Stable hydrogen isoscape in precipitation generated using data fusion for East China

The stable hydrogen isotope in precipitation is an effective environmental tracer for climatic and hydrologic ***,accurate and high-precision precipitation hydrogen isoscapes are currently unavailable in *** this study,a data fusion method based on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)is used to fuse the hydrogen isotopic composition(δ^(2)H_(p))of observations and isotope-equipped general circulation model(iGCM)simulations.A precipitation hydrogen isoscape with a temporal resolution of monthly and a spatial resolution of 50-60 km is established for East China for the 1969-2017 *** to building the isoscape,the performance of three data fusion methods(DFMs)and two bias correction methods(BCMs)is *** results indicate that the CNN fusion method performs the best with a correlation coefficient larger than 0.90 and root mean square error smaller than 10.5‰ when using observation as a *** fusion methods based on back propagation and long short-term memory neural network perform similarly,while slightly outperforming the bias correction ***,the CNN method is used to generate the hydrogen isoscape,and the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of the hydrogen isotope in precipitation are analyzed based on this *** generated isoscape shows similar spatial and temporal distribution characteristics to *** general,the distribution pattern of δ^(2)H_(p) is consistent with the temperature effect in northern China,and consistent with the precipitation amount effect in southern *** trend of the δ^(2)H_(p) time series is consistent with that of observed precipitation and ***,the generated isoscape effectively reproduces the observations,and has the characteristics of time continuity and relative spatial regularity,which can provide valuable data support for tracking atmospheric and hydrological processes.

Urban roads can be designated as surface flood passages to transport excess runoff during extreme storms, thereby preventing local flooding, which is known as the major drainage system. However, this practice poses significant risks, including human loss and property damage, due to the high flow rate and velocity carried by roads. Moreover, urban roads with low flood-resilience may significantly hamper the transportation function during severe storms, leading to dysfunction of the city. Therefore, there is an urgent need to transform risk-oriented flood passages into resilient urban road-based flood passages. This paper presents a systematic review of existing methodologies in designing a road network-based flood passage system, along with the discussion of new technologies to enhance system resilience. The study also addresses current knowledge gaps and future directions. The results indicate that flood management measures based on the urban road network should integrate accessibility assessment, lifeline and emergency planning to ensure human well-being outcomes. Furthermore, the special needs and features of vulnerable groups must be taken into serious consideration during the planning stage. In addition, a data-driven approach is recommended to facilitate real-time management and evaluate future works.

To clarify the connotations and extensions of urban resilience,this study focuses on the Chengdu-chongqing Economic Circle with 16 cities as research subjects.A comprehensive evaluation index system was constructed to measure the resilience of each city from 2003 to *** spatial-temporal evolution characteristics were analyzed using Kernel density estimation,standard deviation ellipse,and spatial Markov chain analysis,and the spatial Tobit model was introduced to discover the influencing *** results indicate the following:①Urban resilience in the Chengdu-chongqing Economic Circle displays an upward trend,with the center of gravity moving to the southwest,and the polarization phenomenon intensifying.②The urban resilience level in a region has certain spatial and geographical dependence,while the probability of urban resilience transfer differs in adjacent cities with different resilience levels.③Urban centrality,economic scale,openness level,and financial development promote urban resilience,whereas government scale significantly inhibits ***,this paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions to improve the urban resilience of the Chengdu-chongqing Economic Circle.

Green transformation is an unavoidable choice for resource-based cities(RBCs)that face resource depletion and environmental *** research has focused primarily on specific RBCs,making it challenging to apply green transformation strategies universally across *** fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)is a combination of qualitative and quantitative analyses that can handle multiple concurrent causality problems and determine how different conditions combine into configurations and generate an ***,to address this gap,in this study,we established a research framework for green transformation and utilized the fsQCA to examine the configurations of 113 RBCs in *** incorporating the element of time,this study explored the dynamic evolution of solutions in 2013,2016,and *** main findings indicate that individual elements do not constitute the necessary conditions for improving the green transformation efficiency(GTE),and the systematic combination of multiple conditions is an effective path for realizing the improvement of the GTE in *** transformation paths of RBCs exhibit the same destination through different ***,the combination of system environment elements and system structure elements is both complementary and *** in RBCs have led to various factor combinations and development paths,but there are some similarities in the key elements of the factor combinations at different *** environment,government support,and technological innovation are key factors that universally enhance the GTE in *** insights can assist city managers in formulating policies to drive green transformation and contribute to a better theoretical understanding of green transformation paths in RBCs.

Green transformation is an unavoidable choice for resource-based cities(RBCs) that face resource depletion and environmental pollution. Existing research has focused primarily on specific RBCs, making it challenging to apply green transformation strategies universally across cities. The fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fs QCA) is a combination of qualitative and quantitative analyses that can handle multiple concurrent causality problems and determine how different conditions combine into configurations and generate an outcome. Thus, to address this gap, in this study, we established a research framework for green transformation and utilized the fs QCA to examine the configurations of 113 RBCs in China. By incorporating the element of time, this study explored the dynamic evolution of solutions in 2013, 2016, and 2019. The main findings indicate that individual elements do not constitute the necessary conditions for improving the green transformation efficiency(GTE), and the systematic combination of multiple conditions is an effective path for realizing the improvement of the GTE in RBCs. Green transformation paths of RBCs exhibit the same destination through different paths. Additionally, the combination of system environment elements and system structure elements is both complementary and alternative. Differences in RBCs have led to various factor combinations and development paths, but there are some similarities in the key elements of the factor combinations at different stages. Economic environment, government support, and technological innovation are key factors that universally enhance the GTE in RBCs. These insights can assist city managers in formulating policies to drive green transformation and contribute to a better theoretical understanding of green transformation paths in RBCs.

Based on the conventional observation data,dual polarization radar data and NCEP reanalysis data,the large-scale circulation background field,mesoscale conditions and formation causes of a heavy rainstorm in Nanchang on July 7,2020 were *** was found that this heavy rainstorm occurred under the weather background of the confrontation between the northward air flow behind the trough and the strong southwest warm and humid air flow to the northwest of the subtropical *** divergence at the upper level,the shear in the middle and low levels,the southward movement of cold air at the low level,unusually abundant water vapor and high unstable energy caused the heavy rainstorm *** this process,under the influence of continuous eastward movement of several strong echo cells,an obvious"train effect"was formed in Nanchang,so that the local rainfall was continuous and ***,the average of VIL was about 17 kg/m 2,and its variation characteristics were consistent with the variation trend of 5-min rainfall intensity,which had a certain indicator effect on short-term heavy *** topography of the Meiling Mountain in the west of Nanchang had a great influence on the formation and precipitation distribution of the heavy rain *** was a strong rainstorm center near the mountain,and the precipitation was obviously larger than that in the plain area.
