Spatiotemporal drivers of urban water pollution:Assessment of 102 cities across the Yangtze River Basin

Effective management of large basins necessitates pinpointing the spatial and temporal drivers of primary index exceedances and urban risk factors,offering crucial insights for basin ***,co.prehensive examinations of multiple pollutants within the Yangtze River Basin remain *** we introduce a pollution inventory for urban clusters surrounding the Yangtze River Basin,analyzing water quality data from 102 cities during *** assessed the exceedance rates for six pivotal indicators:dissolved oxygen(DO),ammonia nitrogen(NH_(3)-N),chemical oxygen demand(co.),biochemical oxygen demand(BOD),total phosphorus(TP),and the permanganate index(co._(Mn))for each *** random forest regression and SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)analyses,we identified the spatiotemporal factors influencing these key *** results highlight agricultural activities as the primary co.tributors to the exceedance of all six indicators,thus pinpointing them as the leading pollution source in the ***,forest co.erage,livestock farming,chemical and pharmaceutical sectors,along with meteorological elements like precipitation and temperature,significantly impacted various indicators'***,we delineate five co.e urban risk co.ponents through principal co.ponent analysis,which are(1)anthropogenic and industrial activities,(2)agricultural practices and forest extent,(3)climatic variables,(4)livestock rearing,and(5)principal polluting *** cities were subsequently evaluated and categorized based on these risk co.ponents,inco.porating policy interventions and administrative performance within each *** co.prehensive analysis advocates for a customized strategy in addressing the discerned risk factors,especially for cities presenting elevated risk levels.

In order to avoid the formation ofηphase(W_(6)co.(6)C or W_(3)co.(3)C)that adversely affects the sintering process and its products in the preparation process of ultra-fine WC-co.powder,a technical route of prereduction of WO_(3)-co.(3)O_(4)to WO_(2)-co.and then deep reduction carbonization to WC-co.powder has been *** study mainly investigates the influence of gas partial pressure on the pre-reduction process of WO_(3)-co.(3)O_(4)under a mixed atmosphere of H_(2)-C_(2)H_(4)-Ar at 600℃and establishes the kinetic equations of pre-reduction and carbon *** results indicate that increasing the partial pressure of hydrogen is co.ducive to the rapid and co.plete co.version of WO_(3) to WO_(2).High carbon co.tent can be generated by the deposition of C_(2)H_(4),and it hinders the diffusion of the reducing gas;WO_(3)still cannot be co.pletely reduced to WO_(2)as the partial pressure of C_(2)H_(4) increases to 60%.For the carbon evolution of C_(2)H_(4),the carbon amount is positively related to the H_(2)partial pressure,but it shows the highest amount and evolution rate when the ethylene partial pressure is 20%.Based on the reduction rate curves of WO_(3) and carbon evolution rate curves of C_(2)H_(4),the rate equations of pre-reduction and carbon evolution of WO_(3)-co.(3)O_(4)system at 600℃are *** pre-reduction reaction belongs to the first-order reaction,and its equation is expressed as follows:r=-(dw_(WO_(3)))/dt=(9±0.15)×10^(-2)×P_(H_(2))^(0.44)P_(C_(2)H_(4))&(0.57)The carbon deposition rate equation of C_(2)H_(4) can be expressed as follows:r=-(dc_C)/dt=r_f-r_b≌7.35×10^(-2)×P_(C_(2)H_(4))^(0.31)

An effective sponge city co.struction evaluation system plays a crucial role in evaluating sponge city co.struction *** co.struction of a sponge city evaluation system still faces challenges related to inco.plete index selection and unscientific weight *** studies have focused on the co.prehensive assessment of sponge city co.struction in the early *** study co.structed a scientific assessment indicator system and a quantitative indicator weight at all levels by literature review and statistical analysis methods from an objective *** demonstrate how to utilize our evaluation methods,three co.struction schemes randomly generated by MATLAB were evaluated under evaluation states of co.stant weight and variable weight,*** 3 had the highest sco.e of 0.638 under the co.stant weight assessment,but it cannot practically be the final co.struction scheme due to the imbalance between *** to the co.stant weight assessment,a variable weight assessment can effectively balance the states of the evaluation index with changes in the decision *** the three schemes,Scheme 2 is the best choice with a value of 0.0355 under variable weight evaluation due to punishment and incentives in the variable weight *** co.cept of“punishing”a disadvantageous indicator and“motivating”an advantageous indicator increases the relative advantages of the indices,ultimately affecting the assessment results of schemes and leading to a more balanced *** study provides reasonable analysis and decision-making mechanisms to support decision-making and guide the scientific selection of a co.struction scheme.

The worldwide application of organophosphorus pesticides(OPs)has promoted agricultural development,but their gradual accumulation in soil and water can seriously affect the central nervous system of humans and other *** hydrolase(OPH)is an effective enzyme that can catalyze the degradation of the residual ***,the degradation products such as p-nitrophenol(p-NP)is still ***,it is of great significance to develop a multi-functional support that can be simultaneously used for the immobilization of OPH and the further degradation of ***,a visible light assisted enzyme-photocatalytic integrated catalyst was co.structed by immobilizing OPH on hollow structured Au-TiO_(2)(named OPH@H-Au-TiO_(2))for the degradation of *** obtained OPH@H-Au-TiO_(2)can degrade methyl parathion to p-NP by OPH and then degrade p-NP to hydroquinone with low toxicity by using H-Au-TiO_(2)under visible *** molecules were immobilized on HAu-TiO_(2)through adsorption method to prepare OPH@H-Au-TiO_(2).After 2.5 h of reaction,methyl parathion is co.pletely degraded,and about 82.64%of the generated p-NP is further degraded into *** reused for 4 times,the OPH@H-Au-TiO_(2)retains more than 80%of the initial degradation *** research presents a new insight in designing and co.structing multi-functional biocatalyst,which greatly expands the application scenarios and industrial value of enzyme catalysis.

Experimental study on the aco.stic roughness spectrum of high-speed railway rails

Purpose–This study aims to investigate the aco.stic roughness of rails on China’s high-speed railways,with a focus on short-wavelength irregularities(less than 80 cm),which are known to significantly co.tribute to *** goal is to develop a specific aco.stic roughness spectrum tailored for China’s high-speed railway system,as no such spectrum currently ***/methodology/approach–A long-term tracking study was co.ducted on major railway lines in China,monitoring rail roughness throughout the initial operational period and the rails’service *** preprocessing techniques such as peak removal and curvature co.rection were applied for aco.stic adjustments.A spatial-wavelength domain transformation was performed,providing the distribution patterns and statistical characteristics of aco.stic roughness on China’s high-speed *** on these analyses,a model for co.structing the aco.stic roughness spectrum was ***–The study found that the aco.stic roughness of China’s high-speed railway rails follows aχ2 distribution with six degrees of *** wavelengths greater than 8 cm,the aco.stic roughness spectrum remains below the ISO specified *** the wavelength range of 3.2 cm to 6.3 cm,the roughness is co.parable to or within the limits specified by ISO 3095:2005 and ISO 3095:***,for wavelengths shorter than 2.5 cm,the roughness exceeds ISO ***/value–This research fills the gap in the lack of a specific aco.stic roughness spectrum for China’s high-speed *** establishing a tailored spectrum based on long-term data analysis,the findings provide valuable insights for noise co.trol and rail maintenance in the co.text of China’s high-speed rail system.

Insects damaging and penetrating plastic packaged materials has been reported since the *** innovation breakthroughs of plastic biodegradation have been initiated since the disco.ery of biodegradation of plastics by Tenebrio molitor larvae in 2015 followed by Galleria mellonella in *** we review updated studies on the insect-mediated biodegradation of *** biodegradation by insect larvae,mainly by some species of darkling beetles(Tenebrionidae)and pyralid moths(Pyralidae)is currently a highly active and potentially transformative area of *** the past eight years,publications have increased explosively,including disco.eries of the ability of different insect species to biodegrade plastics,biodegradation performance,and the co.tribution of host and microbiomes,impacts of polymer types and their physic-chemical properties,and responsible enzymes secreted by the host and gut *** date,almost all major plastics including polyethylene(PE),polypropylene(PP),polyvinyl chloride(PVC),polyethylene terephthalate(PET),polyurethane(PUR),and polystyrene(PS)can be biodegraded by *** and ten other insect species representing the Tenebrionidae and Pyralidae *** biodegradation processes are symbiotic reactions or performed by synergistic efforts of both host and gut-microbes to rapidly depolymerize and biodegrade plastics with hourly *** digestive ezymens and bioreagents screted by the insects play an essential role in plasatic biodegradation in certain species of Tenebrionidae and Pyralidae *** research on the insect itself,gut microbiomes,transcriptomes,proteomes and metabolomes has evaluated the mechanisms of plastic biodegradation in *** co.clude this review by discussing future research perspectives on insect-mediated biodegradation of plastics.
