Introduction:Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)voluntary counseling and testing(VCT)clinics play a critical role in identifying and diagnosing HIV *** study aimed to describe the trend of HIV positivity rate(HPR)among chinese VCT clinics between 2015 and ***:This study utilized data from the China Information System for Disease control and prevention to analyze the trend in the HPR for VCT clinics from 2015 to *** HPR was calculated by dividing the number of newly-reported HIV cases by the number of HIV tests,multiplied by 100%.To identify temporal and spatial trends in the HPR,we employed joinpoint regression analysis and the Getis-Ord hotspot ***:From 2015 to 2022,VCT clinics in China performed a total of 22,075,386 HIV tests,leading to the identification of 260,353 HIV cases,resulting in a HPR of 1.18%.The HPR consistently declined over the study period,with an average annual percent change(AAPC)of−7.5%(95%confidence interval:−12.6%,−2.2%,P<0.05).The number of HPR hotspots also decreased from 41 in 2015 to 23 in *** HPR hotspots were primarily located in Yunnan,Sichuan,Guangdong,and Guangxi provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs).Among the 31 PLADs,16 showed a significant decrease in HPR during the study period(AAPC<0,PAAPC<0.05).Conclusions:VCT clinics in China have played a significant role in identifying HIV *** declining HPR observed in these clinics may indicates the progress has been made in some degree in mitigating HIV among high-risk ***,it is crucial to further improving the utilization of VCT clinics for HIV testing.

BACKGROUND Enhancing awareness and use of pre-exposure prophylaxis(PrEP)and postexposure prophylaxis(PEP)is vital to curb human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)***-risk behaviors prevalent among sexually transmitted infection clinic outpatients underscore the need for increased PrEP/PEP education in this *** To investigate the effects of both onsite and online health education on the knowledge of,and willingness to use,PrEP and PEP among individuals receiving PEP *** Participants were drawn from a cohort study on PEP service intervention at an std/aids outpatient clinic in designated HIV/aids hospitals in Beijing,conducted from January 1 to June 30,*** education was provided both onsite and online during *** assessing knowledge of,and willingness to use,PrEP/PEP were administered at baseline and again at 24 wk *** A total of 112 participants were enrolled in the study;105 completed the follow-up at week *** percentage of participants with adequate knowledge of,and willingness to use,PrEP significantly increased from 65.2%and 69.6%at baseline to 83.8%and 82.9%at the end of the intervention(both P<0.05).Similarly,those with adequate knowledge of,and willingness to use,PEP increased from 74.1%and 77.7%at baseline to 92.4%and 89.5%at week 24(P<0.05).Being between 31 years and 40 years of age,having a postgraduate degree or higher,and reporting a monthly expenditure of RMB 5000 or more were found to be significantly associated with knowledge of PrEP and PEP(both P<0.05).CONCLUSION The findings show that both onsite and online health education significantly improved the knowledge of,and increased willingness to use,PrEP and PEP in individuals utilizing PEP services.

Introduction:Recent data indicate a year-on-year increase in the proportion of human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(HIV/aids)cases reported among individuals aged≥50 in *** study compares the epidemiological characteristics of HIV/aids cases in populations above and below 50 years of *** doing so,it seeks to scrutinize the current epidemiological landscape of HIV within these distinct age cohorts and suggest tailored interventions for each ***:We utilized data from the chinese HIV/aids Comprehensive Response Information Management System for our comparative *** regression analysis was employed to assess the trends in standardized detection ***:In China,the number of newly reported HIV/aids cases in the 15-49 age group increased from 51,436 in 2010 to 55,397 in 2022,while it increased from 11,751 in 2010 to 51,856 in 2022 in the group aged≥50 *** years have seen a greater proportion and detection rate of HIV/aids cases among the≥50 age demographic compared to the 15-49 age *** 2022,significant statistical differences were observed between males and females in both age cohorts with respect to education,marital status,occupation,mode of transmission,location of diagnosis,and ***:The observed trend of a rising proportion of HIV/aids cases in individuals aged 50 years and older necessitates heightened *** is imperative that we develop and implement interventions specifically designed to prevent and control the transmission of HIV within this demographic.

Summary Hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection is a major public health problem in *** 2016,the World Health Organization(WHO)proposed a goal to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030,and in 2018,the National Health Commission of China launched Hepatitis C Elimination Action by *** C control and prevention has made significant progress in China in recent *** implement the“Healthy China 2030”plan and the Healthy China Initiative(2019–2030),and to contribute to the global target of eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030,the National Health Commission of China and eight other government departments jointly issued the National Action Plan for Eliminating Hepatitis C as a Public Health Threat(2021–2030)(hereinafter referred to as the“National Plan”)in *** National Plan has an overarching goal and 15 specific targets that cover health education,comprehensive prevention interventions,testing and treatment,and capacity *** National Plan introduces key tasks and strategies of“five strengthenings,one expanding,and one implementation,”i.e.,strengthening health education,comprehensive prevention,referral and treatment,drug supply,and information management;expanding testing;and implementing relevant medical insurance *** National Plan also proposes key guaranteeing measures of“four intensifications and one mobilization,”i.e.,intensification of organizational leadership,capacity building,scientific research and international cooperation,and supervision and fulfillment;mobilization of social *** National Plan is an important component of the Healthy China initiative,adhering to the integration of treatment and prevention and deepening the“integration of medical treatment,medical insurance,and medicine supplies.”In this review,we describe the National Plan and discuss its challenges and prospects.
