In this paper, the formula for calculating the power consumption of a bare spindle(without bobbin) is introduced, which is suitable to all spindle of similar structure. The results of calculation for D1203 spindle agrees closely with the results of measurement. The calculated results show that power is consumed by three main parts, and mostly by the part of spindle upper bearing. The way of reducing power consumption of bare spindle is also recommended in the paper.

Caprolactam is treated with dimethyl sulfate in benzene medium under conditions of various molar ratios to yield two different methylatcd products. The homogeneous reaction of caprolactam with dimethyl sulfate without any medium can only givc one methylated derivative. In a similar condition to that mentioned above, the reaction of caprolactam with diethylsulfate forms also one product, O-ethyl caprolactim. In this articlc NMR spectrum is applied to further identify the molecular structures of two methylated derivatives held by predecessors, and, applied the chemical shift reagent to induce the NMR and combined the field scanning and decoupling method to confirm the classification of signals, as a consequence the preferred conformation of caprolactam and its alkyl derivatives are proposed.

Following a sticky particle model and its computer simulation scheme proposed in the previous papers, the motions of particles in both 2-and 3-dimensional shear flow fields are simulated. At a steady state of clustering process, the radial distribution functions are calculated to precisely describe the microstructure of aggregates in dispersions, and the configuration of particles is displayed,which gives a direct view of microstructure. It is found that (1) the kind of the microstructure transforms from compact clusters to a loose network as the concentration of particles increases; (2) the microstructure is independent of shear rate which only dominates the size of clusters formed at steady state.

Direct radiation grafting of acrylic acid (AA) and methacrylic acid (MAA) onto polyethylene (PE) films was studied. The investigation of the nature and characters of grafting proceeding was performed. The penetration of grafting onto the thin PE film was studied and the mechanism discussed. This involves an initial stage whereby the grafted surface layer deforms the PE allowing further monomer to penetrate. It was shown that the surface grafting was dynamic controlled and the penetration of monomer depended on the polarity of monomer.

The orientation degree, crystal structure and surface morphology of the antimicrobial polypropylene fiber, modified with ABD2, have been studied. When the content of antimicrobial agent is lower than 1.5%, ABD2 shows little effect on the orientation degree and surface morphology but influences the crystal structure. With increasing the content of ABD2, the antimicrobial fiber is easy to form into α-crystal while the crystallinity changes little and the variation of crystallite size does not follow apparent regularity.

Oil pollution is a serious environmental and natural resource *** adsorption materials for oil–water separation have limitations in terms of their preparation cost,reusability,and mechanical *** the conventional adsorption materials,super-hydrophobic/super-lipophilic materials are easily contaminated by *** this study,polypropylene(PP)is used as a foam substrate to prepare an open-cell PP foam via hot pressing,supercritical CO_(2) foaming,and electron beam(EB)*** impact of EB irradiation dose on the open-cell content of PP foam can lead to cell wall rupture,resulting in an open-cell structure that enhances oil-water separation *** an absorbed radiation dose of 200 kGy,the PP foams exhibit optimal oil–water separation performance,cyclic compression stability,heat insulation,and preparation *** open-cell content of PP foam is increased to 86.5%,the adsorption capacity for diesel oil is 42.8 g/g,and the adsorption efficiency remains at 99.6%after 100 cycles of oil desorption in a complex pH ***,cracks and nano-voids simultaneously promote the capillary action of oil,and the oil transport rate is 0.0713 g/(g·s).This study provides a new concept for the preparation of open-cell polymer foams that can meet the demand for high oil-absorption capacity under complex acid-base pH conditions.

MIL-53(Fe) was successfully prepared and deposited on the surface carboxylated polyester(PET) fiber by an optimized conventional solvothermal or industrialized high temperature pressure exhaustion(HTPE) process to develop a PET fiber supported MIL-53(Fe) photocatalyst(MIL-Fe@PET) for the degradation of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) in water under light emitting diode(LED) visible irradiation. On the basis of several characterizations, MIL-Fe@PET was tested for the photocalytic ability and degradation mechanism. It was found that temperature elevation significantly enhanced the formation and deposition of MIL-53(Fe) with better photocatalytic activity. However, higher temperature than 130℃ was not in favor of its photocatalytic activity. Increasing the number of surface carboxyl groups of the modified PET fiber could cause a liner improvement in MIL-53(Fe) loading content and photocatalytic ability. High visible irradiation intensity also dramatically increased photocatalytic ability and PVA degradation efficiency of MIL-Fe@PET. Na_(2)S_(2)O_(8) was used to replace H_(2)O_(2) as electron acceptor for further promoting PVA degradation in this system. MIL-Fe@PET prepared by HTPE process showed higher MIL-53(Fe) loading content and slightly lower PVA degradation efficiency than that prepared by solvothermal process at the same conditions. These findings provided a practical strategy for the large-scale production of the supported MIL-53(Fe) as a photocatalyst in the future.

The concept of Virtual Enterprise (VE) is closely related to the Global Manufacturing (GM) paradigm. How to develop a computer system which supports the product development in VE is an issue to be discussed in this paper. The emphasis is placed on the product modelling in the VE context. In the paper, a new concept of information modelling called ’heterogeneous data’ situation is clarified, which is further related to the ’Instance As Type’ (TAT) phenomenon. Modelling for IAT is discussed. Modelling for the partner company behaviour is presented as well.

Navigation of anutonomous mobile robots in known environments has been studied extensively. But the algorithms for controlling progress through unknown environments have not received much study. In this paper, we put forward a new exploration scheme which is based on learning. While travelling, robots use their range/vision sensors to perceive the external world. Newly acquired information about obstacles is added to the system’s knowledge base through learning. And the updated knowledge base is used in planning future navigation paths, thus the generated paths will improve gradually.
