China faces the greatest challenge from stroke in the *** death rate for cerebrovascular diseases in China was 149.49 per 100000,accounting for 1.57 million deaths in *** ranked third among the leading causes of death behind malignant tumours and heart *** age-standardised prevalence and incidence of stroke in 2013 were 1114.8 per 100000 population and 246.8 per 100000 person-years,*** to the Global Burden of Disease Study 2017,the years of life lost(YLLs)per 100000 population for stroke increased by 14.6%;YLLs due to stroke rose from third highest among all causes in 1990 to the highest in *** absolute numbers and rates per 100000 population for all-age disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)for stroke increased substantially between 1990 and 2017,and stroke was the leading cause of all-age DALYs in *** main contributors to cerebrovascular diseases include behavioural risk factors(smoking and alcohol use)and pre-existing conditions(hypertension,diabetes mellitus,dyslipidaemia and atrial fibrillation(AF)).The most prevalent risk factors among stroke survivors were hypertension(63.0%-84.2%)and smoking(31.7%-47.6%).The least prevalent was AF(2.7%-7.4%).The prevalences for major risk factors for stroke are high and most have increased over *** on the latest national epidemiological data,26.6%of adults aged≥15 years(307.6 million adults)smoked tobacco *** those aged≥18 years,age-adjusted prevalence of hypertension was 25.2%;adjusted prevalence of hypercholesterolaemia was 5.8%;and the standardised prevalence of diabetes was 10.9%.For those aged≥40 years,the standardised prevalence of AF was 2.31%.Data from the Hospital Quality Monitoring System showed that 3010204 inpatients with stroke were admitted to 1853 tertiary care hospitals during *** those,2466785(81.9%)were ischaemic strokes(ISs);447609(14.9%)were intracerebral haemorrhages(ICHs);and 95810(3.2%)were subarachnoid haemorrhages(SAHs).The average age

Background The COVID-19 pandemic and physical distancing guidelines have compelled stroke practices worldwide to reshape their delivery of care *** aimed to illustrate how the stroke services were interrupted during the pandemic in *** A 61-item questionnaire designed on Wenjuanxing Form was completed by doctors or nurses who were involved in treating patients with stroke from 1 February to 31 March *** A total of 415 respondents completed the online survey after informed consent was *** the respondents,37.8%,35.2%and 27.0%were from mild,moderate and severe epidemic areas,***,the proportion of severe impact(reduction>50%)on the admission of transient ischaemic stroke,acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)and intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH)was 45.0%,32.0%and 27.5%,*** numbers were 36.9%,27.9%and 22.3%;36.5%,22.1%and 22.6%;and 66.4%,47.5%and 41.1%in mild,moderate and severe epidemic areas,respectively(all p50%),as reported by 54.4%of the respondents,while thrombectomy was 39.3%.These were 44.4%,26.3%;44.2%,39.4%;and 78.2%,56.5%,in mild,moderate and severe epidemic areas,respectively(all pstroke during the *** were less likely to receive appropriate care,for example,thrombolysis/thrombectomy,after being admitted to the *** service in severe COVID-19 epidemic areas,for example,Wuhan,was much more severely impacted compared with other regions in China

Highly conductive and stable iodine doped argyrodite electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium batteries

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S cm-1and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,exhibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS cm-1and low areal resistance of 1.17Ω***,iodine doping could in-situ form LiI at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6from 0.8 to 1.35 mA *** resultant LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2/Li battery shows excellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g-1and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g-1and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.
