Tin-117m(t1/2 14d; γ 159keV, 86%) is an ideal tracer for studyingbiological behavior of tin compounds as well as for developing clinically-useful radio-pharmaceuticals. It had been reported that Sn-117m[4+] DTPA has unexpectedlyhigh bone uptake and bone-to-blood ratio, and is potentially useful as an agent forskeletal scintigraphy and radiotherapy of bone tumors. In this work, HEDTMP [N-(2-hydroxyethyl) ethlenediamine-1,1,2-tri (methylene phosphonic acid)] was *** it form complex with 117mSn. The formation conditions, stability and distributioncoefficient between oil and water of the complex were investigated.

We develop a kind of neutron detector, which consists of a polyethylene thin film and two PIN semicon- ductors connected face-to-face. The detector is insensitive to γ-rays. Its sensitivity to neutron has been calculated with MCNP program and calibrated by experiments, and the results indicate that the neutron sensitivity of the compensa- tion detector will vary with polyethylene converter. The compensation PIN detector can be employed to measure pulse neutron in neutron and gamma mixture radiation field.

Shock properties of liquid argon were measured in the shock pressure up to 46GPa by employing the two-stage light gas gun. Liquid nitrogen was used as coolant liquid. The cryogenic target system has been improved to compare with the previous work. Shock velocities were measured with self-shorting electrical probes. Impactor velocities were measured with an electrical-magnetic induction system. Mass velocities were obtained by mean of shock impedance matching method. The experimental data shows that the slope of experimental Hugoniot curve of liquid argon begins to decrease above 30GPa.

The x ray energy loss out of laser-heated hohlraum through laser entrance holes (LEH) is discussed in detail according to a simple theoretical model and is compared with the hohlraum experimental data measured at Shenguang II laser facility. The radiation loss is considered to be composed of two parts, that is, direct contribution from laser spots and re-emitted part from the x ray-heated hohlraum inner wall, and the former accounts for about 20% of the total loss for the Shenguang II hohlraums. Owing to the non-equilibrium characteristics of laser target coupling the direct contribution part is non-equilibrium in spectrum.

After molecular structure of UF6 is optimized,molecular vibrational frequencies are calculated by LDA and GGA approaches. Some thermodynamic parameters are calculated based on the principle of statistic mechanics. Various functionals such as PWC,VWN,VWNPB,PW91,BP,PBE,RPBE,BOP with various basis sets such as MIN,DN,DND and DNP are used. The small basis sets,MIN and DN,can arrive at self-consistency. DMol3 can save more CPU’s time and resource than all electron calculations including Hartree-Fock and DFT with Gaussian code,so it should be introduced in some research,especially on compounds of lanthanide and actinide. However,comparing with the results from classical DFT,the new calculation may accompany a rather large error.

Single-electron detachment (SED) cross sections for Cr− and Ti− in collision with N2 have been obtained in the energy region of 10–30keV, for the first time to our knowledge. In the present energy range, the magnitude of the Cr−+N2 and Fe−+N2 SED cross sections is larger than that of Cu−+N2. It is also found that the cross sections for Cr− and Ti− in collisions with N2 exhibit different dependences on anion impact velocity from that of Cu−.

We have measured the equation of state for liquid nitrogen compressed dynamically to a pressure of 10-60GPa by employing a two-stage light-gas gun. The data show a continuous phase transition above the shock pressure of 33GPa, as indicated previously by shock wave experiments. A theoretical model has been derived to examine the experimental data by inducing a molecular dissociative fraction. According to theoretical and experimental data the phase transition was thought to be a molecular dissociative phase transition.

ZrN thin films were prepared on 45# steel by using ECR-microwave plasma source enhanced dc magnetron sputtering. The increase of the N2 partial pressure PN2 leads to phase transitions from ZrN and an orthorhombic ZrNx phase to an amorphous phase. At PN2 = 1.1×10−2Pa to 4.5×10−2Pa, the films contain both ZrN and ZrNx (a = 0.3585, b = 0.4443, c = 0.5798nm). At PN2 = 5.0×10−2Pa, the film shows a strong tendency towards the amorphous phase. The N concentration at different PN2 varies from 7.73 to 66.96% according to electron probe analysis. The microhardness of the samples, varying from 19.82GPa to 26.73GPa, first increases and then decreases with increasing PN2. The hardest sample has a wear rate of about 4.5×10−5mg/min. The property changes are relative to the film structure due to different N2 partial pressures.

Layered planar targets, consists of Al and Au layers, were irradiated by smoothed 0.351-µm-high power laser with relatively large focus spot on Xingguang II laser facility. The burn-through time of laser ablation to Al sample has been obtained by measuring the delay time of Au N-Band x-ray emission with respect to the Al K-Band x-ray emission. The scaling law of mass ablation rate with the laser flux has been obtained by only varying the laser energy on the target surface on different shots. The experimental scaling law is greatly different from the results of Key et al. [Phys. Fluids 23(1983) 2011] and is in good agreement with the analytical model.
