The Relationship between Water Resources Use Efficiency and Scientific and Technological Innovation Level: Case Study of Yangtze River Basin in china

The Yangtze River Basin’s water resource utilization efficiency(WUE)and scientific and technological innovation level(STI)are closely connected,and the comprehension of these relationships will help to improve WUE and promote local economic growth and conservation of water.This study uses 19 provinces and regions along the Yangtze River’s mainstream from 2009 to 2019 as its research objects and uses a Vector Auto Regression(VAR)model to quantitatively evaluate the spatiotemporal evolution of the coupling coordination degree(CCD)between the two subsystems of WUE and STI.The findings show that:(1)Both the WUE and STI in the Yangtze River Basin showed an upward trend during the study period,but the STI effectively lagged behind the WUE;(2)The CCD of the two subsystems generally showed an upward trend,and the CCD of each province was improved to varying degrees,but the majority of regions did not develop a high-quality coordination stage;(3)The CCD of the two systems displayed apparent positive spatial autocorrelation in the spatial correlation pattern,and there were only two types:high-high(H-H)urbanization areas and low-low(L-L)urbanization areas;(4)The STI showed no obvious response to the impact of the WUE,while the WUE responded greatly to the STI,and both of them were highly dependent on themselves.Optimizing their interaction mechanisms should be the primary focus of high-quality development in the basin of the Yangtze River in the future.These results give the government an empirical basis to enhance the WUE and promote regional sustainable development.

Climate extremes, characterized by droughts and floods, have become one of the major constraints to sustainable improvement of rice productivity. Variety choice, considered as one of the main adaptation measures, could help farmers reduce yield loss resulting from these extremes. Based on a three-year panel survey of 1 080 Chinese rice farms in major rice producing provinces, we assume Hicksian neutral technology and employ an IV regression to estimate the average treatment effect(ATE) on rice yield for adopting stress tolerant variety, and find that farmers who adopted the stress tolerant variety on average increased rice yield by 15.5% in comparison to the non-adopters.

With the popularity of mobile terminals,Quick response(QR) code, which acts as a convenient and quick way to transfer graphic information, has been widely used in various fields. QR code is a 2D matrix code which contains information in both vertical and horizontal directions. In order to promote the characters encoding efficiency, we propose the improved character encoding methods based on QR code. Specifically, we divide the types of encoding data into Chinese characters and nonChinese characters, and thus optimizing their encoding methods separately: we apply the branch-bound algorithm to optimize the encoding pattern selection of QR code; as for Chinese characters, based on the Chinese characters use frequency generated by Url crawler system, we design a new encoding method for Chinese characters. Our approach has been shown to afford better experimental test results compared with traditional encoding methods of QR code.

In order to promote the green,healthy and sustainable development of Platycodon grandiflorus industry,the current situations of P.grandiflorus industry development in Shandong Province were analyzed.That is,an advantageous area has been gradually formed;product processing is diversified;industrialization development pattern is gradually emerging.Three problems in the development of P.grandiflorus industry were deeply analyzed.That is,it is difficult to control product quality;the problem of soil obstacles to continuous cropping is serious;the problem of talent shortage is prominent.Four countermeasures for the next development were put forward as follows:increasing government support,strengthening the construction of talent team,implementing crop rotation or intercropping,and increasing technology promotion.

Introduction:Raw milk is the basic raw material of dairy products.Bacillus cereus(B.cereus)is a typical conditional pathogenic bacteria and cold-phagocytic spoilage bacteria in raw milk.Materials and Methods:In this study,a quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)method for detecting B.cereus in raw milk was established.The specificity of the method was verified by using other Bacillus bacteria and pathogenic bacteria;the sensitivity of the method was evaluated by preparing recombinant plasmids and simulated contaminated samples;and the applicability of the method was verified using pure spore DNA.The actual sample detection was completed by using the established qPCR method.Results:The qPCR established in this study can specifically detect B.cereus in raw milk.The limit of detection of the method was as low as 200 CFU/mL,the limit of quantification ranged from 2×10^(2)to 2×10^(8)CFU/mL,and the amplification efficiency of qPCR was 96.6%.Conclusions:The method established in this study can distinguish B.cereus from other Bacillus bacteria,and spore DNA can be used as the detection object.This method has the advantages of strong specificity,high sensitivity,wide application range,and short detection time,which isexpectedtobeapplied in thedairy industry.

This paper made an empirical analysis of china＇s agricultural growth path and influential factors using the province-level panel data of agricultural inputs and outputs during 1985-2010.The findings indicate that the increase in agricultural inputs and TFP contributed 40.6 and 55.2% to the agricultural output growth,respectively;china＇s agriculture had jumped out of the pattern which output growth was mainly driven by increasing input.Of the total inputs,chemical fertilizer had the most important contribution to the output growth,followed by mechanical inputs.The contribution of land and labor was negative.china＇s agricultural output growth belonged to the type of induced technology innovation.china＇s agricultural TFP growth had characteristics of fluctuations over time and unbalanced between regions,but the gap between the eastern,the middle,and the western regions has been narrowed.

To ensure safe use of genetically modified organisms(GMOs),since 1993,china has made great efforts to establish and improve the safety regulatory system for GMOs.Here,we summarize and analyze the regulatory framework of agricultural GMOs,and the progress in regulatory approval of GM crops in china.In general,the development of GMO safety regulations underwent four stages:exploration(1993–2000),development(2001–2010),improvement(2011–2020)and current(2021-present)stage.The first formal regulation was promulgated in 1993,which provided a basis for further development of the regulations,during the exploration stage,when insect-resistant GM cotton,expressing genes from Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt),was approved for cultivation.During the development stage,the Chinese government issued a series of administrative measures,which covered almost all the fields relative to GMO safety when the basic regulatory system was established.Along with the controversy over GMO safety,the regulations have been further,and greatly improved,during improvement stage.From 2021,a few additional revisions have been made,and meanwhile,the new regulation on gene-edited crops was introduced with the development of biotechnology,forming a relative complete regulation and law system for china.The well-developed GMO regulations establishes a firm basis for safe use of GM crops in china.Currently,GM cotton and GM papaya have been widely grown on a large scale in china that have brought great economic and ecological benefits.In addition,12 corn events,3 soybean events,and 2 rice events have also obtained biosafety certification,but presently,these lines have yet to enter commercial production.However,several GM soybean and corn events have entered pilot industrialization,and can soon be expected to be commercially grown in china.In addition to planting,six GM crops,including soybean,corn,cotton,canola,papaya and sugar beet,with a total of 64 events,have been approved for import as processing material in china.

The personalized recommendation of the cloud platform for agricultural knowledge and agricultural intelligent service is one of the core technologies for the development of smart agriculture.Revealing the implicit laws and dynamic characteristics of agricultural knowledge demand is a key problem to be solved urgently.In order to enhance the matching ability of knowledge recommendation and service in human-computer interaction of cloud platform,the mechanism of agricultural knowledge intelligent recommendation service integrated with context-aware model was analyzed.By combining context data acquisition,data analysis and matching,and personalized knowledge recommendation,a framework for agricultural knowledge recommendation service is constructed to improve the ability to extract multidimensional information features and predict sequence data.Using the cloud platform for agricultural knowledge and agricultural intelligent service,this research aims to deliver interesting video service content to users in order to solve key problems faced by farmers,including planting technology,disease control,expert advice,etc.Then the knowledge needs of different users can be met and user satisfaction can be improved.

Assessment of Building External Wall Thermal Performance Based on Temperature Deviation Impact Factor under Discontinuous Radiant Heating

As the variation and timely meeting thermal environment requirement of indoor air temperature has a close relationship with the thermal performance of building external wall under discontinuous radiant heating condition, one appropriate assessment method or index for assessing the building external wall thermal performance is very necessary. In order to reasonably evaluate the thermal performance of external wall under discontinuous radiant heating condition and build the direct connections and interactions among the indoor air temperature, external wall inner surface temperature and outdoor air temperature, the first and second impact factors of temperature deviation were established, based on one mathematical model of room heat transfer. For one experimental room and four types of external walls under discontinuous radiant heating condition, both the influence of the external wall inner surface temperature deviation on the indoor air temperature and that of the outdoor air temperature deviation on the external wall inner surface temperature were determined effectively with the first and second impact factors of temperature deviation. In addition, favourable performance for the self-insulation and inner insulation walls were found, due to their superiority in effectively and timely improving the indoor thermal environment under discontinuous radiant heating condition.
