The rotational symmetry connection between the Species-Area Relationship(SAR)and Endemics-Area Relationship(EAR)was discovered in the frame of Species-Area *** this paper,this paired connection was applied into the impact of variation of number of species and area and dynamic change of species-abundance distribution on the curve shape of SAR and EAR,which can be integrated into the assessment of Natural Protected Areas and Ecological Restoration *** results indicate that the underestimate or overestimate of total number of species can lead to the underestimate or overestimate of extinction rate,while the reduction or expansion of area can lead to the increase or decrease in extinction *** addition,the species-abundance distribution change of community causes the shape tuning of SAR and EAR,which leads to inconsistent change of extinction ***,this SAT frame can be used as a qualitative tool in conservation and restoration management.

Antimicrobial Susceptibility and Characterization of Outer Membrane Proteins of Aeromonas hydrophila Isolated in China

Aeromonas hydrophila isolates from clinical cases （n=43） were tested against 8 antimicrobial agents and typed by outer membrane protein （OMP） pattern by using sodium dodecyl sulfate gel electrophoresis. All isolates were resistant to ampicillin （MICs, ≥16 μg mL-1） and sulfamonomethoxine （MICs≥64 μg mLl）, but susceptible to norfloxacin （MICs,≤0.5 μg mL-1）. There was a high incidence of resistance to erythromycin （90.70%） and tylosin （93.02%）, while a low incidences of resistance to ciprofloxacin （2.33%）, enrofloxacin （2.33%） and florfenicol （4.65%）. Six different outer membrane protein patterns were found among 34 isolates by analyzing proteins in the range of 22 to 50 kDa, other than 9 isolates with their respective profiles. The strains with the similar OMP profiles had similar resistances. Compared with the other strains from the same OMP patterns, NB-1, *** and MR-1 had lacked the proteins in the range of 30 to 45 kDa and their resistance to florfenicol substantially increased. It is speculated that the outer membrane protein changes might correlate with decreased susceptibility to florfenicol in the three strains. Some strains which showed completely identical OMP types had a little difference in their resistance to fluoroquinolones, indicating that there might be other factors that were involved in the antimicrobial resistance of A. hydrophila.

The sting of red imported fire ant （RIFA） could cause serious allergic response in fraction of people. These allergic reactions are mainly caused by its venom, especially venom allergen Sol i 1-4. To produce large amount of RIFA venom allergen Sol i 4 for diagnosis of RIFA allergy and allergen-specific immunotherapy, the gene encoding this protein was amplified and cloned into the prokaryotic expression vector pET43, la. The recombinant plasmid was used to transform competent cells and the recombinant proteins were expressed in E. coll. SDS-PAGE and Western blotting analysis indicated that high-level expression of Sol i 4 protein was successfully achieved. Allergenic activity analysis of the recombinant allergen Sol i 4 was then performed on rabbit. The result showed that the recombinant protein obtained had significant allergenic activity. It indicated that the recombinant allergen Sol i 4 of RIFA venom was successfully expressed in E. coli, which provided foundation for further developing therapeutic and diagnosis reagents of RIFA allergy.

Mass spectrometry (MS) stands as a pivotal tool for chemical analysis in the textile industry, capable of scrutinizing the vast majority of reported harmful chemicals. With the ever-increasing number of banned chemicals in textiles, there is a pressing need for a more systematic compilation of relevant literature on MS utilization to identify and quantify harmful substances in textiles. This article comprehensively reviews the role of MS in textile analysis over the past two decades, encompassing a wide range of sample preparation techniques, such as energy-assisted extraction, solid-phase microextraction, liquid-phase microextraction, and QuEChERS. Furthermore, it delves into MS techniques, such as gas chromatography–MS, liquid chromatography–MS, inductively coupled plasma–MS, ion mobility spectrometry–MS, and ambient ionization MS. Moreover, it offers a brief glimpse into the future of MS development in this field, highlighting ongoing research into additional sample preparation techniques for detecting hazardous chemicals in textiles. Notably, it underscores the growing interest in ambient ionization MS and the coupling of chromatography with high-resolution MS.

The development of efficient three-dimensional cell imaging technology is a necessary means to study cell composition and structure,especially to track and monitor the phagocytosis process of nanoparticles by ***,we prepared a MoO_(2)hollow nanosphere with a strong surface plasmon resonance effect in the visible light region,which exhibited an excellent surface enhanced Raman scattering *** the 4-mercaptobenzoic acid(4-MBA)molecules are modified,it can be efficiently used as Raman probe molecules to perform clear three-dimensional cell *** matter when the nanoparticles are located inside the cell,outside the cell or partly inside the cell,they all can be clearly presented by this enhanced Raman probe *** results provide a rapid and accurate method for three-dimensional imaging of cells,especially for tracking the phagocytosis of nanoparticles.

AIM:To investigate the antioxidant activity of chitooligosaccharides(COSs)on pancreatic islet cells in diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin. METHODS:The antioxidant effect of COSs on pancreatic islet cells was detected under optical microscopy and with colorimetric assay and gel *** activities of glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase,total antioxidant capacity,and content of malondialdehyde in serum and tissue slices of pancreas were examined after 60 d to determine the effect of COSs in streptozotocin-induced diabetes in rats. RESULTS:COSs can prohibit the apoptosis of pancreatic islet *** concentrations of COSs can improve the capability of total antioxidant capacity and activity of superoxide dismutase and decrease the content of malondialdehyde *** investigation in the pancreas showed that COSs have resulted in the reduction of islets,loss of pancreatic cells,and nuclear pyknosis of pancreatic cells. CONCLUSION:COSs possess various biological activities and can be used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.
