Sustainable development based on the value-added utilization of furfural residues(FRs)is an effective way to achieve a profitable circular *** comprehensive work highlights the potential of FRs as precursor to prepare porous carbons for high performance supercapacitors(SCs).To improve the electrochemical performance of FR-based carbon materials,a facile route based on methanol pretreatment coupled with pre-carbonization and followed KOH activation is *** defects could be obtained after methanol treatment,which is incline to optimize textural *** activated methanol treated FR-based carbon materials(AFRMs)possess high specific surface area(1753.5 m^(2) g^(-1)),large pore volume(0.85 cm^(3) g^(-1)),interconnected micro/mesoporous structure,which endow the AFRMs with good electrochemical performance in half-cell(326.1 F g^(-1) at 0.1 Ag^(-1),189.4 Fg^(-1) at 50 A g^(-1) in 6 mol L^(-1) KOH).The constructed symmetric SCs based on KOH,KOH–K_(3)Fe(CN)_(6) and KOH-KI electrolyte deliver energy density up to 8.9,9.9 and 10.6 Wh kg^(-1) with a capacitance retention of over 86%after 10,000 ***,the self-discharge can be restrained by the addition of K_(3)Fe(CN)_(6) and KI in KOH *** study provides an effective approach for high-valued utilization of FR waste.

The global spin alignment of vector mesons has been observed by the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider （RHIC） at Brookhaven National Laboratory （BNL）.It provides a unique opportunity to probe the correlation between the polarized quark and antiquark in the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma （sQGP） produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions,opening a new window to explore the properties of s *** addition,spin alignments of vector mesons have also been observed in other high-energy particle collisions such as e+e-annihilations at high energies where hadron production is dominated by quark fragmentation *** results obtained are quite different from those obtained in heavy ion collisions where quark coalescence/combination mechanism dominates suggesting strong dependence on hadronization *** comprehensive studies in different hadronization processes are *** this article,we present a brief review of theoretical and experimental advances in the study of vector meson’s spin alignments in a variety of high-energy particle collisions,with emphasis on hadronization mechanisms.

Separators play a critical role in lithium-ion ***,the restrictions of thermal stability and inferior electrical performance in commercial polyolefin separators significantly limit their applications under harsh ***,we report a cellulose-assisted self-assembly strategy to construct a cellulose-based separator massively and *** an ultrahigh ionic conductivity in electrolytes of 3.7 mS·cm^(-1) and the ability to regulate ion transport,the obtained separator is a promising alternative for high-performance lithium-ion *** addition,integrated with high thermal stability,the cellulose-based separator endows batteries with high safety at high temperatures,greatly expanding the application scenarios of energy storage devices in extreme environments.

A new kind of Mg–2 Zn–0.6 Ca(wt%) alloy was fabricated by casting and hot extrusion as a high-ductility structural material. The extruded alloy exhibits a superior elongation of ～30%, yield strength of 130 MPa and ultimate tensile strength of 280 MPa along the extrusion direction at room temperature. Microstructure, texture and tensile properties of the extruded alloy were investigated in details. The remarkable improvement of ductility is ascribed to the weakened basal texture, refined grains and a small number of second phase in the alloy.

The corrosion morphologies of aged magnesium alloy AZ80 were investigated by immersion corrosion tests, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, electrochemical measurement. The T5 heat treatment was carried out in a vacuum furnace, holding for 16 h at 177℃, and then cooling in air. The results showed intergranular corrosion （IGC） occurred as an aged AZ80 sample was immersed in 3.5 wt pct NaCI aqueous solution for 1 h and the narrow path attack progressed predominantly along the bulk β phase in the grain boundaries or took place in the eutectic areas. IGC was attributed to the network distribution of β phase along the grain boundaries, the depleted aluminium in the precipitation areas and the breakdown potential.

To realize the utilization of visible light and improve the photocatalytic efficiency of organic pollutant degradation in wastewater,a nitrogen-doped titanium-carbon composite(N-TiO_(2)/AC)prepared by sol-gel methods was applied in the photodegradation of phenol assisted by persulfate under visible light irradiation(named N-TiO_(2)/AC/PS/VIS).The results show that a synergistic effect exists between visible-light photocatalysis and persulfate *** with TiO_(2)/PS/VIS,the phenol degradation rate was found to be observably improved by 65%in the N-TiO_(2)/AC/PS/VIS *** significant increase in degradation rate was mainly attributed to the following two factors:1)The N and C doping can change the crystal structure of TiO_(2),which extends the TiO_(2)absorption wavelength range to the visible light region.2)As an electron acceptor,PS can not only prevent electrons and holes from recombining with each other but can also generate strong oxidizing radicals such as·SO_(4)^(−) and·OH to accelerate the reaction *** process of phenol degradation was found to be consistent with the Langmuir pseudo-first-order kinetic model with an apparent rate constant k of 1.73 min^(−1).The N-TiO_(2)/AC/PS/VIS process was proven to be a facile method for pollutant degradation with high pH adaptability,excellent visible-light utilization and good application prospects.

A small amount of cerium（below 1.0 wt%） addition to AZ91 alloy have been investigated on the hot tearing susceptibility（HTS） at a cooling rate of 1.5 Ks;.The HTS increased to a maximum value with a cerium addition of 0.6 wt% and then decreased to a stable status as cerium was gradually *** to high chemical activity,cerium into the melts can react with aluminum to form an Al;Ce;intermetallic compound.X-ray diffraction results also confirmed the existence of Al;Ce;.The Al;Ce;increased with the presence of the needle-like and block *** cerium levels increased,the amount of Mg;Al;*** variations between Mg;Al;and Al;Ce;resulted in a similar normal distribution of the HTS in AZ91 *** findings were further verified through the microstructure evolution and the surface morphology of fracture.
