Soil-borne plant diseases cause major economic losses *** is partly because their epidemiology is difficult to predict in agricultural fields,where multiple environmental factors could determine disease *** we used a combination of field sampling and direct experimentation to identify key abiotic and biotic soil properties that can predict the occurrence of bacterial wilt caused by pathogenic Ralstonia *** analyzing 139 tomato rhizosphere soils samples isolated from six provinces in China,we first show a clear link between soil properties,pathogen density and plant ***,disease outcomes were positively associated with soil moisture,bacterial abundance and bacterial community *** on soil properties alone,random forest machine learning algorithm could predict disease outcomes correctly in 75%of cases with soil moisture being the most significant *** importance of soil moisture was validated causally in a controlled greenhouse experiment,where the highest disease incidence was observed at 60%of maximum water holding ***,our results show that local soil properties can predict disease occurrence across a wider agricultural landscape,and that management of soil moisture could potentially offer a straightforward method for reducing crop losses to ***.

The synergistic effect of high voltage discharge non‐thermal plasma(NTP)and photocatalysts on contaminant removal has repeatedly confirmed by plenty of *** previous plasma‐photocatalyst synergistic systems focused on the utilization of the ultraviolet light but ignored the visible light generated by high voltage *** carbon nitride(g‐C3N4),a metal‐free semiconductor that exhibits high chemical stability,can utilize both the ultraviolet and visible light from high voltage ***,the synergistic system of NTP and g‐C3N4 has been researched *** this paper,the effect of NTP generated by dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)on g‐C3N4 is studied by comparing the photocatalytic activities,the surface physical structure and the surface chemical characteristics of pristine and plasma treated g‐*** results indicate that the DBD plasma can change the physical structure and the chemical characteristics and to further affect the photocatalytic activity of g‐*** effect of NTP on g‐C3N4 is associated with the discharge intensity and the discharge *** a long time scale,the effect of NTP on g‐C3N4 photocatalysts presents a periodic change trend.

The aim of this study was to investigate the phase transformation and kinetics of the solid-state reaction of CaO−V_(2)O_(5),which is the predominant binary mixture involved in the vanadium recovery *** analysis,X-ray diffraction spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy,and energy dispersive spectrometry were used to characterize the solid-state reaction of the *** extent of the solid reac-tion was derived using the preliminary quantitative phase analysis of the X-ray *** results indicate that the solid reaction of the CaO−V_(2)O_(5)mixture is strongly influenced by the reaction temperature and CaO/V_(2)O_(5)mole *** transformation of calcium vanadate in-volves a step-by-step reaction of CaO−V_(2)O_(5),CaO−CaV_(2)O_(6),and CaO−Ca_(2)V_(2)O7 depending on the CaO/V_(2)O_(5)mole *** kinetic data of the solid reaction of the CaO−V_(2)O_(5)(1:1)mixture followed a second-order reaction *** activation energy(Ea)and preexponential factor(A)were determined to be 145.38 kJ/mol,and 3.67×10^(8)min^(−1),respectively.

Venation is a common anthocyanin pattern displayed in flowers that confers important ornamental traits to *** anthocyanin-related R2R3-MYB transcription factor,DPL,has been proposed to regulate corolla tube venation in petunia ***,however,we provide evidence redefining the role of DPL in petunia.A CRISPR/Cas9-mediated mutation of DPL resulted in the absence of the vein-associated anthocyanin pattern above the abaxial surface of the flower bud,but not corolla tube venation,thus indicating that DPL did not regulate the formation of corolla tube ***,quantitative real-time PCR analysis demonstrated that the spatiotemporal expression pattern of another R2R3-MYB gene,AN4,coincided with the formation of corolla tube venation in ***,overexpression of AN4 promoted anthocyanin accumulation by increasing the expression of anthocyanin biosynthesis ***/Cas9-mediated mutation of AN4 led to an absence of corolla tube venation,suggesting that this gene in fact determines this key plant *** together,the results presented here redefine the prime regulator of corolla tube venation,paving the way for further studies on the molecular mechanisms underlying the various venation patterns in petunia.

Gray blight disease(GBD)causes significant losses in tea production in *** genes and biological processes involved in resistance to fungal disease in tea plants have been identified,specific mechanisms of the GBD infection process remain *** this study,morphological and multi-gene(TEF-TUB-ITS)phylogenetic characteristics were used to identify isolate CLBB1 of Pseudopestalotiopsis *** tests confirmed that isolate CLBB1 from tea leaves caused GBD in the susceptible tea cultivar Wuyi Rock(Camellia sinensis *** ***).Spores began to germinate 24 h after infection(hai),and after 48 h,elongated fungal hyphae formed from a single *** analysis revealed that 482,517,and 369 genes were differentially expressed at 24,48,and 72 hai,respectively,in Wuyi Rock tea *** CLBB1 infection elicited phenotype-related responses and activated defense-related pathways,including plant–pathogen interaction,MAPK signaling,and plant hormone signal transduction,suggesting a possible mechanism underlying phenotype-based susceptibility to ***,a new *** strain causing GBD in the tea cultivar‘Shuixian’was discovered in this *** analysis indicated that pathogen invasion activated chitin-related MAPK pathways and that tea plants required a hormone to restrict CLBB1.

Radial velocity of ocean surface current estimated from SAR Doppler frequency measurements—a case study of Kuroshio in the East China Sea

Ocean currents are a key element in ocean processes and in meteorology,affecting material transport and modulating climate change *** Doppler frequency shift information of the synthetic aperture radar(SAR)echo signal can reflect the dynamic characteristics of the sea surface,and has become an essential sea surface dynamic remote sensing *** have verified that the instantaneous Doppler frequency shift can realize the SAR detection of the sea surface ***,the validation of SAR-derived ocean current data and a thorough analysis of the errors associated with them remain *** this study,we derive high spatial resolution flow measurements for the Kuroshio in the East China Sea from SAR data using a theoretical model of shifts in Doppler frequency driven by ocean surface *** ocean multi observation(MOB)products and global surface Lagrangian drifter(GLD)data are used to validate the Kuroshio flow retrieved from the SAR *** show that the central flow velocity for the Kuroshio derived from the SAR is 0.4–1.5 m/*** error distribution between SAR ocean currents and MOB products is an approximate standard normal distribution,with the 90%confidence interval concentrated between–0.1 m/s and 0.1 m/*** analysis of SAR ocean current and GLD products,the correlation coefficient is 0.803,which shows to be significant at a confidence level of 99%.The cross-validation of different ocean current dataset illustrate that the SAR radial current captures the positions and dynamics of the Kuroshio central flow and the Kuroshio Counter Current,and has the capability to monitor current velocity over a wide range of values.

The liquid phase direct ammoximation of 5-isooctyl salicylaldehyde with ammonia and hydrogen peroxide was studied using titanium silicalite-1(TS-1)*** effect of reaction parameters on the yield of the product was studied,which include reaction temperature,reaction time,molar ratio of ammonia to aldehyde as well as hydrogen peroxide to *** influence of the amount of catalyst on the reaction results was also *** maximum 5-isooctyl salicylaldoxime yield of 98.76%was achieved under the following optimal reaction conditions:the molar ratio of 5-isooctylaldehyde to hydrogen peroxide and ammonia of 1:1.4:1.6,the reaction temperature of 70℃,the amount of TS-1 of 17.5 g·mol^(-1)(5-isooctyl salicylaldehyde),and the feeding time of 2 *** method has the mild reaction conditions and avoids the shortcomings of traditional ***,useless inorganic salts by-products are avoided,and there is no environmental pollution.

This work aimed at revealing the mechanism of strong ground pressure behaviour(SGPB)induced by high-position hard roof(HHR).Based on the supporting structures model of HHR,a modified voussoir beam mechanical model for HHR was established by considering the gangue support coefficient,through which the modified expressions of limit breaking span and breaking energy of HHR were *** with the relationship between the dynamic-static loading stress of supporting body(hydraulic support and coal wall)and its comprehensive supporting strength,the criteria of ground pressure behaviour(GPB)induced by HHR were *** types of Ⅰ_(1),Ⅰ_(2),Ⅱ_(1),andⅡ_(2) of GPB were *** showed that types Ⅰ_(1) and Ⅰ_(2) were the main forms of SGPB in extra-thick coal seam *** main manifestation of SGPB was static stress,which was mainly derived from the instability of HHR rather than ***,an innovative control technology was proposed,which can weaken static load by vertical-well separated fracturing *** research results have been successfully applied to the 8101 working face in Tashan coal mine,Shanxi Province,*** results of a digital borehole camera observation and stress monitoring proved the rationality of the GPB *** control technology was successful,paving the way for new possibilities to HHR control for safety mining.
