthesize Pd single atoms by thermally melting Pd nanoparticles on an oxygen-vacancy-rich tungsten-oxide matrix at reduction *** ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was used to monitor the formation of zero-valence Pd single atoms and the increased metallic feature of WO_(3-x)***,the as-obtained zero-valence Pd single-atom catalyst exhibits a markedly boosted HER activity with a low overpotential(η_(10)=70 mV)at the current density of 10 mA/cm2and a small Tafel slope(b=68 mV/dec),nearly 150 mV and a 3,0-fold enhancement than those of Pd nanoparticles(η_(10)=220 mV,b=133 mV/dec)under the same *** addition,quasi in situ XPS results suggest the hydrogen spillover effect is more likely to occur on Pd single atoms during the electrochemical *** work may pave an interesting route for the rational design of highly-efficient single-atom catalysts,and the elucidation of corresponding enhanced reaction mechanisms by the utilization of advanced characterization techniques.

Dynamic simulation insights into friction weakening effect on rapid long-runout landslides:A case study of the Yigong landslide in the Tibetan Plateau,China

This study proposed a novel friction law dependent on velocity,displacement and normal stress for kinematic analysis of runout process of rapid *** well-known Yigong landslide occurring in the Tibetan Plateau of China was employed as the case,and the derived dynamic friction formula was included into the numerical simulation based on Particle Flow *** showed that the friction decreased quickly from 0.64(the peak)to 0.1(the stead value)during the 5s-period after the sliding initiation,which explained the behavior of rapid movement of the *** monitored balls set at different sections of the mass showed similar variation characteritics regarding the velocity,namely evident increase at the initial phase of the movement,followed by a fluctuation phase and then a stopping *** peak velocity was more than 100 m/s and most particles had low velocities at 300s after the landslide *** spreading distance of the landslide was calculated at the two-dimension(profile)and three-dimension scale,*** with the simulation result without considering friction weakening effect,our results indicated a max distance of about 10 km from the initial unstable position,which fit better with the actual situation.

Emergency road network structure and planning optimization in mountainous regions in Southwest China under earthquake scenarios

Emergency road networks(ERNs),an important part of local disaster prevention systems,can provide security to residents and their *** the ERNs structure is of great significance in terms of promoting disaster prevention and establishing road safety in dangerous mountainous *** study considered the ERNs of the Kangding section of the Dadu River Basin as the area for a case *** Network Analysis was used to examine the relationship between the four characteristic indicators of mountain roads and the degree of earthquake impacts under the Lushan,Wenchuan,and Kangding Earthquake *** on the analysis results,the southwest mountain road network was evaluated;then,computer simulations were used to evaluate the structural changes in the road network after index *** network was optimized,and the corresponding emergency avoidance network was proposed to provide a reference for the establishment of the mountainous *** results show that the overall completeness of the mountainous ERNs in Southwest China is poor and prone to traffic ***,the local stability is poor,and the network is susceptible to natural *** overall structure of the road network is balanced,but that of certain road sections is *** sections with different attributes present a“gathering-scattering”spatial distribution,i.e,some sections are clustered together while others are far ***,a planning optimization strategy is proposed to better understand the complexity and systematic nature of the mountainous ERN as a whole and to provide a reference for disaster prevention and mitigation planning in mountainous regions in Southwest China.

Construction of Ecological Network for Urban Green Space System from the Perspective of Landscape Ecology:A Case Study of wanzhou District, chongqing Municipality

Green spaces in wanzhou District, chongqing Municipality were not closely linked and failed to form an integrated ecological network, this paper analyzed and assessed current situation of green spaces in the local area from the perspective of landscape ecology, and then established the landscape ecology-oriented ecological network construction, restructured green paces in wanzhou District using the landscape composition of "patch–corridor–matrix", and connected the scattered green patches using green corridors, so as to form a reasonable ecological network of green spaces.

Electrochemical energy storage and conversion techniques that exhibit the merits such as high energy density,rapid response kinetics,economical maintenance requirements and expedient installation procedures will hold a pivotal role in the forthcoming energy storage technologies *** recent years,aqueous zinc-ion batteries（AZIBs） have garnered substantial attention as a compelling candidate for large-scale energy storage systems,primarily attributable to their advantageous featu res encompassing cost-effectiveness,environmental sustainability,and robust safety ***,one of the primary factors hindering the further development of AZIBs originates from the challenge of cathode ***,the three mainstream types of mainstream cathode materials,in terms of manganese-based compounds,vanadium-based compounds and Prussian blue analogues,surfer from the dissolution of Mn2+,in the low discharge voltage,and the low specific capacity,*** strategies have been developed to compensation the above intrinsic defects for these cathode materials,including the ionic doping,defect engineering,and materials ***,this review first provides a systematic summarization of the zinc storage mechanism in AZIBs,following by the inherent merit and demerit of three kind of cathode materials during zinc storage analyzed from their structure characteristic,and then the recent development of critical strategies towards the intrinsic insufficiency of these cathode *** this review,the methodologies aimed at enhancing the efficacy of manganese-based and vanadium-based compounds are emphasis ***,the article outlines the future prospective directions as well as strategic proposal for cathode materials in AZIBs.

Construction of laser-induced graphene/silver nanowire composite structures for low-strain, high-sensitivity flexible wearable strain sensors

Sandwich-structured flexible sensors based on graphene have high sensitivity and stability. When graphene is combined with a flexible substrate in a sandwich structure, the weak bonding between them compromises the sensor's stability and sensitivity at low strains. This presents challenges in monitoring subtle physiological activities, such as hand bending and pulse rate. For this purpose, laser-induced graphene(LIG) is proposed to be used to prepare flexible sensors in order to improve the sensitivity and stability of the sensors at low strains. Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) with low modulus and polyimide(PI) with rich carbon content are selected as precursor materials for LIG, and graphene is formed through laser induction. Subsequently, silver nanowires(Ag NWs) solution is added to LIG to give the sensor low strain and high sensitivity performance. When the PI/PDMS ratio is 1:3, the Ag NWs/LIG flexible strain sensor exhibits excellent sensitivity(GF=778.468) over a small strain range(8.76%-11.25%). Meanwhile, the sensor still shows excellent stability after 2000 cycle experiments. The Ag NWs/LIG flexible strain sensor shows good performance when placed on the back of the hand, around the eyes, etc. It is demonstrated that Ag NWs/LIG flexible strain sensors have good application potential in human physiological activity monitoring, health management and medical fields, and provide a low-strain, high-sensitivity sensor design strategy for flexible wearable devices.

The COvID-19 pandemic has posed severe threats to global sustainable ***,a comprehensive quantitative assessment of the impacts of COVID-19 on Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)is still *** research quantified the post-COVID-19 SDG progress from 2020 to 2024 using projected GDP growth and population and machine learning models including support vector machine,random forest,and extreme gradient *** results show that the overall SDG performance declined by 7.7%in 2020 at the global scale,with 12 socioeconomic SDG performance decreasing by 3.0%-22.3%and 4 environmental SDG performance increasing by 1.6%-9.2%.By 2024,the progress of 12 SDGs will lag behind for one to eight years compared to their pre-COVID-19 trajectories,while extra time will be gained for 4 environment-related ***,the pandemic will cause more impacts on countries in emerging markets and developing economies than those on advanced economies,and the latter will recover more quickly to be closer to their pre-covID-19 trajectories by ***-COVID-19 economic recovery should emphasize in areas that can help decouple economic growth from negative environmental *** results can help government and non-state stakeholders identify critical areas for targeted policy to resume and speed up the progress to achieve SDGs by 2030.

Metro is an important form of public transport in *** on the metro card data,we conduct the cluster analysis of Shanghai metro stations according to the pattern of passenger flow changing with *** the characteristics of travel time and surrounding land use are investigated for different types of stations to explore the relationship between urban land-use characteristics and travel activities reflected by passenger flow at metro *** is found that the passenger flow pattern of metro stations is closely related to the location conditions of stations and its surrounding land-use *** on various characteristics,285 metro stations are classified into four types,including residential-oriented stations,employmentoriented stations,employment-residence-oriented stations,and integrated functionaloriented stations,reflecting the interaction between spontaneous travel behavior and urban land-use characteristics and providing a reference for optimizing the urban functional structure and the spatial allocation of facilities.

Investigation of the 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake damages to the Zipingpu Water Control Project and an assessment of its safety state

On May 12, 2008, a major earthquake measured 8 on the Richter scale jolted Wenchuan County in Si- chuan Province, China with the epicentral intensity of XI degrees. Zipingpu Dam is located 17.17 km from the epicenter and the influence intensity at the damsite reached IX―X degrees. It is the first time in the world for such a high concrete-faced rockfill dam (CFRD) in China to experience such a strong earthquake occurring in such a short distance. Due to its location of special importance to the down- stream areas, the safety state and damaging condition of the Zipingpu Dam has attracted great atten- tions from various circles. Based on site investigation of the damages to the Zipingpu Dam and com- parison analysis of the observation data obtained before and after the earthquake, the paper makes a comprehensive assessment of the key technical issues relevant to this high CFRD, including its safety state and the high slope stability after the earthquake.

The walking friendliness of ladder trails for the elderly:An empirical study in chongqing
